  2. Boy Meets World! Love that show...seems like they had a lot of fun.

    ReplyDelete
  3. OMG!!! The Brady Bunch! Oh wait better yet Fantasy Island!!! the plane the plane......

    ReplyDelete
  4. I'm going to pretend I didn't see the word "sitcome", and say Sons Of Anarchy. In which I would get rid of Tara and do filthy things to Jax Teller.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Yes, "sitcome". That may or may not have been a freudian slip.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Northern Exposure.

I have never loved any other tv show as much as that one!

    ReplyDelete
  7. I would say Cheers, so I could drink beer.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Maybe Happy Days? That might not be my final answer, but it's what comes to mind immediately.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Revenge or The Office.

    ReplyDelete
  10. I would love to have played Kelly Bundy's boyfriend on a premium cable (Showtime TV equals less clothing) version of Married With Children. I love Christina Applegate.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Any Nickelodeon show that Dan Schneider was associated with. We'd be living on my own private island with the $$ from the book that I would write.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Arrested Development or Curb Your Enthusiasm

Golden Girls. I'm the Blanche type.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Golden girls too!!
    I'm more of a Sophia.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I'd have to say Big Bang Theory. I love the big brains and the incredible comedy. Alternatively, i'd have to say Friends - a group of great friends who were happy for the most part, lived in NYC & almost never worried about money!

    ReplyDelete
  16. Cheers was the first thing that came to mind. Not just for my Vodka tonics either. I would to sit around and talk to people about random stuff all day long....

Second pick! Fantasy Island - where anything and everything is possible!!! That makes me remember Love Boat. Now that's where I want to be. Love Boat final answer!

  17. Fawlty Towers. I’d like to be on the staff. I’d laugh all day, every day. I love laughing, can’t keep a straight face for long.....except in work. My family call me Auntie Fun.Have to be very sombre and professional in work!

    ReplyDelete
  19. Stupid blogger! I meant to say "I would LOVE to sit around and talk to people about random stuff all day". Hmmm. That sounds familiar. Kinda like a CDaN sitcom!

    ReplyDelete
  20. They seem like they have so much fun on The Office, so I would love to be on that. I loved King of Queens too- Kevin James, Lea Remini, Jerry Stiller- they had great chemistry and were all hysterical. I could have been Carrie's New Jersey cousin.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I forgot about the love boat!! Yes, I would be the captain on that!!!:)

    ReplyDelete
  22. The Cosby Show! or Scrubs.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Anonymous10:29 AM

I'll go with Facts of Life :)

    ReplyDelete
  24. There are too many to choose from that i love dearly but it would have to be The Golden Girls or The Cosby Show

    ReplyDelete
  25. Me too billybob. I love to laugh. All. The. Time. I have to try hard to keep it together and NOT say dumb stuff while I'm at work.

No more typing on my phone.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Absolutely Fabulous.

    ReplyDelete
  27. All in the Family. Archie and Edith are a hoot!

    ReplyDelete
  28. heers, dia papaya....I love your name. You sound very exotic and thirst-quenching. We’d get into tons of trouble if we worked together....but the day would fly by! And if Frufra is there......Hi from the UK! Hope you are having lots of sunshine today.

    ReplyDelete
  29. What @Vicki said! Long live MST3K!

    ReplyDelete
  30. Dallas! New or old, doesn't matter.

Wait. New. I just can't with the 80s hair.

    ReplyDelete
  31. @billybob - I've never been called an exotic thirst quenching drink before. I hope you meant drink. Otherwise, so scandalous!

Let's turn me into a drink! The dia part rhymes with papaya, just so everyone knows how to say it. DIE-a Papaya. Coming soon to a cruise ship near you! Hahaha!

Oh billybob, the fun we would have!

    ReplyDelete
  32. @dia papaya - I've been wanting to tell you this for a long time but because someone else said something about your name, I'm going to right now: My name is pronounced "Maya", and my husband calls me "Maya Papaya". I was actually going to change my handle to that, and then you came along.

