Sylvester Stallone Hires Private Investigator

If Sylvester Stallone had spent this much time and energy on his son Sage, while he was alive, he probably would still be alive. Sly has hired a famed PI to investigate what really happened to Sage and how Sage died. This is kind of like the estranged parent doing the real killer thing that OJ and Casey Anthony have done. It is nothing but a way to assuage your guilt. How about that word huh? And in the last post I think I used a semi colon. That whole grammar a day calendar thing is starting to pay off. What is the point of hiring a PI? You know why? Sly wants you to think he really does care. He knows it is also is good for a few more days of publicity. Don't forget that Sly has a movie coming out. This will give him something to talk about. Not just that his son died, but that he is doing everything he can. That he is on a crusade. That he loved his son. So, it will keep journalists from asking the estranged questions and he can focus on all the things he is doing for his son after death. Those are the key words. After death.

  1. So disappointed that Enty would compare Sylvester Stallone's relationship with his ADULT son to Casey Anthony killing her daughter.

  2. It might be better if he donated the money to help people get the rehabilitation they desparately need to leave their addictions.

  3. Wow, kind of harsh there. It's just sad, but maybe he knows he sucked as a father and is looking for some kind of redemption.

  4. Sly's a busy man. So many hotel rooms to soil, so little time.

    ReplyDelete
  5. @Cathy I agree, that part kindve threw me off. Some parents become estranged from their kids, I dont think they should be compared to that monster.

  6. Wow Enty- did I miss something? Do we even know how his son died?

  7. You know, it seems to me that YEARS ago, when Sage was about 5 or so, I read somewhere that he was either autistic or mentally disabled or something - maybe in Kneepads? About how Sly was trying to help him. Could he have had some form of autism and Sly gave up? Or did I imagine the whole thing?

    1. SusanBAnthony-i remember the EXACT same thing--that Sage was autistic I believe but the spectrum now is so much more narrow hopefully he received the help he needed as it sounds like he came into his own. May he rest in peace.

    2. You're thinking of Sage's younger brother Seargeoh. Sly did an autism PSA in the 80s.

  8. It's always too late. Sad. I hope that kid is in peace.

Parents. Ya just can't raise'em. Sad

  9. Really Enty!? I didn't even read the rest of the caption - the first line was disgusting enough.

  10. An adult child should be able to understand a parent, especially Stallone had a busy life. He was entering middle age, it's probably an accident if drugs were involved because of extensive dental work.

As an aside, Presumed Guilty is an amazingly good read, it explains what happened in the Anthony case and it quite sad but a great read. Baez had everything going against him, a bad investigation that was botched, lying prosecutors who would not enter into evidence phone records which would have proved she didn't kill her child and so much more. A biased judge, it's actually a scary thriller showing how American justice came close to going horribly wrong, and everyone knew it from the beginning.

Still I feel for the Stallone family, they loved their son but he was an adult that didn't need to be checked on daily. Sometimes bad things happen you wish you could change, and they can't but want answers, it's perfectly normal.

  11. Oh for fucks sake. The writers of the blog have completely abandoned the entertainment lawyer mythos, haven't they?
Comparing Stallone to Casey Anthony? Are you saying that Stallone killed his son?
If you know something, say it. Otherwise it sounds like the author du jour is a pissed off stoner whose parents finally cut him off.
Normally I try to suspend my disbelief, and have been reading this site for ages - but as someone who has been blessed with an addict for a relative I can assure you sometimes cutting a person off is the only way to deal with the problem.

  12. Sage was not the autistic child--that is Seargeoh.
"An adult child should be able to understand a parent, especially Stallone had a busy life. He was entering middle age . . .". From all accounts, Sly was an absentee father, and not much of a dad. Having a busy life is NOT an excuse for not having a relationship with your son. And just because Sage was entering middle age doesn't mean that childhood issues just magically disappear.

  13. Having had family drama of my own I know better than to assume anything. Does Sly love his son, I don't doubt for a minute he does but no one knows what Sage was up to or what was going on in his life.
Sly wants answers I hope he gets them.

    ReplyDelete
  14. @SusanB: It was his younger brother who was diagnosed with autism...

    ReplyDelete
  15. This whole thing is a little fishy. First, the cops told TMZ what they found at the crime scene (prescription drug and booze bottles). Then, Sly's attorney made a statement denying all of it, and went so far as to say that the 'booze bottles' were empty soda bottles, and that the kid didn't drink or do drugs.

