Matthew Fox shaved. He colored his hair and he looks healthy. The one thing the former Party of Five star did not do at the premiere of his new movie was mingle with the fans. He posed for a couple of photographs with fans but didn't look happy to do it and was even less happy to sign anything. Say what you will about Tom Cruise and you can say a lot, I will tell you right now that he will do absolutely anything to promote a movie. If you want him to talk to every radio station in the world he would make it happen. He would have tried to meet as many fans as he could and especially at a time when he needs fan support. This has been a rough year for Matthew Fox and he should have been in that crowd in Toronto like he was passing out free tickets to the upcoming non-existent season of the Leafs. Maybe crowds are a trigger, but the guy did not look his best when interacting and also looked like he wished he was somewhere else. Still though, better than drinking and driving or hitting people.
He's a woman beater. F*ck him.

Yeah, I still see a violent drunk abuser in that photo. Hair dye doesn't cover that. Has he accepted responsibility and apologized yet? No? Okay, moving on.

I spent an hour or so with Tom Cruise, and it's true. He'll do anything to sell a film, especially when he needs to win people back. I watched him do it. He's a machine about it.

ReplyDeleteTommy Girl saved a photographer I know from falling on his ass at the Festival.
ReplyDeleteIt was the red carpet, the photographer was crouching a bit to get different shot. He was bumped, and began falling backwards. Tom saw this happening and in a split second, grabbed his hand and with a steel grip, and pulled him into an upright position. But, he did it in a way to preserve the photographer's ego.
Tom pretended he was shaking the photographer's hand and said stuff like, "good to see you again". All the while pulling him upright.
Unless you were watching the photog, everyone else around them assumed Tom was greeting him, not saving him.
I think Tom's beliefs suck, but he earned points from me with this.

ReplyDeleteChilie - Tom Cruise sounds like a very famous guy who has been living in a bubble for a very long time and has had a steady stream of fawning yes-men stroking his ego. I think he is probably a nice guy but not terribly intelligent, and some people (the Church of Scientology) have taken advantage of that fact. I really have no problem believing he is a nice guy because many people have said that for a long time. I think, however, that he has not been nice to the women in his life, and he has treated them deplorably because of his misguided religious beliefs. It's hard to get past that, and I never watch his films for that reason, and because I think he's a shitty actor and don't get what all the fuss is about.
