Robert Pattinson Hanging Out At Reese Witherspoon's Place

That whole Water For Elephants or Juice For Giraffes or whatever that movie was called that Robert Pattinson and Reese Witherspoon made might not have done that well at the box office, but apparently the two of them hit it off enough that Reese gave him her actual phone number and not the number she gives when people follow her down the street begging her for it before they are shoved to the ground by a security guard for trying to get a lock of Reese's hair with the scissors you keep for just such a purpose. Saw it happen once. Ohhhh, you thought it was me. No. I'm not saying it has not happened with others, but I am more of a hair plucker than a scissor person. They can be tough to get through metal detectors.

Oh, where was I? OK, so anyway, Rob and Reese must be besties now because she is letting him use her ranch. All he had to do was act out Twilight for her daughter's birthday and he can stay there rent free. Pretty good deal. Oh, and give up his Hogwarts robe to her son. The only other actual news about Rob is that he canceled some press he was supposed to do for Cosmopolis which is actually a decent flick and could use some press, although I think they should just change the name to Cosmo or Cosmopolitan because that is what everyone wants to call it. I think when October and November comes around and there is the whole Twilight press tour, that things will be really fun. And by fun, I mean awkward.

  1. I guess this will be the story of the summer.

  2. Just clicked on the link (thanks, Enty) and saw more "tryst" pics than I'd previously seen. And I continue to stand by my statement that those pics were planned and staged. She's practically looking at the camera, and certainly doesn't look lost in the moment in any of them!

  3. @Frufra - My speculation that it was self-sabotage, whether it was subconscious or not. She's essentially flushed all the fame she got from "Twilight" down the crapper. And if her relationship with Pattinson was for real, well, that is sad. I guess some people don't realize what they've got until they lose it.

I have a kid her age. They can be a bit arrogant and too sure of themselves. It's only when you put a few more years under your belt that you realize how foolish you were at that age.

  4. I thought Pattinson and Reese hated each other.

  5. I actually really liked Water For Elephants. Reese was too old for the character in the book, but it was a good movie.

  6. Is that movie any good? I loved the book but felt the main parts were horribly miscasted (judging from the trailers), except the elephant!

  7. @MadLyb - great theory, and so true about putting years under your belt before you realize how foolish you've been.

What I'd like to know is, how old do I have to get before I stop looking back and feeling foolish in one way or another? This "with age comes wisdom" bit is sure a gradual process! Truly though, aging is a gift in itself.

  8. Any Twihards on here? What are all of them saying about all this? Is Kristen getting death threats yet?

  9. I think this was their press tour.

  10. Awkward for them but fun for us

  11. I still don't believe Rob & Kristin were a real couple. However considering much money is riding on the last Twilight film you'd think she would have used better judgement.
Also I can't see her ever reaching this amount of career success going forward.

  12. I think the whole thing is a publicity stunt to get the Twihards even more worked up than usual for the last "Twilight" movie. Also, Kristen's PR people probably wanted to sex-up her image in order to move her into more adult and 'serious" roles. Let's face it, the girl has zero sex appeal either straight or lesbian. This whole thing screams "Look at me getting my sex on!! And with a man!!"

  13. I cant believe someone would do something as stupid as that as a publicity stunt but, as I was looking at the pictures and reading the articles, I couldn't help but feel like it was all fake.

  14. Beth, I agree, I thought I read that they didn't get along on set AT ALL.

  15. I feel like her apology should have included something directed to his wife. I mean, they worked together on the film. I guess it's too late for her to show any respect though. I was surprised about it because I think of KS as asexual. Like having Barbie ladyparts. I never believed the relationship with RP. I thought the public cheating scandal would be on his behalf when he finally got caught getting some.

  16. This whole debacle has made me not feel anything other then the man should have kept it to himself! He has a wife a children!

And Kristin is nasty in my eyes for doing that shit so publicly. Shame on you girl. You could have a ton of hot French or italian or whatever men doing anything you want. But you decide to act on foolish girl impulses of infatuation and in front of the world no less, after you worked with his wife closely and! After you made me kind of like you for just a split second! Never again. Never again...

  17. So....am I the only one wondering why it seems like all of Enty's posts are taken directly from the UK Daily Mail website?

  18. I dont think they actually filmed any scenes together, not that it matters.

I am interested to see what happens with the Twilight
    promo too.

If she wanted to increase her sex appeal, couldn't she just make out with Rpatz in public?

  21. They've worked together more than once. She played his mother in "Vanity Fair".

  22. Thus concludes tonight's report by The Bearding Chronicles. Stay tuned for tomorrow evening, when we'll be reading about how Jake Gyllenhaal challenges RPatz to a manly dance-off for Reese's affections, as Kristen Stewart gets busted with her new man in a passionate embrace exactly zero times.

  23. Water For Elephants was not bad for a film adaptation. The theater cheered at the end (ok, ok, they were cheering for Rosie, more likely). ;)

Seems like I had read that they hadn't hit it off, but what I'm wondering is, since Rob/Kristen's relationship was for publicity, why does he need to hide out?
