The Magic Number Is 33

Did Xena die at the age of 33? Does something happen in Scientology when a female turns 33? Do you want to know how old Mimi Rogers was when she and Tom Cruise divorced? 33. Nicole Kidman? 33. Katie Holmes? 33. Yep. This is like celebrities dying at 27. I think it is a coincidence because I'm not 100% sure that Mimi Rogers actually even close to 33 when split. Oh, yes, I know if you look at wiki or whatever it says she was 33, but I think she lives in the world of aging known as Catherine Zeta Jonesing which uses some formula to hide your true age. It is fun to speculate though. Plus, it gives the opportunity for everyone to take a few minutes to bash Tom in the comments and pray that Katie is strong enough to get Suri out of the clutches of Scientology.

  1. Maybe it's that women seem to mature, and thus change at around that age. And in this case, that change and maturity means wising up to the fact that they deserve better.

  2. I got divorced at age 33 too. Plus, he was a rather short in stature crazy person. My daughter was 6. I think the similarities end there.

  3. Maybe it's like how your taste buds change every 7 years...

  4. In COS, is it that 33 is the beard expiration date? Maybe it's stamped on them when they jump the broom with their assigned gay man. The said gay man keeps their eye on that expiration date, and plans accordingly.

  5. She actually looks shorter than him in that photo.

  10. *yawn* I read this when the news first broke. And no, I don't think there's any relevance to it. It's called "coincidence." Coincidences do happen....and people tend to want to ascribe some mystical or conspiratorial meaning to them. I guess it's human nature.

  11. Yeah, I felt sorry for her then and always have...until the divorce news, that is.

I got the impression when they first "happened," that she was so in love and so naive, and it took a while for the whole truth (lies!) to sink in.

I am VERY glad she's getting out and I pray she and Suri are let out of the CoShit.

  12. I watched a video of Tom going on about CO$ and his determination to do what was right for the people....the upshot was "You're in
on the playing field, or you're out of the arena".

Katie clearly is out of the arena, and good for her.

As for out at 33, it sure beats 43.

  14. I feel as if Tom is being bashed from all quarters right now. Why? We don't know why they are divorcing. And Katie knew what she was getting into shen she married him. She did it for the money, fame, and publicity. It didn't quite work out the way she wanted, so now Tom's the bad guy? And what happened to all the tolerance of commenters on sites like this? If Tom is g@y, which I'm not sure he is, why is he being criticized for it? If he is, he has his reasons for staying in the closet. It's his business. As for the COS, again...Katie knew what he was when she married him.

    1. I haven't noticed TC being criticized here for being gay, but for being in the Co$.

Apart from that, I agree that we don't actually know for a fact what they're doing. That's why it's a gossip site.

  15. "If Tom is g@y, which I'm not sure he is, why is he being criticized for it?"

with all due respect, no one here cares that he is gay (which I am %100 sure he is)...what is annoying is the self promoting, pompous gloating and all over fakery of his public facade. there are plenty of actors and actresses who are gay or lesbian who do not feel the need to smugly dictate to the rest of the world how to live their lives like Tom does. Also, he is horrible hiding it....no one buys his "I'm so freaking happy" performance and after awhile, I got over feeling a bit sad for him and just went to thinking he's a pompous jerk. As for Katie, I will agree she knew what she was getting into, however, I am sure there were caveats she didn't really grasp the tedium of when she signed on. Mostly, I am just hoping the kid ends up with a semi normal life at least.

Also, I still would rather see Nicole's book over Katie's. I think Nicole saw alot scarier stuff.

Oh yes she will be able to do it. Without a doubt. Because she's got the dirt on Tommy boy. She wouldn't have made that move in the divorce unless she was absolutely sure she could. Xenu and the Church of Cash are nazi's, the members that have left talk about torture, licking the floor, imprisonment, blackmail etc. She's got the goods to get what she wants and she knows it. Look at how stern and dark her expressions have been since after the first year of their marriage, like she's been weighing everything very seriously, she's got the balls to do it, she's not stupid and they should know that she has the access, the knowledge and the forum to bring down the entire house of cards in a spectacularly juicy public demolition. They must give her what she wants or she'll out them all as the corrupt, money laundering, torturing, homophobic, humiliating, blackmailing psychopath closet cases they are, I'm looking at you Miscavige and Cruise.

  23. @carolMR wow. you must have bought into the Co$ because it's not about TC being GAY. Sure, she bought into it, but from what you're implying, it's HER fault.