    Bitch.

    ;)

    ReplyDelete
  33. Arrested Development or The IT Crowd. :)

    ReplyDelete
  34. Hmm. Partridge Family? Groovy bus and Keith all to myself... Yessss...

    /lech

Maybe Gomer Pyle. I have such a soft spot for good ol' Gomey. I wouldn't want to be in the Marines though!

    ReplyDelete
  35. Sex and the City they lived in nice aparments, wore clothing I could never afford and never really seemed to work that much. Plus they ate out and went to the bar all the time without weight gain.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Will & Grace, just because it's my all-time favorite show.

I'd get to live in New York, drink with Karen, shop with Grace, go clubbing with Jack, and have Will iron my clothes.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Three's Company! Oh how the zaniness would ensue!

    ReplyDelete
  38. "Liza and David"

    ReplyDelete
  39. As a kid I always wanted to live with Ricky Shroeder on "Silver Spoons"...handsome father and giant mansion with a train you could ride on! Also wouldn't mind living in Star Trek Next Generation...TO THE HOLODECK!

    ReplyDelete
  40. I'm going with Sabrina the Teenage Witch (providing I have magical powers).

    ReplyDelete
  41. Anonymous11:02 AM

    I love,lucy

    ReplyDelete
  42. @sparklynan Not a sitcom, but kudos for mentioning TNG.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Big Bang Theory or Frasier.

    ReplyDelete
  44. dia and Maja........you tasty little darlings! Yes dia....I meant the drink hahahaha......with a nice splash of guava juice.....and a pink umbrella!

    ReplyDelete
  45. Beverly Hills 90210 - the original obviously because the remake sucks ass.

Brandon and Dylan would be fighting over me. I'd have a thing with Brandon for a while but I would end up with Dylan because everyone knows the bad boys are more fun!

Sigh. God I loved that programme.

    ReplyDelete
  46. the same question was asked last week on the podcast "Totally Rad Show". I would wanna be in "Modern Family".

    ReplyDelete
  47. I would love to live in Mayberry. I even like the clothes from that era.

But if we're doing "Golden Girls", I happen to be a Dorothy-type! I am neither super-tall, nor deep-voiced, but the dry sarcasm is my thang.
My friends in High School, we all had OUR GG identity---I have always been a Dorothy.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Ok I changed my mind again:) How about Andy Griffith - they were just so wholesome and aunt Bee cooked all the time!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  49. Maja do not fret! We are the Papaya sisters. Separated at birth but reunited thru CDaN.

Embace your inner fruity drink and come out as the Papaya sister you know you are!!!

    ReplyDelete
  50. It's all fun and games in Mayberry until you have to eat a bunch of pickles or spaghetti. Or the Darlings come and you have to listen to that damn "Dooley" song.

    ReplyDelete
  51. LMAO @ djphob! Imagine if that would be all the problems you had to deal with!!

    ReplyDelete
  52. Cheers to you Maja and billybob!

    ReplyDelete
  53. 'Mary Tyler Moore'. I'd go to Mary's crappy parties and slut/pal around with Sue Ann, trade gossip with Phyllis and raid Rhoda's wardrobe. I'd also have a sleezy affair with Lou.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Oh - and help convince Murray to come out of the closet.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Kate and Allie. Mad crush on Susan St. James.

    ReplyDelete
  56. MST3K! Only Joel, not Mike (high fives Vicki). Except there's the whole 'stuck in space' thing. And the mads.

I would NOT want to be in The Office or The IT Crowd, because it would be too much like real life. :-D

Will & Grace would be great. Would love to sit around and be catty with Beverly Leslie.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Ignoring the sitcom restriction, one of Ernie Kovacs' shows or the original Ren & Stimpy. Because I'm the kinda guy who enjoys his acid flashbacks.

