Lena Headey Files For Divorce
Usually I am fairly indifferent when people file for divorce in Hollywood, but when I saw that Lena Headey aka Cersei Lannister from Game Of Thrones was filing for divorce, I was wondering if it was too soon to ask her out. I think I just have been watching too much Game Of Thrones. Plus, after watching it, I have figured out that back in those days all people did was eat, kill and have sex. Headey was married to Peter Loughran back in May 2007 and they have been separated for awhile. If she is just filing now then it must mean one of them has someone. They do have a two year old child together.
Cersei is beyond awful in the books but Lena does an amazing job making her seem less than evil. Sorry bout your divorce boo, don't be hitting on my Jon Snow tho!
ReplyDeleteI love how you say "back in those days" Enty, as if Game of Thrones was set our actual past or something like that. Tee hee!
ReplyDeleteAnother one bites the dust. So sad.
ReplyDeleteGoT isn't real?!? I kid, I kid. Enty- how bout some GoT love in the pictures? I wouldn't mind seeing some of those beautiful people!
ReplyDeleteWhy didn't my comment show up? Weird.
ReplyDeleteBasically, I said I wished she would divorce her botox and her acting coach.
I have no idea who this is, but she looks like Parker Posey in this picture. I love Parker.
ReplyDeleteHow was Lena Headley not nominated for an Emmy?
ReplyDeleteIf any of you are not Game of Thrones enthusiasts I encourage you to watch the second season episode "Blackwater" where Cersei (Lena's character) gets absolutely plastered as the city is being attacked. SHe is one of the most smugly vile villains on TV
Absolutely love yuo.
Yes Enty! More GoT love!!! I am DYING to watch the second season (no HBO). Yes it's sad that I can't afford HBO, but that's the way it is. Mom's sending me a bootleg copy. Shhh. Don't tell the Feds.
ReplyDeleteShe looks so different with her natural dark hair. Still gorgeous though.
@Grey ohhh man, that episode! When she's on the throne with her little boy and about to...I won't spoil for others, but fuck, I was crying.
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with whoever said she makes Cersei less awful. Lena does a fantastic job of making her at least sympathetic of not likable at times. She's hilarious.
ReplyDeleteI LOOOOVEEEE Game of Thrones! I get what Enty means because even if we look through our history books we can see how people behaved in the Middle Ages, Sex, Booze, and Fighting. And to Grey & Seaward, the episode you guys are talking about, WOW! I was about to cry if she did that to her little boy, because initially I thought it was going to be for her.
ReplyDeleteGame of Thrones isn't even set on planet earth. It isn't a glimpse on the middle ages.

DeleteHe's a "musician". Of course he's a musician. The headline will be when a very attractive actress doesn't marry a musician. I knew I should have stuck to those guitar & piano lessons. There's serious seduction magic in those scales.
ReplyDelete@dia- i am also too poor for HBO, but i have an awesome friend who lets me use their HBO Go account so i can watch the episodes on my kindle fire!
ReplyDeleteThe Blackwater episode was incredible (esp every scene with Cersei) and was so much better to see than actually read it.
I finally finished reading all 5 books (took me 3 months and over 4k pages) and i just love GoT. Great show with great actors using great source material!
She has been pretty great in British films for almost 20 years now. If you haven't seen "Imagine Me and You" rent it. It's a lesbian version of "Four Weddings and a Funeral". Maybe not exactly that plot but it has all the hallmarks of a Richard Curtis movie. No villains, quirky secondary characters, eccentric wealthy parents and great London locations. One of the best RomComs of the last 20 years.
ReplyDeleteGreat movie
DeleteAnother good Lena film- The Brothers Grimm with Damon and Heath Ledger (rip!) it was directed by Terry Gilliam (sp?) its a super good movie that did horrible at the box office but i highly suggest it. Heath is very good in this film as is Lena.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite line from "Blackwater" is when Cersei is already three sheets to the wind, calls Sansa over (who is praying with everyone), and throws a pillow at her:
ReplyDelete"Sit."
The delivery of that line alone was epic.
God I love her, she is easily my favorite GoT character
I love that she calls her little dove
DeleteMy girl crush on Cersei Lannsiter knows no bounds. I agree with whoever said that book!Cersei is a less than pleasant character, but I loved Cersei's scenes with Sansa in the HBO series. Can't wait for next season!
ReplyDeleteYes she is my girl crush too! Absolutely beautiful- and I love to hate her on game of thrones!!!
ReplyDelete@carebear: I totally forgot about HBO Go. I believe a certain family member mentioned this to me. Thanks for the info!
ReplyDeleteGuess what I'm gonna do this weekend! I also missed the last season of True Blood. Marathon!!!
I just got HBO Go and it's awesome! I'm catching up on all the shows I've missed
DeleteI had never heard of Lena Headey until I saw her on the Sara Connor series. I really liked the show but it didn't make it for another season. I love her in GOT great series.
ReplyDeleteCersei is by FAR my favorite on GoT! I haven't read the books but I still think she is an evil, awful bitch on the show. She is SO GOOD at being bad.
ReplyDeleteAgreed rejectedcarebear,
ReplyDeleteI love Jon Snow. I hope he plays Ezio Auditore de Firenze in the assassin creed movies. He would be perfection!
Ahhhh....That explains why she put her LA house on the market with a "priced to sell" list price on it. Let me see if I can find the link with pictures... it's a nice mid century near the Laural Canyon dog park.
ReplyDeleteTotally agree she should have gotten an Emmy nod this season. She was more terrifying in the Blackwater episode than the fighting in the vanguard!

ReplyDeleteHere's the house.
OK Enty - follow this: My neighbor's son and his wife house-sit for Lena. Would you like me to give him a call? (I understand she's very nice.)
ReplyDeleteShe needs to water her lawn.
ReplyDeleteI've been a fan of hers since 'Gossip.' I'm glad she's finally getting some recognition.
ReplyDeleteBack in "those days" that never existed because it's a made up fantasy world?
ReplyDeleteIf she is filming in Belfast I will make my last month here being on the gossip trail...I was at the Titanic gig back in April and all I could think was "Oh,GoT films near here"
ReplyDeleteShe was in a movie called 'Gossip.' Hee-Hee.
ReplyDeleteShe also rocked that nerdy/hot Tina Fey look in that movie before Tina Fey made it trendy.
We got rid of satellite just before season 2 of GoT. Bad timing!!! Tyrion is my favorite, and I can't wait to see Joffrey die. I hate that little f***er. Lena was good in Sarah Connor Chronicles and does very well playing Cersei. Damn I miss HBO! :(
ReplyDeletei loved her in Terminator:The sarah connor chronicles. She was bad ass! (and it was a great show!)
ReplyDeleteOk, i've had a couple large glasses of wine (off work tomorrow, yay) ;) but I'm loving that there are other Terminator: Sarah Connor fans out there! I used to kinda give my husband shit about watching it, then I got sucked in! Summer Glau was also a badass! :)
