Taylor Armstrong Says Her Daughter Is More Joyful Since Her Dad Committed Suicide

So, in a few years when Kennedy Armstrong is searching through Google and reading about her dad, she will find this little nugget that Taylor Armstrong told The NY Post over the weekend. Taylor says that Kennedy has been more joyful since her father killed himself. You know, because suicide is a real mood lifter for a little kid. Taylor says that Kennedy was feeling Taylor's anxiety and since Taylor doesn't have anymore anxiety that Kennedy is more outgoing and open and just enjoying life more. Taylor might be happy that her ex killed himself, but I don't think it's fair to impute the same feelings to your daughter and say that she is feeling the same way and try and shape the memory she is supposed to have of her father.

  1. By Jove - is there no limit to the garbage this person will spout at any given moment just to try and stay relevant? Poor child - we might as well start now a collection for her psychiatric support - i am afraid, with a mum like this, she is going to need it bad and there will be no money left for it by the time she is a teenager.

  2. TOTALLY agree that this broad should have kept her mouth shut and not put this out there for her daughter to see some day. I was raised by a woman who had no self-censor mode either, and it completely colored my view of my dad.

Not that he's not a dick, but I shouldn't have been privy to all the gorey details. Being truthful with your kid(s) is different that just telling EVERYTHiNG - kids don't need to hear that shit!

All that being said, it looks like this kid is pretty young, and I'm inclined to believe that she is less stressed-out now. Children are extremely sensitive to their parents' stress. Just like dogs. And I mean that comparison in the most positive way :-).

  4. Totally OT - Enty, the ads for saris are really drawing me in. Will society accept a forty -something Anglo woman who suddenly starts wearing saris? They are so beautiful. I've been sick all weekend, so I'm just going to pass the time with a little online sari window shopping.

That's nice . Your dad cOmmitted suicide but you're sooooo much happier because of it. Blech. I wish her big ass mouth would swallow her head go bye bye. I have to fast forward through all her segments on the show because she's soooo fake and crazy

  8. It would be slightly comforting if any of the money Taylor is earning from exploiting his suicide was being put in a trust fund for her daughter who's part of it but no, it's all going to pay back people she scammed.

  9. I think Enty is adding a lot to this story. I'm not going to bother looking up what she actually said, because I don't care enough, but it looks like all she said was the anxiety bit and Enty ran with it.
Still though, keep that shit out of the media.

  10. Thanks, dia. Had a UTI sneak up on me big time. Went from a-ok to extremely sick in a matter of hours. Thank God for urgent care clinics and antibiotics!

(And I didn't even do anything fun to get the UTI, either :-(.)

    1. Essh! I had a UTI that turned into a kidney infection. If you get a temperature over 102 it's time for the doctors office Missy ;)

  11. Wow. Nope she seriously did say what Enty said she said (according to the NYP): "“I’ve worked closely with psychologists with her, and I’m keeping tabs on her,” Armstrong tells us. “She’s more open and joyful since his death. She’s more outgoing than she was during his lifetime.” Adding, “She was feeling my anxiety.”"

  12. @ Frufra - get raw cranberry juice & cranberry pills. I've also heard you can drink apple cider vinegar, but YUCK.

  13. She’s beyond crazy….someone should take her daughter and get her help before its too late

  14. @Amber - thanks, I have the pills. I am one pill-poppin' momma right now. Got a little tummy bloat going on as a result. And did I mention it's hotter than holy hell here?

Pity Party, table for one, please :-). At least I feel good enough today to joke around. Didn't have much of a sense of humor yesterday!

  15. Fru - I definitely empathize! UTIs are THE WORST. My friend gets them kind of chronically and she vomits, runs a fever, etc. I've never had it THAT bad, but they definitely make you feel like complete and utter shit. so, you're not being a baby :)

  16. Taylor ... my mind can't even imagine the horror that child goes through with that creature as a mother. Ironically, I would rather hear about someone's UTI! Get well, get well! Imagine life without antibiotics.

  17. Frufra, Think about adding pro biotics . I use Dr. Ohhira (on line) and found them to be very effective.Get comfie:)

  18. Thanks you guys! And Barton, I know, I know, TMI on the UTI :-). I'm totally taking advantage of this "anonymous" shtick!