Now the cops are releasing more info, more details about the empty pill bottles, and Sly hires a PI?

Is that so he can later say "oh, my, I had no idea my son was wasted?"

    It's all strange.

    ReplyDelete
  16. No one here is saying that Sly is about to win any father-of-the-year awards. But in the very first sentence, Enty blames him for the death of his adult son and then in the second, he goes so far as to compare him to Casey Anthony and O.J. Simpson. That is beyond ridiculous to me.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Sorry - my bad about the autism.

    ReplyDelete
  18. This is horrible, ENTY, how could YOU possibly know how he really feels? No one but an ass would say these things after someone's tragedy. Relating it to a movie coming out, omg, unbelievable, dude. He's no Casey Anthony and posting this crap brings a taint to all your claims of concern for certain actresses into question. Enty, pop out your own kindness blind in the form of an apology fir your scathing and insensitive post. Man up dude, can you handle that act of humility? Even if you are right you are still oh so wrong for doing it.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Was Enty the one who just posted that Sage tried calling his dad on fathers day and he wouldn't come to the phone?

    ReplyDelete
  20. @kats - assuming that safe and sage are the same person, then yes, he was.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Again? Wait, who's on a "crusade?"
Snidely McWhiplash doubles down on the brutally vicious insinuations about Stallone (he's like OJ, ya see) but won't give details why.

    Not. Credible.

Either dish out some gossip or don't but do NOT expect everyone to jump on your ragewagon just based on your clumsy, bumbling suggestion. We're not all that well trained.

    ReplyDelete
  22. a lot of people feel like they cant move on until they feel 100% certain they understand how the death occurred. im sure he feels horrible for possibly thinking he had enough time to fix things with his estranged son. he should be able to do anything that helps him get through the grieving process without harming himself or others, without other people criticizing him ENTY.

    ReplyDelete
  23. If he was an absentee father I think losing his son should be punishment enough. This whole post is a step too far.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Real classy Enty...or should I say Richard?

    ReplyDelete
  25. I don't know what Stallone's history is - sleazy or not, good guy or bad guy. I don't know what Stallone's relationship with his son was, but I feel terribly sad for him. If it soothes something in him to hire a PI, then go for it. No one has the right to judge how someone else grieves.

  26. I find this post to be incredibly judgmental, unfounded and misguided to say the least. Honestly, it is making me lose credibility in anything you say, Enty. And I truly am one of this blog's biggest fans.

    ReplyDelete
  27. No one should ever lose his/her child. That said, I never thought of Sly as a "bad guy" but I could be wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  28. What I'm getting is that Enty is alluding to know more of the story from what he's been posting since the beginning of the death notice. Maybe he's trying to spin facts but maybe the posts are a little angrier than normal.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Enty you're going to have to come up off some facts if you are going to say things like that. I agree with katsm0711 that you probably know something we don't, but you're pushing peoples' buttons with nothing to back it up.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Not all family situations are all sweetness and light. Parents and children become estranged for good reasons on both sides.

Sly is not O.J. or Casey, he is probably a father wishing he had been a part of his son's life before it was over.

    Brutal allegation Enty.

    ReplyDelete
  31. You know just by writing it out, I realize how I fell for it. Just like well, Casey really had to be lying but the way Nancy Grace had us all convinced that a guilty verdict was in the bag. Unless I was there, I know nothing, it's just faerie tales. Need to remember my own advice.

Forcing those who visit your site to arm themselves with a variety of artillery to fight off the onslaught of nasty and dangerous ad delivery devices you launch at everyone isn't enough? Now articles like this?

The title of your last blind could have been an article about you: He Used To Be Fun

  38. Enty, allow me to indroduce you to the shark that jumped.

    *sigh*

    ReplyDelete
  39. Yeah, enty, spill what u know. Otherwise leave it alone

    ReplyDelete
  40. well the good news is Enty's grammar is improving.

They were estranged for whatever reasons it happens and guilt sets in after the fact so you try to make ammends. Plus he wants answers.

Not every parent is great, im sure Jennifer Flavin is the one raising the girls and giving them the attention they need no Sly. You only see Jennifer with the kids, never Sly.