I wanted to thank the readers from yesterday who linked the Village Voice stories about Co$. I spent about three hours reading the VV coverage and all the really informative reader comments .. How COS is still running and has NOT had major charges against them blows my mind. It's a classic criminal entity disguised ( thinly ) as religion.. I seriously shudder to think of what Kate had to do to get away now. They dont let their people go without a fight. Even if she wasn't a full fledged member she was in it too the roots of her hair. I don't have the link but if you haven't read the tony Ortega VV stories you should google them!

I don't care if you like the guy or not, but as least have the balls to admit you are constantly degrading and disrespectful.

  30. Is it spooky or coincidental that I may be leaving comment number 33? If 33 is such a significant number, someone cue the creepy music...

Anyway, I remember that with the whole couch jumping thing, that I actually felt inadequate about my own relationship, because as much as we love each other, there was no over-the-top gushiness or desire to jump on couches to show the world how happy we were. I mean, what was WRONG with us? Shouldn't being in love make us giddy like that? Well, years later, I'm happy to say I'm still happy and in love, and still not jumping on couches...but not worried about that anymore.

  32. Ah, the COS shills have gotten their marching orders and are back. Gee, you guys must have felt so forlorn the past couple of days with no word from your puppet masters.

In hindsight, I think it's clear that Mimi wanted out of the marriage and Tom beat her to the courthouse for the sake of appearances. So two out of three wives have dumped him when they turned 33.

Basically, has the guy had an even vaguely plausible romantic relationship with a woman in his life except for Nicole? No. As shams go, he's done a damn bad job of being a pretend hetero.

    ReplyDelete
  38. For what it's worth, I think the CoS is complete bat-sh!t whackjob nonsense, but I would STILL say that "we don't know what really happened." Because, um...we don't.

I've also never quite understood where all the TC-Is-Gay/Let's-Call-Him-Tommy-Girl stuff came from. He sets off my gaydar not one iota (and mine is pretty accurate, for whatever reason).

I also think the relationship, at least on KH's end, was genuine, at least in the beginning. But all I can REALLY do is speculate. Because "I don't know what really happened."

And despite all that typing, I'm kind of over it. Give me a BI reveal -- did we get one yesterday? -- or show me some supahstars all dressed up on a red carpet. I've heard all about TC/KH in the last few days that I care to. Next item! :-)

  49. TC is absolutely gay (or at least bi but prob not) Know from the gf of a former bodyguard (early 90's era.) Bodyguard signed an ND contract but of course told his gf anyway. Who told me. This was before the internet and the rise of all the rumors.

But who cares? So many wonderful creative people are gay. The point is, the CO$ is homophobic nearly (but not quite, thank God) to the level of Nazi homophobia, except CO$ believes you can be "cured" if you beard up and "confess your sins" in auditing. Also, it's the foisting the illusion on the public that is so disgusting. There are bi/gay men/women in heterosexual marriages out there who genuinely love their wife/husband (but perhaps not sexually) and make their choice to remain married. But they're not flaunting their relationship as a model of true "straight"romance to the masses! It's the public lies - the public, obviously produced circus, really - and arrogant flaunting of those lies that pisses people off. It assumes such naivety in the public...and worse, it implicitly makes homosexuality wrong (which is what CO$ intends of course.)

I think it's a good thing that these false relationships are coming to light, because if more celebrities are able to be themselves in their public and private lives, the more bisexuality or homosexuality will be understood to be normal. Which it is. For at least 10% of the population. Always has been, since the beginning of time. By these elaborate publicity charades, the implied message is, only heterosexual love is normal.

    ReplyDelete
  50. you people are pathetic, leave Tom alone. What has he done to you. Who cares about religion or if he is in to guys. Tom is awesome in my book.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I have read that within Sea Org homosexuality is quietly tolerated within certain bounds. Keep it secret, no LTR's, admit to it in auditing and they won't chuck you out.

Also for the average "believers": if they're paying for the courses and confess it in auditing, you can do what you want. It's all blackmail leverage that COS can use to keep their followers under their thumb, after all.

I'm sure that's how the COS celeb GLB elite rationalize it, those that don't really believe in all the Scieno bullshit, and they're probably given a pass by their hand-picked auditors. But how does Tom rationalize his sexuality with his belief in COS? If the rumors are true, he's not particularly ashamed of sleeping with men, he just wants to keep it a secret. But he's also supposedly a 5th or 6th-level "clear" and seems to think that he can control reality with his COS tech. How do you make those two halves of yourself live together in one head?

