It has been a year since Ben Harper served Laura Dern with divorce papers. At one point the couple reconciled, but now it is all over. Laura filed her response to that petition that was filed a year ago.Apparently Laura not only takes care of the couple's two children, but she is also the primary caregiver for Ben's other kids. Laura wants spousal support and child support and I'm guessing she will get everything she is asking for since Ben has already moved on with someone else. Laura has some of the worst luck ever with guys. I don't know what it is about her. She seems cool and she is sexy, but every guy ends up dumping her and they generally do so in very spectacular fashion. There was Billy Bob and then with Ben it came out of nowhere too.
Always liked her, and she seems to have terrible luck with men. Or chooses the wrong men.

ReplyDeleteAfter reading up on the romantic histories of these two, I am a little disappointed by both of their behaviors over the years. Take it with a grain of salt, but I read that Laura hooked up with Billy Bob while he was still very much with his (now) ex-wife. They wind up together, then B.B leaves Laura for Angelina. Laura then hooked up with Ben while Ben was married and his wife was pregnant, then Laura got pregnant around the same time and Ben left his wife for Laura. It seems like this relationship was doomed from the start, although apparently they did date for 5 yrs for marrying.

Agree with Sunny. Laura has relationship karma. She's been the other woman as often as she's been cheated on, she's just played the victim more publicly.

Why don't these men ever end up with relationship karma? Or was Billy Bob's karma losing AJ to Brad? According to one of enty's latest reveals they still have sex, so I don't think Billy Bob is losing out on much.
ReplyDeleteI really like both of them. Used to work in the music business and Ben Harper was one of the nicest artists to the staff (up there with country singers and Meatloaf). She seems so cool. I am going to try not to read any more info about them because I appreciate their talents.

ReplyDeleteI had a friend I used to watch movies with who always referred to her and her father as "Dern Laura!" and "Dern Bruce!" It never got old, at least when he would exclaim it every time he saw her face.

ReplyDeleteI guess this may come across as bitchy, but I've never liked Laura Dern. Something about the way she speaks has always really bothered me. Remember that one she did where she played Mark Ruffalo's wife? Your Friends and Neighbors, I think it was called? I would have loved that movie, but she was in it, and I couldn't get past how much I didn't want to watch her onscreen. That being said, its a shame the woman has such a hard time finding lasting love. As for Ben, he played the best live show I've ever seen. He may be a D-bag, he may not. But my dislike for Dern and my love of his music make me not give a shit. Wow. That sounded cold.

Don't worry about it, Em Cue Em, I have never liked her, either. She has gramma face - like Maggie Gyllenhaal. I can't watch her in movies, either.

ReplyDeleteI worked with both of these two as well. She was a "secret" bitch... syrupy sweet to your face, and made her assistant do her dirty work. On the other hand, he came across as very low maintenance and a genuine nice guy with all the crew etc. And he was married when she came on the scene... so she is getting what she deserves.
