I know Nicole Eggert has been overweight for a while. Does she have a condition where she has to take hormones or something, because I've seen her work out and her body has changed so much since she was younger. Maybe she has pcos or something. I wish her the best of lucky. She's a really beautiful girl.

I feel bad for Nicole Eggert. I can see how it would happen because, like her, I starved myself to be thin and did a whole bunch of yo-yo diets. It WILL catch up and then some. The fact that she is exercising so much further makes me believe she wants to do this, do it right and keep it off because (like me), she knows that there are no shortcuts. Good luck, Nicole!

PCOS is possible for Nicole Eggert, but the symptoms, if that's what is causing her weight gain, would have likely been noticeabale early in her career when she oft in swimwear as it is typically emergent late teens/early 20's. If so, she must've done everything in power to maintain the physique had then.

I want short hair. I have a big melon, so I don't know that I pull it off well. I may not care, though, and I may do it anyway. Personally, I think the Miley cut is adorbs.
If Nicole had PCOS, wouldn't it have been hard for her to get preggers? And, as someone else mentioned, we would have seen it on her sooner, like in her early 20s. I think it's just baby weight and she's, you know, over 40. It's just hard. *shrug*

ReplyDeleteAs for Nicole- I know a mom right now that is on some stupid fad diet where she lost 40 lbs- by starving herself on 800 calories a day and taking a bunch of drops. She cycles on and off it every month and has to gain 5 lbs of gluttony before she starts her next round. When I pointed out the long term impact she really got offended.
I suppose my long winded rant is just to stop yoyo dieting and starving ladies. It will catch up eventually and be a bitch to deal with later in life.
I believe this is the HCG diet. It freaks me out.
DeleteI did the HCG diet. One round. It changed my life. I lost 30 lbs in a little over 30 days. Lost 20 more (& have kept it of for nearly 2years) by following what I learned in that 30 days. I was insanely addicted to sugar & I never realized how much sugar is hidden in other foods. The diet was a cleanse for me & I used it as a jump start for an entire lifestyle change. I dont deprive myself & I dont consider the way I eat a diet. Running or yoga at least twice a week. Most importantly, my yoyo days are OVER!

It is literally a gimmick--anyone who cuts their cals down to 500 per day is going to lose weight quickly (*for a while*); it has absolutely nothing to do with the injection of the HCG (aka pregnancy) hormone. That is how fad diets work--they make you think you are doing something different and new from everyone else who struggles to lose weight, but really, they are just disguising the calorie cut/low carb/exercise with some shiny object. Another example: Sensa. Bullcrap.

ReplyDeleteAbout Nicole and PCOS...I am 35 and was diagnosed with PCOS just last year. My symptoms did not occur until then, so it is possible that she has that. I've worked out, ate a clean diet of veggies and lean protein since March and have only lost like 8 pounds, only to regain 2 or 3 pounds every week. It's been a roller coaster. Trying to have a baby, which would be my first, is not easy. It is a constant struggle. But I am trying to keep the faith.