Of course, any straight guy is gonna answer Three's Company. It would be Baywatch except that, technically, it's not a sitcom.

    ReplyDelete
  58. I'm with Maja on SOA. But since I'm wishing maybe Lost so I could have my way with Sawyer.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Magnum PI, I know it is not a comedy, but love it

I Love Lucy, because it's I Love Lucy

    Lost-Sawyer said some funny stuff!

    ReplyDelete
  60. Rhoda......I even liked that crazy Carlton the doorman!

    ReplyDelete
  61. favorite show would have to be the carol burnette show...i would love to have tried to not laugh along with the rest of 'em. i don't think it was a sitcom though. more of a weekly variety show.

    ReplyDelete
  62. maybe sitcom, friends...? just because of the guest stars. i would have to murder ross though. or plot with phoebe to put him in a rehab facility for 'exhaustion' i would easily be a female alt for gunter

    ReplyDelete
  63. Would The Jetson's count as a sitcom?? Because that would be my choice.

    If not, Different Strokes.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Are You Being Served?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Holy shit I loved that show!! Along with Dr Who I used to watch that channel all day.

The Addams Family - oh Gomez!

Twin Peaks - ill take a cup of Joe and a young Agent Cooper.. Or Bobby for that matter..on a long investigation..

Punky Brewster - I always wanted her wardrobe when I was a kids

    ReplyDelete
  66. I'd go for the ideal, simple life...Ozzie and Harriet and hang out with Ricky, go to all the dances
and swoon with all the other girls.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Happy Endings. I love that kooky crew and I love Chicago

    ReplyDelete
  68. Anonymous1:20 PM

Oh !! And The Osbournes .. That would be too much fun

    ReplyDelete
  69. I Love Lucy or Seinfeld. Although MST3K would be awesome!

    ReplyDelete
  70. Friends - I could be Chandler. Or Sports Night - I could do the walk and talk every day and everything I say will be much wittier and intelligent then anything I ever say in real life.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Saved by the Bell or Full House!

    ReplyDelete
  72. Ally McBeal though Wikipedia says it is : "legal dramedy". I used to copy her facial expressions in my early university years and my friends used to say I look like her. I would never let RDJ go.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Well if it wasn't a sitcom choice only I would obviously pick NCIS. 100x over. BUT since Enty said sitcom I will go with Big Bang Theory or 2 guys a girl and a pizza place. Hanging out with ryan reynolds AND nathan fillion?? Oh yeah baby!

    ReplyDelete
  74. I'd love to be Lisa on Newsradio, though I wouldn't break up with Dave. Or put me in Friends -- a large NY apartment, easy work, and good coffee.

    ReplyDelete
  75. I guess I would have to say I Dream of Jeanie, since Barbara Eden was my first crush. Either that or Married with Children.

    ReplyDelete
  76. @seachica NewsRadio, good call! I'd want to be Beth. And I'd be totally doing Joe. RAWR!

    ReplyDelete
  77. Friends, it still makes me smile and rent control, hello!

Good UK snarky sitcoms now on US Netflix streaming are Peep Show and The Inbetweeners. Check them out.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Oh, trust me.

My inner fruity drink is thoroughly embraced.

    ReplyDelete
  79. The Cosby Show or the Facts of Life. I'll take Cliff & Claire or Mrs Garrett as my parents/guardians any day.

Dallas or Dynasty. Glamour, shoulder pads, money, wearing ball gowns for dinner, and of course, JR or Alexis Carrington Colby Dexter. HELLO!

    ReplyDelete
  80. I Love Lucy...yay!

    ReplyDelete
  81. "I'd love to be Lisa on Newsradio, though I wouldn't break up with Dave. Or put me in Friends -- a large NY apartment, easy work, and good coffee."

Great calls on both. I'd go on "Friends" and come between Chandler and Monica. Or, like Seachica, I'd be Lisa and stay with Dave. LOVE me some Foley!

