When it comes to a decision as to whether I believe Katie Holmes or COS about whether Katie is being followed, I am going to lean towards the side of Katie. The thing is, even if she is not being followed, everyone knows Scientology does that kind of thing so it just makes them look bad and makes Tom look worse since he is second in charge. This is going to be a very public divorce battel and the average person who has no idea about the crap that Scientology pulls are going to be very enlightened. If they are following Katie, they are going to look awful for doing so and will get caught. If they are not following her, they are still going to look awful because the media will bring up every story of how COS has followed people before.
One of the favorite COS tricks is to hire a detective agency who then hires the people who follow someone and COS can deny they are following anyone. Oh, or SeaOrg people who "on their own initiative and without the knowledge of COS follow someone." That is always a favorite. If COS does their usual dirty tricks stuff, they will end up losing a lot. It would also be nice if Katie didn't tell them a lot of secrets about herself so she could spill about them.
The paps are the ones saying that white SUV isn't one of them. They may turn out to be her biggest ally in all this.
ReplyDeleteThe Co$ will do whatever they can to fuck her up, but they're intensely stupid if they think their usual methods of intimidation will on such a high profile person.
I won't be surprised if Katie is the catalyst in bringing them down.
O/T if anyone knows how to get rid of the annoying pop ups that are now on Enty's site, please let me know. They are driving me loca.
ReplyDeleteI believe Katie. After 5 1/2 years of up close and personal exposure to the top bananas she would know. I'd like to see Lisa Marie Presley reach out to her for support and advice if she wants it.
ReplyDeletePopup ads? I use AdBlocker. Freaking genius.
ReplyDeleteI believe COS because they never follow or harrass anyone and never lie...sarcasm over.
ReplyDeleteAt this time I would like to retract anytime I referred to Katie as a twit. Her recent actions have restored my faith in her. Well, not her fashion choices. Those are still questionable.
Run Katie Run.
@Montanna, I use the Foxfire browser with the Adblock Plus add-on. It will cure all annoying problems for every site.
ReplyDeletePatty, I like to think all her fashion choices were her way of getting under Tom Thumb's skin.
ReplyDeleteI'm expecting Katie to start wearing high hells ala Nicole after she and Tom divorced.
ReplyDeleteIt is going to be super fascinating to see how all of this unfolds, that's for sure. I highly doubt anyone would believe CO$ over Katie - I have yet to meet a single person that doesn't think it's whacko.
ReplyDelete@Patty, I'm inclined to cut Katie slack too. The reality of being responsible for another innocent human being that you brought into the world sharpens any caring mother's focus considerably. She's seen the light; better late than never.
ReplyDeleteErr I meant high heels, don't want the spelling police after me again
ReplyDeleteThank you all, much appreciated.
ReplyDelete@rejectedcarebear, I think some high hell will be let loose during these divorce procedings, LOL.
ReplyDelete@Vicki, I hope you're right because if she is making some of those choices because she thinks they look good, well...oh my.
Regardless, I'm glad she snapped out of her trance. Run Katie, Save Suri.
I realize Katie may have been blinded by love when she entered into this union. I truly think she was head over heels that Tom wanted her. Which of us hasn't done stupid things when feeling like that? I wanted to shake her when it was first announced & tell her to stop but she's where she is now and I would love to see her win all of this.
ReplyDeleteI feel guilty a lot of times because I really do love seeing Tom in movies (I didn't see Rock of Ages). I think he's an amazing actor. But other than that - I think he's whacko. Kudos Katie for perhaps being way stronger than anyone gave you credit for being.
Katie is definitely earning her reputation back! I just want to know why hasn't Tom and his people tried to paint him in a better light and why are they so quiet?...very odd...
ReplyDeleteVicki - ITA, The paps will be her biggest ally. They will be all over this divorce and will be all over anyone following her to get a scoop.
ReplyDeleteThey will try to intimidate her, but I can't imagine they'd be stupid enough to hurt her. The world is watching. And the story would never go away. I pray they realize that.
I feel for Katie. She was relatively young when she got married to him, probably all ready pregnant, and a nearly nonexistent acting career. Then an offer comes in from her childhood crush.
ReplyDeleteI hope that she will remain strong and smart through this whole divorce thing and stick it to him and scientology in general.
I am so glad that Katie is finally getting away from Tom, but as a mother who has sole custody of my kids, I know how difficult this is going to be for her. Also, I know how terrifying it is to think that your child's father could be a danger to him/her (either mentally or physically), and how hard it is when they have visits, thinking, "Is this the week he doesn't bring them back?" This is going to be a long, tough fight, and Tom has a lot of resources. If he really loses it, either Katie or Suri could just "disapear" into thin air. Very scary situation all around for a mom.
ReplyDeleteThis may be the one time the paps fulfill a purpose beyond giving us horrible pictures to gossip about. If she can keep those guys on her side, she should be well protected, sad to say.
ReplyDeleteGrabbin my popcorn, settling in for a fascinating few moths of Tom Vs. Katie.......and yes, it does make me happy...
ReplyDeleteI don't know that I feel sorry for Katie. What's there to feel sorry for? She's an attractive, rich celeb with a healthy daughter getting a divorce. She made the choice to marry Tom.
ReplyDeleteI don't know. Maybe I'm too cynical.
I agree
DeleteI'm expecting to see "Run, Katie, Run!" T-shirts everywhere soon. And well she should.
