Lance Everett Wyatt, a doctor who has been on 20/20 and The Doctors and is a very well known plastic surgeon has been arrested for filming his patients naked without their consent. They would get undressed and his camera would start rolling. He faces six counts of unlawful filming and two counts of sexual battery. Dr. Wyatt faces up to two years in prison. He was named one of Ebony's 50 leaders of tomorrow. Sounds like he might be leading from jail and without a doctor's license.
I am amazed at both the arrogance and stupidity of these over educated assholes ....

Those last couple of sentences sounds like you are throwing shade on Ebony for his wrong doing. As if they should have known he was a sleeze. Sonetimes I wonder about the tone you use when talking about African Americans. Or is it just me?

I read the sentence about Ebony magazine as showing how well respected the doctor was -- a national media outlet had selected him for recognition. Goes to emphasize how puzzling it is when someone who has achieved so much can jeopardize it so senselessly.

@SusanB: Because what gets these people off isn't just the porn itself; it's the whole idea of being able to get the images non-consensually, of being able to put one over on someone else and get control over them. They don't want someone who'll take their clothes off voluntarily, because being able to force someone to "pose" for them is what gets them hard. To be blunt about it, it's rape with a camera instead of a dick, a great big power trip being acted out in a sexual context.

There are a few who come here speaking "antebellumese"; however, I've seen some of the regulars rip them a new one & send them back to lainey gossip/tmz with their tails between their legs.

BTW- this situation with the doctor really saddens me. Even though this taping practice is widespread among the medical community & been happening for years, this brother should have known better. To whom much is given, much is expected...he got caught up thinking he could do the same as other colleagues not realizing he did not have "the complexion for the protection". Thus, his new job has just become bending over for the next two years....ba dum bum...there is your prison rape joke.

ReplyDeleteUhhh, this is not a black/African American 'thing'. It's a 'doctor/MD' thing. Back in the '90s i had sinus surgery [in a large but unnamed city (here)], and my doctor told me during the post-op visit that i'd reminded him of someone else the whole time he'd seen me.

Apparently under anesthesia and on the operating room table i look just like Streisand but with a 'cute' nose and a beautiful mouth.
CREEPED me out about 100,000 miles esp. since i've been told since i was 18 that i look like BS except for a cute nose and beautiful mouth.
I'm not going into further details, but i think that some MDs may be among the most twisted segments of our society.
They are care givers [check out that category for a propensity for abusers/molesters], are highly educated and high earners [check out that for the ability to avoid prosecution].
Oh, sorry, forgot to mention the most important part. He only realized the resemblance AFTER he viewed the film of my surgery.