I can't imagine life without antibiotics or air conditioning! We'd all be dead or at least meaner than hell.

370M INDIANS SWELTER IN HEAT AFTER POWER FAILS ... that's more than USA and Canada combined.

Major grid down. I don't even want to think about it.....

  20. @Frufra, you should totally rock a sari. I wear African beaded jewelry for no particular reason and I don't care if people think I'm a weird hippie. It's beautiful and that's it.

  21. Was her father involved in her life as a good dad should be? This woman is nutty and klassy with a k but a strongly involved positive father who suddenly takes his own life is going to devastate a child.

If he was a jerk, severly abusive with her mother then maybe at such a young age she wasn't "Daddy's little princess" as much as "mommy's little sponge" who soaked in all the negative environment. If she witnessed abuse, felt neglected it is possible her life feels more "joyful" now this presence is gone. I wonder if this is where the therapist is going with this?

She would certainly be relieved if her mothers tormentor was gone. Plenty of girls(and boys) out there who don't have a strong bond with their fathers or barely even know them.If something happens or they take their own lives, the children end up grieving what should have been rather than their Father.

  22. This child and her mother should not be on TV.

  23. Ugh. This bitch reminds me of the wife of a good friend of mine who committed suicide.

My friend shot himself in the head after finding out his wife was cheating on him. He worked like a dog to maintain a very nice lifestyle for her and their two children, which kept him on the road 4-5 days every week.

Now with his life insurance policy and SSI payments for the kids, she bought a new house big enough to qualify as a mansion in these parts and won't have to worry about money for possibly the rest of her life.

If you are wondering if this is one of those "we only have one side of the story" situations, she bought a huge custom hot tub one week after his death and moved in the boyfriend within two weeks.

  24. unbelievable. i'm from the school of thought that says not every thought needs to be voiced.

people like TA are ridic. they hide behind a 'keeping it real' excuse to spout anger, vulgarity, and things that will ultimately hurt their loved ones. no accountability, no filter, just a-holeyness and attn-mongering. #notwinning

  25. I really can't believe she said that (not that I'm doubting it...I'm just shocked at how heartless of a statement it is).

  26. Every time Taylor has had the little girl on I've thought she (the little girl) had some kind of problems. She seemed extremely disconnected from both of the parents. I've never seen her on the show that she behaved in a natural way. I've always attributed that to her having a couple of creepy parents and to being under the stress of being filmed.

Russell had children from his first wife. He was in their lives and when he killed himself--Taylor didn't even bother to contact them or their mother--she let them find out in the news.

I hope she doesn't have Kennedy on the show. She needs to let her be a little kid and not under the stress of being on TV.

  27. Please don't judge any kids relationship with their parents while on a reality show, especially when the kids are barely shown. Taylor is horrible but especially bc Kennedy was barely on, you can't say that she was disconnected. I remember one very rare scene where Russel was babysitting her and they were cute together. And maybe that's not the truth!

  28. Frufra I got myself a gorgeous sari when I was in London. It took me ages to get the courage up to wear it out but eventually I did and OMG so many compliments.

    I say go for it.

  29. g. and astro - thanks for the support, girls! Y'all are the kind of folks I like - just going for it! Maybe I will order one - parent/teacher conferences are soon, and I like to keep 'em guessing!

  30. I kind of understand what she was TRYING to say, b/c Russell was this (alleged) monster to her, but it sounded bad. Glad to hear that kid is in therapy and hope it continues for through her lifetime. She'll need it w/ that mama.

  31. here's the thing. because this childs father is dead, mommy geets to create a "daddy that was". she could create the most wondeful daddy in the world. he's not here to blow that image. she could create a loving, giving, selfless man who wished wondeul things for his daughter. there isn't any reason to make him a bad guy. even if he was a terrible husband, doesn't mean he couldn't have been a great dad. hopefully she'll stop with the comments.

  33. You missed the best part: I will say, ‘Don’t you miss daddy?’ ” Armstrong says. “And explain and remind her about positive things. I hope she’ll be proud of me.”

WTF? Taylor is a heinous disaster.
