National Enquirer Blind Item

WHAT former child star – she’s currently on a new sitcom – has turned into a psycho germaphobe who’s driving her new co-stars and crew insane with her daily disinfection demands? The clean freak/new mom is constantly taking extra steps to make sure that she and her baby are healthy and don’t inhale any dangerous chemicals on the set!

  1. Blossom doesn't have a new baby and I've seen pics of her nursing her toddler on the NYC subway

Does Duff have a new show?

  2. Can't be Blossom. Big Bang isn't new. I don't have a guess yet, though.

  3. One of the Mowry twins, Tia or Tamera? I know one had a baby and one is preggo. Idk if they are on a new show tho.

  7. I like the Melissa Joan Hart guess, but her sitcom isn't really new anymore. Not saying I have a better guess though...

  8. What about Christina Applegate?

  9. alicia silverstone? she's on suburgatory. her kid is over a year old tho; not sure if that qualifies as "new mom."

i don't think melissa joan hart is on a new show is she? also she's pregnant but not sure if she's given birth yet?

  10. Melissa Joan Hart hasn't popped yet, I think. But she already has two other kids so I don't know why she'd be a freak this time around.

  11. How about Selma Blair? Her baby was born not long ago and, frankly, i'd be a germaphobe if I were working with Charlie Sheen, too.

  12. I like the Christina Applegate guess - she has made a few comments about chemical-free baby products.

Was Selma Blair a child star?

  13. Selma Blair didn't have her first role until she was 23.

  14. I just read this morning that Tempestt Bledsoe of The Cosby Show is on a new sitcom, Guys With Kids (which, apparently, is crap). I know nothing about her, whether she has a new kid or if she's even well known enough to warrent a blind....but could be her!

    ReplyDelete
  15. Does "new" sitcom mean one that is about to debut or one that was new last season? I thought I was onto something with Tempestt Bledsoe from "Guys with Kids," but she doesn't have any kids.

  16. Derp. Totally spaced on the child star thing.

  17. Hey Erin, great minds!!

  18. HILLARY DUFF! She's going to go back to tv and she just had a baby.

  19. Tempest does not have kids

    hilary duff seems good

jodi sweeten i thought for a min--child star , new show, kids, addictive personality ,but, is she a new mom?

  20. Melissa Joan Hart. Melissa and Joey is one of my guilty pleasures, there is just something very likeable about Joey Lawrence.

'oh oh oh, there's nothin' my love can't fix for you baby, I'm positive of this I'll tell you'

    *sigh*

  21. Hillary Duff. She signed for a new show.

  22. I don't see this being Hillary Duff. She's a smoker, which I'm not mentioning in disapproval, because it's her choice, but I can't picture a (relatively) new mother who smokes cigarettes (which she still does) being all that fanatical about unseen germs.

  23. It doesn't also mean a new, as in just started sitcom. I've noticed these blinds aren't always worded in the best way.

It could mean a 'new' sitcom for her. Like, "She got a new job." Doesn't mean the company is new.

  24. Tia or Tamra Mowery, I know one of them is on a sitcom and they both have or having kids, I don't know which one.

  25. No Amber it's MEEE!!!

I went to the ATM yesterday and used the sticky touch screen. Was grossed out and thought must wash hands ASAP. Then I got myself a soda and remember the safety cover on the straw. Ack! I touched the straw. Had to do it like 3 times before I decided it was safe!

    Germs!!!! Disease!!!! It's everywhere!!!!

Normal contact with germs is good for babies. Otherwise you wind up with a kid who is constantly sick once they start going to day care or pre-school. I'm not saying you should let them play in medical waste, but neither is it a good idea to coat them in Lysol.

  27. There is NOTHING likeable about Joey Lawrence. I have had the misfortune of dealing with him back in the Blossom days, then when he was getting married (about 5 or 6 year ago I think - it's all a blur) then right when the show started. Dude is a supreme dickhead!

  28. @Theresa see those dreams of mine over there? They're shattered now. Details please!

    ReplyDelete
  29. The awful, awful Melissa Joan Hart.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Tex, I am right there with you, a little bit of dirt and germs make healthier kids later, and Theresa, spill!

  31. Did anyone watch Joey Lawrence on Whatch What happens live? His outfit was terrible. I totally thought he was a douchebag. Love live TV

Joey Lawrence is the absolute lowest. Small man complex to the max. Gross.

    WHOA!!
    That made me laugh

I don't like Joey Lawrence either. Probably not for the same reasons as Theresa though. When I worked at Wet Seat in high school, we had a giveaway where Joey was going to take you on a shopping spree and to a taping of Blossom. I was forced to listen to his songs repeatedly, stare at a 10 ft cutout of his likeness (motorcycle jacket with no shirt underneath - the shirt was tied around his waist instead?) and I had to answer the phones with some type of weird Joey greeting.
If I ever see Joey in a dark alley one day, he's getting a wicked flick to the forehead

  34. What about Shawnee Smith? She is in Anger Management with Charlie Sheen and started acting as a 10 year old.
Her son was born halfway through 2010 though, so I don't know if that counts as a 'new mom' xD

    ReplyDelete
  35. Or Selma Blair, from the same show. Her kid was born mid-2011.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Oh scratch that. Selma wasn't a child actor xD

  37. Sunny, did you mean Wet Seal?

    ReplyDelete
  38. @Bubbles
Oh my God - ha!!! Yes, Wet Seal!! I am typo Queen today, but that one was borderline DIRTY! :)

    ReplyDelete
  39. Think this is Tia Mowry. She's signed to do a new sitcom on Nick called Instant Mom. If you've ever seen her on Tia and Tamera you could imagine this being her.

  40. I was a pathology technician & everyone is correct re: letting kids get a bit dirty. A babies immune system develops because antigens in food and dirt etc mimic the antigens of bacteria and viruses, allowing your body to develop antibodies to infections before you get sick.

    ReplyDelete
  41. @Sunny too funny. My kind is boggling as to what the Joey greeting was?!

    ReplyDelete
  42. @Sarah
    Confession:
I worded that for comedic effect, but it was part of a summer promotion where I had to answer the phone with "Summer sizzlers at Wet Seal, this is Sunny".

And I kinda say my S's like Drew Barrymore so that's a double kick in the balls if Joey dares to cross my path
    :) :) :)

  43. I never get tired of the Wet Seal stories, and thanks for the back up on this one feral!

I think at some point, Contempo merged with The Seal, but they will forever be my nemesis. Imagine my shame, when W.S was touting Joey Lawrence as the hunkiest hunk that ever was, while CONTEMPO got to promote the movie Clueless. Hello??? Over the knee socks, plaid skirts and saying AS IF any time you are asked a question?
I think we can see the clear winner here

  45. A germaphobe would be scared of germs rather than "dangerous chemicals" since chemicals tend to kill microbes. I vote as totally made up as Enty's *blinds*.

    ReplyDelete
  46. @Sunny that's hilarious!

    ReplyDelete
  47. @Sarah
Why did I think you were from England? I was going to say you'd get the Wet Seal/Contempo rivalry even more if you lived in the States - but you do :)