Did Miscavige give him the quiet absolution? "Tom, all of Scientology is 100% true...except for the anti-gay stuff. Ignore that part."

    ReplyDelete
  52. I think Tom like L Ron H is a perfect example of a megalomaniac personality

    ReplyDelete
  53. Who says Miscaviage doesn't have his own sexual identity struggles?

    ReplyDelete
  54. Agent - I guess lizzie du speaks Scientology - her brain is so fried she can't even communicate in the English language..

I see someone else brought up the idea of Jesus being 33.

I believe the story that mentioned that Katie signed a contract, and that the contract is up this year. I also think she was pregnant when she met Tom, and Tom talked her into saying that Suri was his.

I also think that if Katie can demand sole custody, which I would think was unheard of in Scientology, she must have some dirt on Tommy. Like the aforementioned "child is not his" statement above. Thank goodness Katie's dad is a lawyer.

    ReplyDelete
  56. I don't understand why everyone is taking sides: guys, this is simply a matter of the contract being up. This was planned all along. Katie's fine. (if it weren't for this marriage, she'd be referred to as "that girl who played Joey years ago;" this way, she's still relevant, because there's no such thing as bad publicity in Hollywood)

    ReplyDelete
  57. I think pretty much everybody is on the child's side.

    ReplyDelete
  58. I'm not taking sides becuase I honestly believe this was all orchestrated but if it isn't, then I hope it turns to a giant-clusterfuck! For millions of dollars that are being passed from Tom to Katie I need to be fully entertained, shit needs to hit the fan stats! I just hope Suri's gonna be ok though.

    ReplyDelete
  59. "Who says Miscaviage doesn't have his own sexual identity struggles?"

Not me. Guy rings my gaydar like a fire alarm. Plus there have been rumors that he's at least bi.

I'm surprised that, if true, Tom was willing to "procreate" (however it happened) with a woman he had locked up under contract for only five years. He must have known that, in the worst case, she could walk away with the kid before he/she could be brainwashed into a COS-bot.

Or maybe he doesn't really care. If he lets Katie go without a fight but still gets a good custody settlement, he defuses some of his negative PR as a COS zealot and still gets the praise for being a good father and the macho bump for having sired a child.

    ReplyDelete
  60. @CarolMR: I feel the same way. Plus, we haven't heard one iota from Team Cruise. Stand your ground and don't take the bullying.

@BigMamma: of course people care if he is gay. Have you not heard about the homophobic, anti-gay marriage rants in most of the country? If you didn't care, why the fuck would you even comment about his hiding his personal life? Don't be so naive and judgmental.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Maybe Katie is cannier than we gave her credit for and signed the contract before she told him she was pregnant.

  64. Katie very carefully crafted her exit, and other than a prenup, she probably signed a NDA in case the relationship flopped, the prenup provide more money for each years they stayed married and then CA law takes over after 10 years voiding any agreement which allows a spouse 50% of all assets *Nicole Kidman fought over the length of the marriage if you remember, hard fought. TC and CO$ are going to cover his ass, especially now that the Pope on a rope, Miscaviage elevated TC to 2nd or 3rd in the "Church". Most of the weirdos posting on here are CO$ members who are monitoring sites, the Pope doesn't understand the internets and thinks the content can be controlled. Katie knew this, was told with the help of family and people she trusted to get the information, proof she needed to prevail in court. She has something that isn't covered in her existing contracts, and feels like if it's not now it's never. Also, there is a CO$ procedure called SecChecking, that can start at 6, which basically turns you into a spy on your family, and begins the process of complete indoctrination of children into the cult. You can read the questions at Marty Rathbun's blog Moving on up the Bridge, or the Running Scared series in the village voice, by Tony Ortega. Both of these sources have oodles of information and I think the real reasons Katie has made a break for it that will work. It's also been said that they have had separate sleeping arrangements for a while, a long while. Whatever this was it was no longer an active marriage in all respects, finally Katie is already being followed by the CO$ and is replacing her entire staff, to rid herself of any CO$ members around her family. She's openly monitoring the vehicles taking photos and they all are not paps. I think she's brave but if was going to leave it had to be now. TC is despicable, and will go to any end to get what he and his church want. I don't know why I am unknown now, I've been commenting since the blog went up! Odd.

