Parents Leave Week Old Baby At Home So They Can Party

What do you do if you are new parents to a week old baby but want to get out of the house and party? You leave your 22 month old baby in charge. Yeah, that was the bright idea of a Georgia couple who decided they just needed to get away. A neighbor found the 22 month old outside crying and screaming and the police were called and discovered the 6 day old baby inside the trailer. Oh, you just knew there was going to be a trailer didn't you? The mom is just 18 and her boyfriend and baby daddy is 23. They said they had been gone for a couple of hours and were both drunk when they finally got back to the trailer. They were both charged with two misdemeanors plus the mom got charged with underage drinking. The two children are in protective custody which is great, but there is nothing stopping the couple from making another baby when they get out of jail and doing the whole thing again.

    1. The screening process to adopt pets is ridiculous yet any idiot can do the nasty and have a kid. Its infuriating. Especially considering the millions of people the world over who would like nothing more than to a have biological children but are unable to. Sad world we live in.

  3. Ugh. Duckface white-trash baby-momma. And humans have evolved to this point? Animals do a better job taking care of their young!

  4. Idiocracy strikes again. These "people" will have 8 more kids I'm sure. Sterilize them both and give their kids to a couple that knows what the fuck they're doing.

  5. Mother Nature is not fair! How are these dumb dumbs so fertile, while other couples struggle for even one baby and pay thousands for the privlege?

Idiocracy is really gonna happen :(

  7. I would say making the fish lips face with a newborn is a dead give-away that this in't going to work out so well.

    sad.

  9. ugh my brother and SIL have tried for 3 years to get pregnant and she can't and have accepted the fact it isn't going to happen to them.

Then you have idiots like this that push them out like rabbits and have no regard for their children's well being over getting their drink on.

Like @NapAssasin said above it makes me all stabby too.

  10. Thats disgusting. Glad the babys were okay, hope the parents arent.

Yeah... some of my 'friends' leave their newborns with their mothers while they go out and party every weekend. I guess they haven't grown up yet.

These people need to be sterilized.

  13. Jesus Christ. "just" eighteen? She was old enough to push those two kids out of her cooch....but she's just too young to know not to leave them home alone? And she was up for going out drinking six days after giving birth??????

Now I'm all pissed off. Thanks, Enty.

  14. I really need to just skip these stories when i see them here or on my news apps. They devastate me every time, and make me want to kidnap these children and deliver them to homes where they are cherished and well-cared for.

OK: legality. I googled age of consent in Georgia and it's 16. Wouldn't she have been 15 when she got pregnant with the now-22 month old? I'm just trying to think of a way to have CPS (??) permanently remove these children until the "parents" wake up and decide to fight for them

  15. LMAO at OMAMA's and Vicki's comments. If I don't laugh, I might cry, because this is crazy-sad.

"You know, Mrs. Buckman, you need a license to buy a dog, to drive a car - hell, you even need a license to catch a fish. But they'll let any butt-reaming asshole be a father."

Or a mother, of course. Jeez.

  20. I am sure her defense was "but the 22 month old is very mature for her age. she's like a little momma" I really do think (sometimes) that people should have to take a test in regards to their abilities to raise a healthy, happy child.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Some? Fuck that, EVERYBODY that wants to have kids should be forced to take a mental/emotional competency test before a mandatory 6-month class in child-rearing. Fail the test, no kids for you. Get knocked up and pull shit like this, sterilization and your kids are given to a childless couple. People are too fucking stupid to not have somebody tell them what to do all the time.

    ReplyDelete
  22. As much as I believe in personal freedom, I'm jumping on the "need a license to breed" train. These kids are doomed.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I wrote a paper in college about a licensing process for hopeful parents that involved IQ test, background check, etc. Got an A+!

    ReplyDelete
  24. I completely agree with everyone's sentiments above- licenses are required to drive and get married, shit why not one to reproduce?

Those poor babies need to be fostered into a good, stable, loving home. It's heartbreaking and infuriating to see people be so cavalier about popping out kid after kid and either being unable or unwilling to give the children the proper care, love, and security that they deserve, especially when there are so many people who can't have kids but want to.

  26. All kinds of wrong. 18 with 2 kids.
23 year old getting an underage girl pregnant TWICE!!
They leave a toddler in charge of an infant.
But she is charged with underage DRINKING???

    ReplyDelete
  27. And I can't get pregnant ...

