South Korean rapper, PSY was on Ellen and Britney Spears happened to be there so of course all three have to dance to PSY's hit Gangnam Style. Dress classy, dance cheesy.
Aw, I thought Brit looked good. She was a good sport and seemed to be having fun. I actually think she seemed pretty on the ball and picked up the moves pretty quickly.
Robot! I did too! Remember the Honest Trailer for Hunger Games? I clicked on Gangnam Style at the end by accident and watched it 3 times! It is so ridiculous you can't help but laugh!!!
I'm taking those moves out on the town! Horsey Style!!!
The song is way irritating -- it makes me remember when I lived in Suwon (home of Samsung, south of Seoul) and when we took the bus into the city, we always got out at Kang Nam (which everyone insists on spelling with a G) where there were posh Italian menswear shops, Starbucks, all kinds of spas and malls and luxurious "modern" condos. I loved living in Korea.
@Paris, I think the length is great for her. But only with heels. Flats would be awful with that length.
That dress is very unforgiving though. I'd be sucking it in for dear life.
Hasn't Ellen always been cheesy? I've never watched her show and have only seen clips like this but doesn't she dance through the audience every day? My mom thinks that's hilarious. I do not.
I think Brit looked completely flummoxed by the whole thing, even before PSY came out. She kept wringing her hands while Ellen talked. But I thought she did ok, for someone that is really just a shell. On the other hand, Simon Cowell was his usual "Oh, no, not for me, thanks. I'll just sit here and watch you two make fools of yourselves and criticize you." Ick.
Britney looked uncomfortable until someone put her in "learn choreography" - mode. Then she was OK *L*. I thiought she looked good though - I would be in a pile of broken bones trying to dance in those heels!
@Paris, you and I are very similar in our opinion of legs and I rarely throw out a compliment about them but here, I like. But if she wore flats with that length... egads!
I think it's just a fun fad...like the Macarena and Achy Breaky Heart.
Britney was probably nervous because Simon Scowell was there staring.
Whenever a woman is sitting beside him he has this open arm, possessive air. It must make boyfriends and husbands want to punch him out quite regularly.
Britney seemed nervous during the interview but she seemed comfortable once she started to dance. Plus i will say that it must of been painful in those heels!

Please kill me now.
ReplyDeleteIf Britney dyed her hair brown, she'd look just like Sarah Palin here...
ReplyDeleteFSP - only if you give me that baby sandwich first!
ReplyDeletePoor Brit - she just looks so uncomfortable and drugged up... :(
ReplyDeleteCompletely @snoopy
DeleteI love that video.. I cannot stop playing it!
ReplyDeleteNot of the Ellen episode, the actual video. Guess I should have clarified that.
DeleteI'm so learning this for the tailgating lot next home game.
ReplyDeleteBrit gives me the sadz.

ReplyDeleteI love that song. I also love the Oregon Ducks' lip dub version.
ReplyDeleteWell, Britney was definitely uncomfortable but that's her usual look these days. But I'm now completely hooked on PSY! He. is. awesome.
ReplyDeleteShe was uncomfortable during this segment because Ellen surprised her. She seemed fairly relaxed the rest of the show.
ReplyDeleteWow, Britney looks gorgeous. Those shoes are not made to stand in, let alone dance so I'm cutting her some slack.
ReplyDeleteThe Macarena of 2012.
ReplyDeleteEvery time Britney says, "Yes" it creeps me out. Poor thing.

Poor Brit Brit is like wha... Who? Ohhhh.
ReplyDeleteDance... What dance?
Why did Ellen have to become a cheeseball? And poor BS.
ReplyDeleteBritney, you should never ever ever wear a skirt that length. Not flattering at all.
ReplyDeletePants are your friend.
This song makes me want to kill myself but I have to say that when he introduced himself to the audience, he touched a sweet spot in me.

ReplyDeleteBritney looks very conservative there. Has anyone read the English translation of the song? It's so stupid.

And the dance lesson was so short. If you like cheesy dancing, you might enjoy this (sorry if already seen) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qXp8T097vjc

ReplyDeleteanita, I don't like her enormous calves, so I think it is unflattering.
ReplyDeleteShe has great thighs. I like when she wears above the knee skirts with knee high boots.

ReplyDeleteYeah, you're right, Anita. I forgot that she dances every day. I guess I just blocked that from my mind.

ReplyDeleteBut truth be told, it's that dress I love.
@Ruby, I think that's best ;)

I thought he was singing, "Condom style!" Like a public service announcement.
ReplyDeleteThat's right, kids. Always use contraceptives. Always go condom style.
@Barton Fink, I think the point of the song is that Psy is making fun of all the posh people and crap of Gangnam/Kang Nam.
ReplyDeleteI will be so happy when the nude platform stiletto goes out of style.

ReplyDeleteJesus Christ... When did Brit turn into a middle aged politician campaigning for her Republican seat?