    ReplyDelete
  65. For those of you who read the VV articles, we're any of you surprised about the time frame TC stepped away from COS due to Nicole's influence? He had very little to do with COS for several years, also coinciding with his peak popularity.

    ReplyDelete
  66. "...then CA law takes over after 10 years voiding any agreement which allows a spouse 50% of all assets"

I'm not sure what you're trying to say here, but under CA Family Law:

--The 10-year rule applies to spousal support, not community property.

--There is no statutory sunset law abrogating prenups for community property. I wish there were, 'cuz I'd have come out of my divorce with a couple hundred thousand dollars instead of actually losing money.

  67. Just for the record, I am a practicing Catholic. I have absolutely ZERO interest in COS. It's the rampant and veiled homophobic/hate references that I find disturbing, despite the above-mentioned declaration.

These people are adults, and how they conduct themselves is no interest to me and they owe me nothing. As I see it, my job as a human being is not to judge people, but to make sure mine is in accordance to my higher being. That's it. I have no right to judge anyone on her/his lifestyle, or how they go about obtaining/maintaining it.

Sure I swear like a sailor, but where in the Bible are those words written and forbidden? Please, if you are so inclined to respond, I'll only entertain Biblical references from Constantine to 1500. History buffs will understand why.

Interestingly, 33 is my favorite number. It's the age Jesus died for us.

  90. I'm mostly a CDAN lurker but I feel the need to feed the trolls. A few posts up @ Sis Cesspool commented that how Tom and Katie conduct their lives was of no interest to her. If that's so why spend time on a gossip site? Commenting on the lives of celebs whom most of us don't know is what is expected on a gossip blog.

Re Tom's sexual preferences: about 85% of the comments I've read on the 2 blogs I follow have focused on Katie, Suri and the COS.

  91. Dear Unknown:

Thank you for calling me a troll. Quite frankly, as an entertainment professional, I am rather interested as to how the rest of the world views us. Perhaps it's the sociologist in me. As someone who had worked in Hollywood for 15 years, I am always amused about what I read in the rags, but when I read unfettered bullshit from sites like this, I take umbrage.

As to your claim that you are new to the site, you absolutely full of shit and you know it. Shall I pull up your past posts? Go home and take a nap.

    Blogger Unknown said...

Odd.

  103. All of this drama is way more entertaining than any movie Tom Cruise ever made!

    ReplyDelete
  104. @ghost--Technically, republishing OT III in its entirety is a copyright violation, which might bring the COS nazis down on Enty.

    ReplyDelete
  105. B. Profane- not at he is not the entity publishing it. Much like sites such as 4chan are not responsible for the content that users post in an open forum.

And for what it's worth, Scientology's documents are all over the internet. They failed to take down Gawker Media, Huffpost, Wikipedia, Google... they couldn't even do anything to Matt Parker and Trey Stone who famously leaked OT III via an episode of South Park. And believe me, it burns them up inside :)

    ReplyDelete
  106. Not only Co$ trolls onboard, but apparently DRUNK trolls, wow.

I believe Katie is standing in a hole in that photo

I thought when that picture initially surfaced that Tom's team must have scouted for WEEKS to find some place the wedding photos could be taken that would help him look that tall. I've always assumed there had to be a dip hidden under her skirts, and a hole sounds even more plausible.

  111. @ghost--I'm just saying, don't get the blog shut down because of a nuisance lawsuit from COS. Enty's blog carrier could choose to shut down the blog if served with a cease & desist letter.

I believe that no sites under jurisdiction of US law have published the whole text of OT III. I think the sites you listed have published excerpts as allowed under copyright law. South Park satirically paraphrased OT III, which is also legal.

Feel free to taunt the COS shills with all the loony tune details of OT III. I love the bit about the 727's and the volcanos. Or mention that Hubbard was completely strung out on a dozen kinds of prescription drugs when he had the "revelation" of OT III.

    ReplyDelete
  112. B Profane can you answer a question for me please? I saw an interview with Ricky Gervais where his infamous GG speech was discussed,. He said something along the lines of that he couldn't be sued if he was speaking the truth even if it wasn't public knowledge. Is this correct?

    ReplyDelete
  113. More or less, yes, provided he was saying something true-but-unrevealed about a "public figure".

    ReplyDelete
  114. B. Profane- good point. I wouldn't put it past the overly litigious Co$ drones to attempt to shut Enty down regardless.