    ReplyDelete
  28. Sterilization? License? Oh yeah, we can totally enforce those. ??

It's nice to vent here, but jeez, a pinch of reality might be a good idea.

On a lighter note, we need a Raising Arizona-type intervention for those kids. What is Nic Cage doing these days?

  29. Just for the record not all people that live in a trailer are poor white trash like these two.

Yes, I live in a trailer and I have a good job and wear decent clothes and don't have piles of shit all around my yard. I am not poor white trash.

Seriously a 22 month old watching a baby? On what planet could they think that was good? Shit, bring some beers home and at least drink with the kids asleep.
And some people cannot have kids when losers like these people do. Just wrong.

  33. The 22 month old screaming and crying. They must have snuck out unless they just left him like that. He probably thought he'd been abandoned. Filled with hate right now. I feel guilty leaving my dog. TWWWAAAAAATTTTSSSSS.

Can you even imagine what was going through that poor little girls mind? And that little baby laying there all helpless and alone. Make me want to curb stomp the bitch. The worst part is they will have to take some parenting classes and get the kids back in 6 months. It makes me sick.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Ugh, I just read a few more articles about this situation. The idiot parents make Jenelle Evans look good by comparison, and that's just really fucking sad.

  39. Glad the 22 month-old escaped so authorities could be notified.

My cousin's gf used to do this. A lot. My aunt was the one who found out she never used a sitter for her son (this was early in my cousin's relationship with her). She would strap A. in his car seat and sit him in front of the tv with a bottle. When my cousin and then wife broke up, they had a daughter and her son. Daughter was still in a crib, son was about 4. He got a call from Children's Aid in the middle of the night because ex-wife's landlord realized the kids were always left alone while she stayed out, mostly overnight, then came home drunk and/or high. There was a slice of pizza and some sour milk in the fridge. I'm not sure why, but it took more than a couple of weeks for him to get the kids. And they've been with him ever since.

I agree with many others - just because you can breed doesn't mean you don't have to. (Amazing that his daughter turned out so normal because she was using and drinking off and on during the pregnancy, and a week or so before S. was born, she disappeared. Showed up at the hospital high as fuck.)

  40. *doesn't mean you have to.

  41. dammit. and my sister has been spending every last dime and is totally emotionally drained from trying to get pregnant for the past 4 years. Just damn.

  42. Yeah, you have to tajke tests to drive, get out of high school, get in and out of college, etc., but you can fuck up a child's life free and clear.

  43. Anonymous11:10 AM

It's always the idiots of the world who seem to have a special talent for cranking out kids.

Also, how were they charged with two misdemeanors? Weren't they charged with neglect and/or child endangerment? Those have got to be felonies!

  44. I think Enty's next Your Turn should be kind of like what misspoppypants said: Do you think you should have to pass a test or get a license to have a child?

  45. This is the result of a culture that requires PIV for women, and leaves them unaware of any better options.

Planned Parenthood offers vasectomies on a sliding fee scale. I'd like to see WAY more men getting them.

It's not like the state owns their bodies the way it owns mine. Nobody will ask if their partner gave them 'permission' to have one or anything.

Minimally invasive, NO side effects, reversible. It is SELFISH for men to put all the responsibility on women, when she already takes ALL the risks.

  49. Perhaps if women were given complete control over their bodies, this would happen FAR less. Hmmm?

This woman may have wanted an abortion; we don't know her situation. I imagine it's pretty bleak.

  50. For all you ladies struggling to conceive please try acupuncture! I have helped many women get pregnant, with and without IVF. Using acupuncture with IVF increases the chances of implantation by 50%.

Not trying to be preachy but it makes me so sad / mad when dumb dumbs get preggers with ease and some couples really struggle. It's heartbreaking. Wish I had a magic wand for everyone.

Doctress, come on. Stop trying to turn this into a treatise on women's rights and abortion. We have no idea what this woman's wishes were, and for you to make the giant leap that she "may have wanted an abortion" is REALLY projecting.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Wonder how old 18 y.o.'s mom was when she had her and so on and so forth. Not saying she isn't an idiot in her own right, but these things tend to be cyclical, self-fulfilling prophecies.

If you never learn better (like using effective birth control and staying away from creeps who hit on underage girls) you never do better.

    ReplyDelete
  53. When I hear something like this it just makes me sick! I has a hard time leaving my babies for months after they were born just to do groceries, and that was leaving them with my own mother. I just can't fathom not loving and protecting your children with everything you have.

