I don't know how I did not realize this before. I knew that Noomi Rapace and Rachel McAdams made a movie together, but I don't remember hearing about a scene where Rachel is blindfolded and having sex with Noomi. How did something like this escape my attention? Does Noomi actually smile for once in a movie because I'm really convinced she has no teeth because she never smiles. Noomi is wearing some white mask that makes her look like the sister of the character from Scream. The movie is going to premiere next month at the Toronto International Film Festival.

ReplyDeleteIf you've seen Noomi's teeth, you understand why she doesn't smile. I'm hoping she's done something about it by now - it's one thing to be yourself, but dang, you're in the movies! Whitening toothpaste is your friend!

ReplyDeleteI had heard about it, but was surprised in the trailer that McAdams is the boss and Rapace the subordinate. Even though she's a year younger, Noomi always struck me as older than Rachel.
ReplyDeletethis is a remake of a french moved called 'love crime'. kristen scott thomas was in the rachel mcadams role. I streamed it on netflix. not very good. manipulative women hating on each other, with some lesbian sex thrown in, which is a good fit for brian depalma.

I think that Noomi has a dead affect, which made her perfect for Lisbeth, but not so great in other roles. I couldn't stand her in the latest Sherlock Holmes movie.

I thought she was great in Prometheus. I have a hard time seeing her as Lisbeth though.
I had the impression that most of the time it was Rachel's playmates who ended wearing the blindfold and screaming.

ReplyDeleteFrom the headline, I thought the whole trailer would be a sex scene. There is, in fsct, just a glimpse of a thigh and a moan. Either way, I probably won't see this movie *L*. I like Noomi Rapace as Lisbeth Salander, but everything else I've seen her in has been kind of 'meh'.