However, yes, there are sites that have OT III and virtually every other Scientology document hosted. I won't say them here, because I don't want to be complicit in them (or myself) getting harassed by OSA creeps... but Project Chanology is still alive and well if one knows where/how to look. Wikileaks has them all as well, though I admittedly do not know what jurisdiction their servers fall under any more as they move them frequently.

What is the most amusing is that South Park's parody was actually pretty spot on- the Xenu story part was pretty much scene for scene of the actual OT III text. The other OTs, eight in total thus far, are equally as amusing/insane if anyone is ever so inclined to read through them.

    ReplyDelete
  115. @astrogirl,

You need to be able to prove it. If you haven't signed an NDA (non-disclosure agreement) then good for you. If you have, then you have to provide proof that your endeavors went above and beyond your stated contract, which is very hard to prove. That brings it down to a He-Said/She-Said scenario.

    Good luck.

    ReplyDelete
  116. Yes, just in case anyone is curious, you can fairly easy find the full text of all the OT levels (are they up to eight now?) on the 'net. They're posted anonymously to various USENET 'groups and they're not that hard to find on offshore sites.

So what level is Tom at supposedly? I had heard Level 5 at one point, and that Travolta was at a higher level.

I wonder if someone slipped Katie OT III outside of the standard Scieno curriculum and that flipped her out about COS.

    ReplyDelete
  117. Sis Cesspool I was talking about Ricky Gervais not being sued by Co$ for the stuff he said at the Golden Globes. Why would he sign an NDA?? What would he have to prove?

The fact that he wasn't sued seemed pretty proof enough that he spoke the truth.

    I don't get what you're saying.

    ReplyDelete
  118. Yes, they are currently up to eight, although the word on the street is that Miscavige is going to announce OT 9 in a matter of weeks (on the annual Freewinds cruise).

Of note is that typically when they release the "next step on the bridge" they also edit all of the pre-existing OTs to better suit what they've just pulled out of their collective ass and used to write the newest OT, and members are required to pay for and go through the entire process of these OTs again- yet another costly, time consuming way that they keep members in limbo from ever actually achieving "total freedom".

Last I read, I think Tom Cruise had just began OT 7. Not sure about Travolta. I believe Kirstie Alley is OT 6 though.

    ReplyDelete
  119. Agent**It, we get the point, you hate "trolls" and CO$ shills. Calling people out is beneath you. I like to sit back and enjoy the commentary. It is quite entertaining to see people argue their cause, especially when they stick both feet in their mouth...

When I first started posting, newbies were accused of being publicists. I'd stink @ that job or advertising - unless I really believed in something, and then I could sell it w/o trying - if you are one who feels like enthusiastic people naturally breed/spread (forget the saying) enthusiasm.

No need for anyone to get so upset, just sit back and watch the fireworks. Much more entertaining!!

  120. I did some more reading last night and thought it was interesting that:

There was approx a 2 wk period when Katie Holmes when missing, pretty much straight after meeting TC for the Mission III audition. Her father spoke publicly about her dissapearance and as far as I'm aware, it's never been disclosed as to what happened to her during that 2 wk period.

I also read the comments posted on D-listed and one of the readers pointed out the similarities between Suri and TC's cousin William Mapother, whom I also understand is a CoS. I did a google search and wow! I can understand a child having similarities with their relatives, but Suri is the spitting image of him. Makes you wonder.....

After reading about CoS practices, I do have some concern for Katie's welfare but I think she'll be safer for the time being than in 6 months or a year's time, when there's less media interest in her and the divorce. I think that this is when she'll be at greater risk. Ironically, right now, having the pap on her tail might work in her favour. The impression I've gotten is that they seem to be a small community and seem to know each other which is why there were able to identify that the 2 cars following her, weren't paps. I found the fact that one of those cars had NYPD clothing items a bit disturbing. Is that something that's easy to buy as tourist gear over there? Seems a bit odd if it is.

And lastly, in the past much has been made of her childhood crush on Tom. It was only last night after reading, I think the Andrew Morton article (he better be careful from now on), that it was on Tom Hanks not Tom Cruise. It was just spun out to be Tom Cruise because that tied in nicely with the romance theme.

  127. "...just because someone disagrees w/the majority does not mean they are CO$."

No, but if you only comment about COS celebrities, and if you deny and obfuscate following the "script" that COS shills are known to use, don't be surprised if you get labeled as a clam sneak.

