Brangelina Weekly Marriage Announcement
A few weeks ago I heard that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were getting married in New Orleans. I don't think it happened. It might have. I mean Billy Bob Thornton could have flown in and performed the ceremony and then claimed some weird privilege where the person who marries the couple has sex with the bride first. I think that was in Braveheart wasn't it? Anyway, they could have done it all under the radar, but doubtful. Anyway, there is some huge party being planned at their French place. It could be the kids have planned some kind of house party, but the French media think it is a wedding. I'm not sure I really care at this point except for thinking of other bizarre people who could marry the couple.
Who cares......
ReplyDeleteSupposedly the party is for his parents.
ReplyDeleteThose two are so 'ross and rachel' just get married already and stop making us wait 10 years
ReplyDeleteThe same writer that spun the xfiles saga this week is also the same writer that is writing this. I use the word writer, loosely.Very loosely.
ReplyDeleteIt's the fragmented sentences. I'm wondering if the writing and tween blinds are trying to attract younger readers?
DeleteThis is far, far OT, but:
ReplyDeleteHas anyone else found Drew Peterson's defense team to be the most smug, nasty people?
Their smirks and smart-ass remarks are just very off-putting. IMO it's not doing their client ANY good in the public eye, which makes me wonder how they're coming across to the jury?
If Drew Peterson truly had nothing to do with either the dead third wife or the STILL MISSING fourth wife...I'll eat this keyboard.
It should be no surprise that douchbags attact other douche bags. Its actually good to have them all in one place so they cant bither others. This guy is sub human, and i hope he gets put away forever.
ReplyDeleteBother
DeleteAuntliddy - I read that too fast and thought you said "can't bite others".
DeleteSelena - That man is evil. I feel really bad for his kids. I think he's guilty, but not sure they'll be able to prove it in court.
They couldn't get married here without people running their mouths about it.
ReplyDeleteIt would make sense that they marry in France as a shout out to her mom. I would like to see Michael Lohan marry them. He's an ordained minister. If he married them, it would finally give him something interesting to talk about.
I like brad and angue, but get martied, dont get married, idhaf. Does anyone?
ReplyDeleteAngie! One if my pistons not firing today, lol
Deletesomewhere bitter tears are falling onto Justins skinny jeans
ReplyDeleteI love how they say that they are private people but every now and then some convienient gossip about then surfaces... go away already. You have 6 kids go take care of them
ReplyDeleteI am beyond caring at this point.
ReplyDeleteI nominate Jen to do the ceremony.
ReplyDeleteIt'll keep the tabloids publishing for at least another century.
I don't care about this either, so I'm just gonna post a link to an awesome letter that D.L. Hughley wrote about Chick-Fil-A:
ReplyDeletehttp://www.huffingtonpost.com/dl-hugley/dl-hughley-chick-fil-a_b_1760240.html?utm_hp_ref=black-voices
I had no idea he was so deep.
I hope he DOESN'T marry her. Something isn't right about her.
ReplyDeleteI hope they get married with the kids in pretty little outfits. Afterwards the adults guzzle champagne and do the chicken dance while the kids have a food fight with the wedding cake and everybody is happy. La la la.
ReplyDeleteLOL Califblondy. I say let them get married. At this point , there have been so many rumors I am numb to it. I think their kids are cute and they (while being way out there) seem to be a fairly happy family in the little odd world they've created. Personally I'm just not caring that much. EVERYONE BE HAPPY!
ReplyDeleteIs this how Brangelina's PR keep them relevant, by "leaking" news that they're getting married, not getting married, maybe getting married? And does anyone even care anymore?
ReplyDelete@selenakyle - I agree - I saw a couple of them interviewed earlier this week and they seem to be a new low in defense attorneys. Just made me cringe.
ReplyDeleteugh, I hope they don't, I dont think I can handle seeing pics and articles EVERYWHERE on their stupid ass wedding. Candid shots of Angelina looking so demure and helping children! barf
ReplyDeleteIm one of their few supporters left and I dont care. I am also a huge gay rights supporter and the whole chik fil my ass is getting dull. Drew Peterson is more smug than that Smith kid. How is that possible?