Or maybe AbFab. Stay drunk in London with Patsy and Eddy all day.

    ReplyDelete
  82. How could I have forgotten Seinfeld. For the longest time I joked that Kramer was my long lost father. Not bc we look anything alike, but bc of the extreme goofiness and falling down humor. I just fall down a lot. Balance issues.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Phineas and Ferb.

    Don't judge.

    ReplyDelete
  84. I think I would enjoy hanging with Mary and Rhoda, or maybe That Girl, Marlo. Not, Who's That Girl, but she could be fun too.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Anonymous4:43 PM

Modern family....I want to b near Cam. Sex and the city....They just had so much fun.

    ReplyDelete
  86. If I were on MST3K it would be with Joel, not Mike.

I actually lived The Office. I had a boss who was JUST LIKE Michael Scott, but not good looking. It was not fun.

I'm with TV Junkie: Friends or The Big Bang Theory.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Community! Greendale is where I belong!

    ReplyDelete
  88. Frasier. Exec producer Joe Keenan was a friend of mine in college, and he is one of the world's kindest and wittiest gentlemen. And his character shone through in every episode.

    ReplyDelete
  89. After deep reflection, I'm sticking with my 10:08 AM choice.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Vicki! Loved your answer-MST3K! As long as I'm in between Crow and Tom Servo. Does anyone else love the BBC's "Outnumbered"?

    ReplyDelete
  91. Downton Abby..and Sex in The City, I would have an affair with Ayden, steal Mr. Big from Carrie, and hang out with Samantha..or blackmail Patty from Damages..I would release my repressed bitch.

    ReplyDelete
  92. This comment has been removed by the author.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Family Ties! I loved Michael J. Fox. I also loved the Cosby show.

    ReplyDelete
  94. Gidget, Leave it to Beaver or Andy Griffith. I like the idea of simpler times and I always felt I should have been born in that era.

    ReplyDelete
  95. The Dick Van Dyke Show.

Except I want to live in the apartment that Bob Newhart and Suzanne Pleshette had.

And I would listen to WKRP in Cincinnati.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Agent I hear you. Maybe we could get Dexter Morgan involved too.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Gilligan's Island. I want to sleep in the hammock and drive the coconut car. I want to play dress-up and makeover with Ginger & MaryAnn, talk world events with the Howell's and then sneak off to make-out with the professor (since obviously no one shags). Then at the end I'll run real fast on top of the water in that accelerated zig-zag way to make my escape leaving them all crestfallen and ready to take on next week's episode w/out me.

    ReplyDelete
  98. I also really wanted to go visit the Tweedlebugs on Sesame St. when I was a kid. I mean reallllllly bad. Like, so bad I can still feel the ache for it. Wow - remember what it was like to be so young you could transport yourself right there into the story? :D. Next stop: crime fighting with Wonder Woman!

    ReplyDelete
  99. Late to the party, but, Zoe, Duncan, Jack and Jane.

    ReplyDelete
  100. I would be in Full House as Uncle Jesse's mistress.

    ReplyDelete
  101. Anonymous5:11 AM

If it were any tv show, not just sitcom, I'd say "Firefly". But in keeping with the theme, I can't believe no one's mentioned "How I Met Your Mother". I guess that would be my choice.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Anonymous6:03 AM

    Silver spoons comes to mind.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Anonymous6:04 AM

    Silver spoons comes to mind.

    ReplyDelete
  104. Modern Family or BBT because of the Cali locations.

Not a sitcom, but I would love to be in CSI: Miami or Miami Vice, just not as a victim!

    ReplyDelete
  105. The Waltons. They ate good and had an indoor toilet. Or The X-Files, because that would be a good time.

    ReplyDelete
  106. "Modern Family."

    ReplyDelete
  107. Seinfeld. Hands down!

    ReplyDelete
  108. Friends, Seinfeld, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and Sex & The City. And I've always thought it would be cool to guest on Family Guy. Or the Simpsons.
