A Dog Saved Her Puppies From House Fire
A dog in Chile managed to carry each one of her 10 day old puppies out by her mouth to a fire truck after the house in which she was living caught on fire. The reason? Someone set off a car bomb in front of it. People are talking about the dog doing what she did and it's amazing. I'm also wondering why car bombs are going off in a Chilean suburb in front of the dog's house and if there is a possibility this could happen again. All of the dogs she carried out managed to live, with the exception of one which died of severe burns.
Moms seem to be protective of their young no matter the species. Dogs are the best.
ReplyDeleteSad that one of the little pups died. :(
ReplyDeleteMaternal instinct. Still prevalent and responsible for the survival of most species.
ReplyDeleteLoving the pics of her shielding her babies.
ReplyDeleteHi billybob! I'm waving across the Atlantic :-)!
ReplyDeleteHow's the project going? I'm hung up on rugs right now. Made one for my boys' bathroom, and currently making one for my kitchen. First one latch hook, second one locker hook. Have a wonderful Sunday!
OMG, she looks just like my first dog....she's a great mom.
ReplyDeleteAww. So sweet. THanks for posting it, Enty.
ReplyDeleteThat is amazing! Lets you know that no matter the spieces mother instinct kicks in all across the board.
ReplyDeletePuppies! That momma dog could teach us all a few things. So sweet! Thanks Enty.
ReplyDelete*sniff* it got kind of dusty in here! Great story.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Mamas are so amazing!
ReplyDeletewith our world full of mothers who abuse and kill their babies ... this is one of the best stories i've ever read. dogs are amazing and this one just proves (again) that dogs have feelings and emotions. wonderful. rip to the little one who didn't make it. have fun on the rainbow bridge, puppy.
ReplyDeleteHi Frufra! Awwwwwwww hugs at ya....I’ve been glued to the TV, enjoying the Olympics. Haven’t worked on the cross stitch for a few days. My nephew came home last night. Should see him in a couple of days.....will post the pics then! You will love it! xx
ReplyDeleteOk, not a dog person but this story has me tearing up. Probably doesn't help that I'm reading this while feeding my 14- week old. Such a smart momma dog!!

ReplyDeleteThe reason I'm a dog person, they have more sense than most people.
ReplyDeleteGood for her and her pups, RIP little one, and yes, have fun on the rainbow bridge!
Aww momma dog!
ReplyDeleteWho took those photos instead of helping the dogs out?
ReplyDeleteThis dog is clearly not a good mother. She's living in a dangerous neighborhood and WHERE is the Father?? She shouldn't have so many puppies if she can't safe living conditions. What a bitch.
ReplyDeleteI heard shes on welfare too. Kidding!!!!! That dog is amazing!!!!
ReplyDeleteWho said animals don't think and feel, she's a better mother than some humans.
ReplyDeleteIncidentally I´ve just read the baby renting by sick celebrity blind and this makes you realize once more how animals can indeed be superior to us in so so many ways. What an amazing mummy:)
ReplyDeleteI like that the story is written like the dog has its own house.
ReplyDeleteI hope some nice people give this doggie family a new home
ReplyDeleteTy Pennington, if you're reading this, it's time for an Extreme Makeover Canine Special!
DeleteI love dogs so much. This makes me cry. Why didn't the photographer help??
ReplyDeleteI love this story!!! I am such an animal person :) I start school in one week for Veterinary Medicine. I love how smart & nuturing animals are. So sad one of the babies died, but the mama did her very best. Thanks for posting this story Enty.
ReplyDelete@ djphob - hahahahahahha that's fucking awesome
ReplyDeleteNever underestimate the power of mama love y'all
Well there's a dog for ya!
ReplyDeleteLovely story..restores my faith in humanity....which I know refers to people but I think dogs should be included.
;-)
What a wonderful story of love. RIP little puppy- your mommy really loved you though and you will be missed dearly!
ReplyDeleteWTF is a car bomb doing in a Chilean suburb? Is the Shining Path back?
ReplyDeleteFrom DListed:
ReplyDelete"If you're a cat bitch, I just to ask you this: Would your cat ever do this? ("No, but my cat would stop the fire with its icy cold cunt glare." - you "Good point." - me)"
It's stories like this that make me sad I'm stuck with an asshole cat who scratched the shit out my arm today for NO reason!
OMG *sniff*
ReplyDeleteWe can learns so much from animals.
ReplyDeleteOT kinda, but...
ReplyDeleteFirefighter saving a cat (separate unrelated fire incident). Great pic.

This dog has more maternal instincts than some human mothers I've heard about lately. Humans are able to quash their parental instincts but of course animals can't...what a sweetheart this doggie is.
ReplyDelete::laughs @ the quote Margeaux shared from DListed ::
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me of the story of Scarlett, the Brooklyn cat who saved her kittens from a fire (she was severely burned in the process, but lived & was adopted)

I love dogs.
ReplyDeleteThat's all.