Sly is old school movie star and will do anything to stay relevant I would hate to think of him leveraging his dead son for publicity and interest in his movie. But.....I wouldn't put it past him to do it.

  41. "The couple had two sons, Sage Moonblood (May 5, 1976 - July 13, 2012) and Seargeoh (b. 1979). His younger son was diagnosed with autism at an early age."

Sage was not autistic; his brother was.

    And, yeah...who's Richard?!

@SueRH - Someone said middle aged was 36?! I missed that. I hope to God they're wrong; I don't plan on dying at 74.

    ReplyDelete
  42. That's beyond f-ed up. Stallone is a dedicated father to ALL of his children. How an adult child lives is NOT a parent's responsibility. My bedroom is a constant state of disaster and I'm not going to call my dad to tell him it's his fault.

    Could you be more disgutsting.

ok Enty...after reading all the commets you need to back up this article with why you are saying these things please?
Obviously there is alot the public doesn't know. I know what the cousin tweeted.. but what is the truth?

    ReplyDelete
  44. AKM...72. I know, cuz I just turned 36 and was thinking I was pretty close to middle aged.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Just putting this out there: not every child grows up with both parents and most of those children don't become drug addicts and overdose. This can't be put on his door. He probably cut him off years ago just like any person would a drug addict in their family. He's not the only one in Hollywood who left family members behind because they couldn't get it together. Did we blame Amy's parents for her? No, we just said "She was troubled." So was he. Moving on.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Sounds related to the situation the nephew posted about on his FB:

    http://www.celebuzz.com/2012-07-16/sylvester-stallones-nephew-blames-actor-for-depressed-sons-death-you-couldnt-return-a-phone-call-which-is-all-he-wanted-his-father-exclusive/

According to a 'family friend', Sage wasn't even allowed in Sly's house, just cut out totally. Sad.

    ReplyDelete
  47. @Tracy, it does sound as if Sage was out of control, when you put that together with the stash of empty prescription bottles found in his apartment. For all we know, his cousin is also a druggie, so of course he'd blame anyone but the person responsible. I'm looking forward to the toxicology report in a few weeks, but have a feeling I already know the cause of death.

We have no idea what went on between Sly and Sage. We can guess that it wasn't a great relationship, but little more.

We will never know the truth. Something happened, but we can't say.

It's sad, but there isn't any need to jump on Enty about it. He is in a pretty good position to hear about what really went on between the Stallones. I doubt he posted this in a vacuum. It may sound cruel, but it is probably based on something solid.

Something went wrong somewhere. And maybe no one is truly to blame. We'll just have to wait and see what little information will come out. Because, again, we will never know the complete truth.

  50. I know Enty is supposedly just a probate lawyer, but this makes me think he knows some dish on Sly. Or maybe he's just making it up and is really good at it. Love this site, regardless.

If you're a parent, you understand how things can go wrong with your child. Especially when they leave the nest and are seeking independence and trying to be their own person.

  51. This post is beyond the pale. Thank you fellow readers for articulating my same feelings and peeling me off the ceiling. I take some comfort in believing this poster is not Enty. Hopefully he/she is not long for this blog. Cesspool your apparent delight with the situation makes me sick.

  52. The guy was 36 years old. Come on, how many 36 year olds (besides Enty) live at home? Or even in the same city as their parents? Talk to one of their parents maybe once a week, if that? Seriously. Is it because this guy was single that has Enty so skewed in thinking about this? Because if he were 10 years younger but married with kids I assure you Enty wouldn't think Oh Where Was His Dad?? Where was his Dad???

    ReplyDelete
  53. It must be awful to lose a child, I can't even imagine the pain. Leave the poor guy alone.

  54. I have posted on a couple of BI's and stories recently that this blog has taken a turn for the malicious, not to mention the lazy facts. The post about Brad Pitt's mother's letter and his supposed quote to that was from 6 months earlier. The BI's are getting sleazier and sleazier and more misogynistic. This one is the nail in the coffin for me. I'm starting to feel dirty by association.

  55. Westboro Baptist Church has supposedly emailed their 5600 robots of hate to implore them to picket at Sage's funeral because of his adulterous father. We shall see. I wish someone would dig into their lives to make them a living hell like no one has ever seen before, its going to need to be earthy and real to get it through to them.