ReplyDelete@Molls, I think if this is Angue (@AuntLiddy, I'm keeping that, it seems to fit her better) trying to stay relevant, she missed her window by about 3 years. As an actress she's not all that, he's not as popular as he once was, and mostly everyone is used to, and bored by, their "aren't we great taking a stand on gay marriage" shenanigans. Do it, don't do it, nothing much will change and the tabloids will move onto someone else tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteSnooze. There is nothing this couple wants more than to stay ON the radar, so there will be nothing secret about it if they ever do get married. I'm sure People mag will have all the info & pics.
ReplyDeleteMaybe if he showered, shaved and cut his hair they could pay people to pretend to give a rat's ass. Their bogus avant- grade act has expired.
ReplyDeleteThey never said anything - it's a rumor because the French town has seen party set up but it's for his parent's weeding anniversary, sheesh. Nothing to do with their PR at all.
ReplyDeleteAs for Peterson, if he gets off it's a travesty of the justice system. I haven't been following this trial, the whole things makes me sick.
don't you think they'd only get married in some tiny, off the radar, 3rd world country? then buy that country a hospital and adopt a kid (or 2). a french country side wedding is way to dreamy for them.
ReplyDeletei just don't care.
ReplyDeleteMaybe they're partying before they too defect from the country, as I hear that's what all the wealthy are doing now, as the new pres set up an additional 7% tax increase (I think, something like that) for the country's rich.
ReplyDeleteOmama- Hi1
ReplyDeleteIt's a 75% increase.
President François Hollande's call to raise the tax rate on France's wealthiest citizens to 75 percent

OMAMA,This is the shortest answer I can give you.
ReplyDeleteThe Bush tax cuts were supposed to be temporary, as a result of the budget surplus left by Clinton. Bush cut taxes, then started two wars and Medicare Part D. Huge budget deficit. During this period, banks were gambling away on the markets, and creashed the economy. The resulting crash of economic GROWTH only made the deficit bigger, and until GROWTH and/or REVENUES increase, we will have problems closing that deficit or paying down the debt.
The tax rate for the top 2% in this country is currently 35% (but most of them have all kinds of crazy deductions, like Romney declaring a dressage horse as a 'business' to get a $77,000 deduction in 2010, almost no one actually pays a full 35% rate. And investment income is taxed MUCH lower than labor income, That's how Romney payed a 13.9% rate on $20 million in income in 2010. By comparison, a single person making only around $35,000 at a JOB pays a 15% rate, without so many nutty deductions too),
and the President and the Democrats have proposed EXTENDING the Bush tax cuts for the lower 98% (because poor people actually SPEND their extra 50$ or so per month, and that spending by hundreds of millions really boosts whole economies-state/local/federal).
For the top 2% ONLY, the President wishes for the top rate to go back the Clinton-era rate--39%. So that's a 4% increase at the very top. The President wants this, but Congress has to vote on such things to make them happen. And Congress only votes on new ways to restrict women's health these days, and 33 votes to repeal 'Obamacare' before people start realizing they like it.
The TWO people I heard who left the country for tax reasons, did so just before cashing in something worth tens of millions. Not very patriotic IMO to just up and leave after our great American system & infrastructure helped make them so rich.
Thanks Libby
DeleteI like the way you think and I agree 100% but I think Omama was referring to the president of France
DeleteUgh. I fucking over them and everyone in this triangle. Get married for crying out loud no one cares...Its been like two thousand years.
ReplyDeletesorry....and thank you. My eye must have stopped at the 7
ReplyDelete//it happens
I ONLY use Romney as the rich guy tax example--because I personally only know 1 person in the 2% (a multi-millionaire). I've never seen my friend's taxes, but we've all seen Romney's.
ReplyDeleteYes, I'm a big D, but I'm just trying to explain a comment that was way-out as far as the numbers. I'm not trying to have an argument about tax fairness OR economic theory.