    ReplyDelete
  54. How dispicable. I can't believe they did this. It absolutely infuriates me that stupid people like this are breeding, and then there are people out there who would be amazing parents, but can't have children. Disgusting.

  57. I agree with your points, doctressjulia, but I fail to understand how her maybe having wanted an abortion gives her (and the father) the excuse to mistreat the baby.

    ReplyDelete
  58. And for the record, I don't think she wanted to have an abortion. I think she wanted to have a baby, because it's pretty much like a toy, right? Now she will ALWAYS be tied to the dad.

  59. Here in Jacksonville a couple got tried and convicted of manslaughter after both of Their kids drowned in the neighbors pool in the middle of the night. The mom was at work and dad had to get to work so their was a gap the kids were left alone since mom got held up at work. The neighbor is the one who found them. It was really sad.

  60. No excuse. no excuse at all for leaving a baby with a terrified 22 month old. Save your chills for the babies and all the other ones who are totally helpless. To make excuses is an indefensible.

    ReplyDelete
  61. 1)my son has been escaping the house since ~ 15mo. I installed a motel lock up high so he can no longer open the door.

2)Accupuncture helped me get pregnant, it didn't hurt, maybe a sting on a couple of the needles, please do try it if you are having problems - I have been there and it is heartbreaking.

3)That baby is about 5#, based on the picture, and that means he probably needs to eat every couple of hours minimum.

I hope they both rot and someone who will love them will get to raise them. Their chances look to be terrible, can you imagine ducklips reading "Goodnight Moon" 6 times in a row before bed? Yeah, me neither.

This girl is only 18 which means she is 4 years younger than me.
I don't know how her school district handles sex ed, but I was in 4th grade when they started our sex ed classes. Went until 10th grade. And throughout all those years, we were taught about condoms, STD, pregnancies. Makes me wonder why more school districts don't do this.

of course, you also needed your parent to sign the consent that you were getting the class.

  68. I realize every is venting about how revolting the situation is, but demands for "licenses to breed" always make me think about who issues all the licenses I have to get now; the sterling characters at the DMV, the people at CPS who miss all the the abuse case like this ones in the first place, the TSA agents who now want to test my water at the gate, all the minor officials at the Town Hall who tell me who high my deck has to be and such. Who is going to decide who breeds and who doesn't?

Unfortunately stuff like this happens all the time everywhere in the world. Every time I feel like an a hole for stressing over my kids spilled mill I think of parents like these. And I realize I'm not a bad parent. The best but absolutely horrible story that a fellow cop told me was how they responded to a call from a mom whose 6 month old baby had died . Why'd she die? Because mom left her in the bathtub alone while she "ran out to the grocery store" This shit is all too common and I too think its unfair for seemingly decent people who want nothing more in the world than a child and yet , are unable to conceive

    ReplyDelete
  70. Doctress, chances are she wanted a check from the state more than an abortion.

I hate these people and everyone like them. People who neglect and abuse their kids make me hope a hell exists, even though I don't believe in it. And you can bet these scum won't think twice about physically or sexually abusing their kids either. They aren't even human.

  71. I have long maintained that couples should have to apply for ovaries AFTER completing infant care & parenting classes & the couple passes compatibilty tests & mental health exams....

and then much like any other regulated profession, continuing education classes (Definitely needed for the teenage years when your sweet child turns into someone you don't even recognize...)

And before anyone jumps on me for this, yes I did read A Brave New World & 1984. I know they didn't end well & the last thing I want is a bigger goverment.....

But in my little fanatsy, everyone leaves the hospital with their newborn reasonably prepared, with a little bit of training.

(I had a 32 week 4lb preemie & we were released after 3 days in the hospital. I have never been so terrified of something so tiny....
The first time I had to bathe her sent me into such an anxiety attack my roomate had her co-worker who used to Nanny come over to show me how to give her a bath.

I went into pre-term labor @ 22 weeks & was on bed rest with meds every 4 hrs, then upped to every 2 hrs towards the end so attending Lamaze classes was not an option for me & books are no subsitute no matter HOW many you read.)

In my fantasy, people EARN the right to be parents & are excpetionally prepared to be Great parents.

But then again, this all comes from someone who had nightmares about the Ally McBeal dancing baby & who STILL gets the Heebie Jeebies anytime I catch a clip of it (Damn you VH1 I love the 90's!!) so feel free to dismiss this little theory.....