    ReplyDelete
  56. As far as Enty's comments go, whatever the dish is, if it exists, his comments are about on a level of ugly as what we're about to hear from WBC.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Uffda, this post was pretty damn harsh. Maybe Stallone sucked as a father; that doesn't make him a murderer or a soulless publicity hound. Plenty of people have crappy parents and don't become drug addicts, just like plenty of drug addicts had parents who gave them everything. Sage was 36- that's old enough to have a completely independent lifestyle. If he wasn't close to one or both of his parents, it seems perfectly reasonable that they would want answers for his death.

    ReplyDelete
  58. peculiar, I guess we have to wait to hear how this plays out. I would want to know how my kid died also..

    ReplyDelete
  59. Enty, you sound bitter ?

    ReplyDelete
  60. I've followed Sage's career for over 15 years (don't ask...he was one of my first celeb crushes). I've never read anything to indicate they were estranged, BUT, I do know that Sage had an odd lifestyle. The movie genre he was into alone has a lot of kooks even for Hollywood standards, so Lord only know how he fell into having a bedroom littered with drugs. They keep showing the same pictures of him because he has very few out there. He just wasn't into the spotlight and was by all accounts a well-adjusted but shy guy. I was shocked when I saw the headline the other night. It was so sad to see how things ended for him. To think now there are accusations of him being a dealer is just mind-blowing. This is something you'd expect from like Lohan, not this guy. No matter what the final analysis is, his parents can't be blamed. He came from a broken home, but he was on the right track for many, many years. He displays a good head on his shoulders if you read any of his past interviews. It sounds like things went off course more recently, like maybe he snapped. Sad, sad, sad.

    ReplyDelete
  61. I m not very shocked by what Enty posted but seeing your remarks, it could have been better written.
Pretend there is a conspiracy/plot/intrigue to explain the death of somebody? That s what OJ and Casey Anthony did. That s what Stallone is doing somehow by hiring a private detective.
Hiring a PI was an attempt to diffuse things. It s a PR ploy indeed, to try to blur the media coverage.
What could do this PI anyway? Discover that his son was forced to take drugs against his will? Not very probable at all.
His son was probably a troubled drugs user and this was known to his family, period.
A PI won t bring anything new but a few positive articles showing Sly *cares*.
    Sad.

Fuck Jose Baez and FUCK Casey Anthony. No FUCKING innocent mother wouldn't report her daughter missing for over 30 days and party it up during that time (and even then it was under duress from her asshole mother). I have enough venom for that woman and anyone who tries to defend her. Beat it

Someone who loses a spouse is called a widow.

There are no words to describe a parent who loses a child.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Why is a PI needed for an accidental overdose? There is something fishy in this story.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Think about it. Sly was not brought up as an intellectual or someone who would be that educated. His mom seems a bit dumb'rough with all due respect so I don't think Sly had the tools to pass on to his son and if his son is not stellar then he doesn't want the association (bad for image). Maybe he was a junkie but his mum had time for him. All you judgers like Elle who prattled on, if Enty is so disgusting leave... I trust what he writes about reading about 5,000 or so entries. It's a gossip site not the New York Post. Also Sly lives in the public eye and has to wear the cost.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Sorry - I meant that "after reading about 5,000 entries"....

    ReplyDelete
  68. I do think this post was rather harsh but I am assuming that Enty is going off what Sly's nephew posted on Facebook when Sage died. This is what he wrote to Sly's new wife Jennifer Flavin: "What did he do wrong, say happy birthday?
Neither you or he could return a phone call, which is all he wanted, his father. I know you don’t care what happened, but you’ll care when your squirming under the burning magnifying glass of public opinion.
You people make me fuckin sick. Jennifer, I’m glad your stepmother workload has lessened, one less member of the family to keep away, one less distraction. Jennifer Flavin, you won. Your tore this family apart and got your trophy, Congrats! Like you told my family, "I’m Sly’s family now, he doesn’t need you anymore." Lets see how much he needs you after this. No more pain but the pain he leaves his mother with, one of the kindest souls I’ve ever known, who would do anything for anyone, lets see how you brush this off, treat family like this, not one call to me or my mother either, “an angel by her beside” but your son? They’re going to paint you and your wife black and red, your image will disappear and everyone will see whats inside. Hold on, there’s a big fucking storm coming. This is beyond disgusting. Good luck, what a fucking family!"