You know I love you ALL. Please don't get mad, anyone. I encourage anyone to read up on the dry facts and look at their own taxes to see how much you pay.
If tax cuts at the top created jobs, we'd be swimming in jobs by now. But they keep telling us to wait. Someday, someday, someday....Trickle-down hasn't worked.
I won't be back today, because I really can't take an argument with anyone right now. I'm sorry, I know it's unfair not to discuss. But I am just feeling a bit down and need not to even KNOW who I pissed off with my thoughts on tax fairness for the most of us 'little people.' If I made anyone mad, please ignore me at any time, at your leisure.
Thanks for your understanding. Those who post here often know what I mean about not wanting the stress of arguing all day.
@libby-there's no hate.
ReplyDeleteI hope you didn't get that from me.
I am thankful to you and agent **it for saying what you did. Because I wasn't joking, sometimes I just breeze over things. It's a bad trait and sadly, I don't know if it will change.
//sorry. major case of sads today. I'm a mom to teenagers, what can I say.
Enjoy your day and weekend. Solid D or solid I (me), no need to argue....freedom of choice and thought baby, all the way.
Bless :)
Libby, Youre my hero!
ReplyDeleteJesus Christ all I did was give the factual info re the 75% tax hike being proposed in France for the wealthy. Thought your joke was funny, Omama. Calm down Libby, nobody is arguing with you, except you.
ReplyDeleteHere it is :
President François Hollande's call to raise the tax rate on France's wealthiest citizens to 75 percent.
Here is the article from NY Times:
Indigestion for ‘les Riches’ in a Plan for Higher Taxes
http://www.nytimes.com/2012/08/08/business/global/frances-les-riches-vow-to-leave-if-75-tax-rate-is-passed.html?pagewanted=all
Libby and Omama - sorry for the sads. Here's a big hug for you both! I was so grumpy when I woke up and all the ladies cheered me up. So here's a little love back! :D
ReplyDeleteHey! (in ref to this France thing) I'm just hopeful my old hs friend who would certainly be one to have to exile from France with the tax hike, may come here and look me up (forgiving me for turning him away when I was a kid too).
ReplyDeleteOmama can dream (and I guess even in my sads, I'm still and always the hopeful optimist)
Bless you all
@agent **it! _no one EVER get's my jokes. You've won gold in my heart :)
@dia papaya - I woke up too like that, well....I was having an incredible dream, so real, and odd, so I was feeling good in the chest but as soon as my eyes opened, my realization that I had to face my kids, I was like UGH, (it's a LOL for anyone with teens, but it's so flippin true).
ReplyDeleteBUT - I do love getting all chatty here. You CDAN commenter's are the best.
grandchildren are God's reward for not killing your children..hang in there. It does get better, I promise.
ReplyDeleteAs for Jolie/Pitt, I don't care. I'd rather know the whole scoop on Mulder and Scully.
@Agent**It thanks for the Chick fil A article. What a strange name for a food place. I keep getting visions of girls going into a shop and getting fitted for those chicken fillet silicone bra inserts, conveyor belt style.
ReplyDelete@astrogirl, Love your imagery!
ReplyDeleteWhat did I miss? Is same sex marriage legal now??
ReplyDeleteI like them but don't really care, if they do good luck
ReplyDeletehey - I'm not THAT old.
ReplyDeleteI would be surprised if they got married. I think if they did, ultimately it would be the end of them, kids or no kids. Don't know why, but I see her getting back with Billy Bob in the near future.
ReplyDeleteThese two ain't never getting married. I believe Gillian Anderson and David D will come out admit their twenty year liaison and various children before these two get married.
ReplyDeleteBrad + Angie= Who gives a flying frog about these two.
ReplyDeletePrima Notte- was the right of a feudal lord right to wedding night of a marrying bride. Not the person marrying them or it would have made for happier priests. ;)
@ardleighstreet -- re Prima Notte - ewwwww!!! I had never heard of this until now. The poor couple.