And if you do get unfairly labeled...relax. Don't react.

Look, it's no surprise that the shills are at the barricades. Enty is clearly baiting COS by posting three items about the TomKat split in a row and encouraging readers to comment about it. He knows and we know that CDAN draws more than a few eyes from the entertainment industry and media. He knows that the blog was on the radar of COS already and drawing their shills to post denials in the comments. He's taunting them to bring it on, and I think one can glean why. He wouldn't keep posting entries about Tom & Katie divorcing if he was unhappy with the volume and tenor of the ensuing comments.

The light-hearted banter and bitchy snark is available in other comment threads. For the moment the commentary about this celebrity divorce is likely to be infused with a somewhat dreary degree of religio-cultural warfare. But, presumptuous though it may be for me to say, I don't believe that our host is displeased with that.

    ReplyDelete
  128. Right? However, I feel so much lighter now that I have been "outed" as COS agent. All because I disagree about homophobic rants. Utterly fascinating.

  129. I don't really get all the Tom hate. Maybe his preaching about cos is annoying but he is nice.I heard many people talk about how he was very nice to them when they met him.

  130. @snowstorms and others, sorry you feel that way but identifying them is a tradition here and as well as on other blogs. When there are more readers, the names are carried forward by others who were not here yesterday.

There are now a lot of very young readers here that are becoming familiar with Co$.They get good source material here and are intelligent enough to follow up by reading other sources to see what's going on (other than gossip).

When Co$ are called out they always respond with homophobic accusations. Apparently, BigMama and I are now KKK members. We'd be more like Clooney and crew in "O Brother where Art Though'.

The particular reader who insists on using offensive language seems to be a little bit unstable.

This is a significant event that is occurring in Co$ land and one that Enty has pushed for years on this blog. This cult may explode. Human trafficking, murder and missing people are pretty serious subjects.

Again, sorry you feel that way, but no apology from me.

    ReplyDelete
  131. The ironic thing is, despite my one run-in with COS when TC was filming on the Fox lot, all I know about COS I learned from this site. No kidding.

  133. I don;t think anyone was blindsided. Katie knew exactly what she was walking into - her 5 year contract was up - it was all prearranged. In fact, I read on one site about the contract and it said "expect an announcement in due course (of divorce)". Her father oversaw (?) her contract apparently. Nicole's cont. was for ten years. I remember how she went on about how upset she was and that she dudn't know why it happened and his attorney commented "Nicole knows exactly why this happened" - it was very cryptic. Also I don't believe she gave birth to her first child either. She only came out about the second one was because there were people ready to talk and so she beat them to it. Nicole would NEVER stretch her body etc like Pink, Jessica and others. We saw her with a big bump but never looked pregnant, if you know what I mean. Then she had implants and said her breasts were bigger after the birth. he is unbelievable. I read that she got pregnant to Ewan McGregor or at least wanted his baby. Tom has always insisted she be discreet. Anyway, Katy knew about Scientology and Tom - everyone did. She is just fulfilling her contract and was or will be paid handsomely for it. Of course, she would move to NY. That's my take anyway ...

  134. Agent**It, you bring great information to the threads, and if you want to do a roll call, that is your choice, but can you please limit the amt of times and possibly leave it for CO$ threads?!? I have never seen roll calls before - then again, Steppy has been our resident TC fan the past few months. I have seen the Majority of the other posters posting for quite a while (before I ever posted), and never knew them to be pro TC. Heck, after seeing Rock of Ages and having a special connection to that film, even I have softened towards him - CO$ aside. Nice to see Katie firmly stepping out against them on Day 3. I would love for her to post religious differences as partial reason for divorce - under irreconcilable differences...

  138. @astrogirl - I can just see you sitting in a coffee shop strumming on an acoustic guitar and it's cracking me up.

As far as the NDA, perhaps I misunderstood the question you were asking. I've written and read many contracts and some of them get right to the point about what can and cannot be said, and some people insist that be included. (Riders are a good place for this...) Producers confer about how things will go down, protecting themselves from written communique, clearly implying if they don't get what they want, you wont see the talent again. And lastly, there is a right to free speech, which is an easy out for studios.

In the end, I think it was TC's way of slapping RG and the GG as a warning to show that he (TC) won't take shit. We call it saber rattling. TC has to show face, and GG want to get the best talent, so everybody wins.
