The 30 Year Reunion
Back in 1982, five teens from Santa Barbara graduated from high school. They vowed that every five years they would get together and take the same group picture they had done that day. That they somehow managed to make it happen is amazing. That they are sharing it with the world is really cool too.
That is so cute. Love how they all gradually have shirts on.
ReplyDeleteLol!!! I was thinking the same thing haha
DeleteThat is so cool. Wish my idiot friends and I had done something like this.
ReplyDeleteLol, I JUST read this on the Daily Mail.
ReplyDeleteAwesome!
ReplyDeleteThere was also a dad who took a photo of his daughter every week, put it in video, so you could basically see her grow up, so cool!
That's really cool. I bet some of them are maybe even grandpas by now.
ReplyDeleteActually, not one of them has any children, I was surprised.
DeleteThis is a really beautiful thing; enduring friendships are not something easily kept alive.
ReplyDeleteThat's pretty neat!
ReplyDelete@J Goslyn: agreed.
ReplyDeleteThis is cool, Enty. Thanks!
FUN!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI think that is so awesome. I want to do something like that one day. Like take a picture every day of my first baby for a year. Or if I get married, a picture of me and the husband on every anniversary in the same place.
ReplyDeleteSo funny!!
ReplyDeleteReminds me of this:

If anyone knows how to insert a poppable link, please fix it.

I love the way the guy second from left drastically changes hair in each picture :D
ReplyDeletethe 2nd guy from the left looks a little rougher in each pic. he looks like the youngest in the 1st pic and the oldest in the last pic... sweet idea
ReplyDeleteWhat's the story behind the jar? :) and yup love this too I was born in 1982 :)
ReplyDeleteThat is awesome
ReplyDeleteThey had caught a cockroach in the first picture and they thought it would be funny to have a jar and hat in each picture.
ReplyDeleteI love it!
ReplyDeleteI've never been to a class reunion but I still get all the goss from my bf
This is the sort of thing that puts a smile on our faces. Simple, straightforward but very life-affirming. Well done, boys.
ReplyDeleteThat is sooooo great. I wish I had something like that.
ReplyDeleteSeriously Awesome!
ReplyDeleteI love stuff like this. Same pose, same placement, same guys...someone should put together a time-lapse to watch them age in 8 seconds....
ReplyDeleteThat is so cool! Love it! Is it just me or does it look like '02 and '07 might mixed up?
ReplyDeleteLike this! Nice to see what people look like when they age realistically. Rarely see that in any media.
ReplyDeleteAnyone got a source link for this?
ReplyDeletethese are great!
ReplyDeleteWow, they've all held up remarkably well!
ReplyDeleteThat is great! Love it!
ReplyDeleteThis was a great idea for them. And awesome they actually went through with it rather then just saying they would do it.
ReplyDeleteVery cool. Just as impressive is that the for the last 15 years the guy on the end has been wearing the same t-shirt for the photos!
ReplyDeleteI love it.
ReplyDeleteEnty, I love that you are a redditor! I thought it was just coincidence at first, but now I'm positive. If anyone else hasn't, go to reddit.com. Greatest work avoider ever.
ReplyDeleteLove this, saw it this morning on the Daily Mail site also, and loving that second from the left guy who is BRINGING it with the hair-dos! I am a big fan of recreating pictures, wish I had thought to do something so cool.
ReplyDelete82' was a good year, me thinks. I also was born that year :))
ReplyDeleteAnd LOL at them gradually adding shirts to their attire after the first 10 years, hahaha.
The one holding the jar was a babe, me-ow.
I dont know what happened between 07' and 12' but boyfriend aged fast.
I see the dopey expression never left one the at the far right. uhhh
This is a great idea.
ReplyDeleteMy husband should have taken pictures. He and three friends have played their own week long *champion of the world* golf tourney twice a year for over 25 years.
I have to applaud the guy all the way tot he left who keeps up the original grimace. I'll bet they are riot when they all get together. Very cool.
ReplyDeleteTotally adorbs!
ReplyDeletedude to my right (visual right)...aged well.
ReplyDeleteAND -he has nice hands. Nice hands matter ;)
Here's the original link--I thought it was interesting that they sometimes wore their Copco Lake t shirts and sometimes some of them didn't. http://www.copcolake.com/five/default.htm
ReplyDelete@ANDY- I know the guy on the far right- his name is John Dickson...find him as THE RESTAURANT GUY on
ReplyDeletewww.santabarbara.com/dining
he is behind all of this- he has been showing the pics for yrs on this site, he does a Christmas program each year for kids with a 1-800 number- really a nice guy.
GO SANTA BARBARA!