ReplyDeleteKatie Holmes is pretty much the only celeb I've seen up close and personal. It was a couple of years ago at a fancy toy store in Stratford, Ontario. She was there with Suri and you could tell how much they adored each other. It was sweet, but sad at the same time when you consider that Suri (who was 4 at the time) was Katie's only friend. They were playing with the toys - Katie had a huge grin while she was showing Suri how to use a hula hoop. Despite all the people watching them (including her/Tom's staff), it was like she and Suri were in their own little bubble, sharing a moment just between them. I felt kind of bad when she was unknowingly blocking the door and I had to tap her on the shoulder and say "excuse me" before she apologized (very genuinely) and moved to the side.
ReplyDeleteI believe the marriage was a contract, but I believe the love Katie has for Suri is very real and she is doing all that she can to protect her daughter. I'm glad to see that she's not going quietly, because if she did, that would make it easier for COS to make her "disappear."
@Cathy, so nice to hear about a celeb who wasn't being bitchy (or feeling entitled to block the door). I always liked Katie Holmes before the Tom Cruise relationship and now I'm glad that she's not as Stepford as we thought.
ReplyDeleteShoot. "Disappear." I swear I knew how to spell that! :)
ReplyDeleteFrom Village Voice today :
ReplyDelete"Jason Beghe told us Sunday that he believes Kirstie Alley has "one foot out" herself. Travolta, meanwhile, no longer has a reputation to worry about in case he, too, wishes to leave."
http://blogs.villagevoice.com/runninscared/2012/05/scientology_lisa_marie_presley_new_zealand.php
@TV Junkie - just wanted to clarify that I didn't put it in quotes to correct your spelling or anything - in fact, I hadn't even seen your comment while I was writing mine. I just meant "disappear," as in, something much more ominous.
ReplyDeleteI'm almost afraid to post after yesterday....
ReplyDeleteAt any rate, this is truly creepy. I worked on the Fox lot while TC was filming War of the Worlds for a week and he put up a big, yellow Scientology tent where his workers were on hand to offer help to any crew with their issues. When I asked about what issues they were counseling, I was told smoking or drinking or anxiety.
I'm not sure if they were out-right proselytizing, but I did wonder why someone didn't complain (of course they would have to do it anonymously or they would never work again). If it wasn't an outright violation, it surely wreaked. What if the source of their anxiety was that big, yellow tent?
It's hard for me to believe that Katie's lawyers have not anticipated the Co$ involvement and Tom's deep pockets. It will be interesting to see if Tom can get this moved to CA. Katie has been in NYC a lot over the past couple of years, and if they own a place, it's going to be hard to contend that LA was their permanent address.
ReplyDeleteI agree that the paps maybe Katie's best ally in all this. It's going to get ugly there is no doubt, but Tom's lost a lot of popularity, and his going after the mother of his child will work against him IMO. That and Katie's constantly being photographed with her daughter, showing she is a involved mother, will complicate it even more.
and, even though its common knowledge that the CO$ harasses people and all of that, they still don't have to pay taxes.
ReplyDeleteThat is really creepy, Sis Cesspool!
ReplyDeleteWhat happened yesterday? I was offline.
@RenoBlondee, for me at least, it's because she seems so unaffected by her celeb status, down to earth and really sweet, and now realizes she got in way over her head and is faced with the daunting task of squaring off with both Tom and the cult of Scientology to get her life back.
ReplyDeleteThere's a lot to empathize with and root for there imo.
@TV Junkie, just go to read the comments in the latest Katie/Suri post before this one. Things got a little ugly.
ReplyDelete@Sis Cesspool - why would someone try to out you as Co$??
ReplyDeleteThanks, karen!
ReplyDeleteAlso think paps will be Katie's biggest ally. Divorce news will keep them earning but the big money will be the COS story. Those pics of COS stalkers might not be worth much now. They could be worth a years salary in the future.
ReplyDeleteGoogle 5 stages of mobbing for a good view of COS tactics.
Katie shouldn't worry about what they have on her either. She should be ready to confess all without shame. It's all nothing. She can live through this.
Cathy, that's a great story.
ReplyDeleteTom's $cienotents during WotW are well known. It was one of the problems Spielburg had with him.
Ahh....read all the comments from the other story. Wow. People sure get nasty about things that are totally out of our control, have no bearing on us, nor matter in our lives.
ReplyDeleteI don't care of Co$ people read or comment here. They are consistently called idiots & worse so more power to them.
@angel
ReplyDeleteWell, I definetly have some compassion from one woman to another for her for sure. I've been through a divorce as well and it sucks. I just can't quite feel "sorry" for her.
Go Team Katie!! I've never felt such a strong pull for the underdog in my life!
ReplyDeleteI didn't mean that, Cathy! I just caught it when I was rereading my comment. No worries!!
ReplyDeleteI think that Katie's fashion choices in the last 2 - 3 years, especially those booties we all hate, were definitely a message or a way of acting out or a way of controlling one small part of her life. Notice Suri always looked cute, but Katie wasn't playing her 'part' like the dutiful Stepford wife. Would not surprise me if she was somehow reading sites like this and loving all the comments about how terrible she looked.
ReplyDeleteAndrew Morton's article in the NY Post over the weekend was a bit enlightening. Katie crushed hard for Tom and may have gone into this contract under the haze of his spotlight, thankfully her father seems to have been involved from the beginning so there may be some protection for her.
It's not just the paps that might be her best friends in the next few months, but TMZ specifically. For some reason, I think Harvey Levin has a personal interest in this story and I think they will use their resources to follow the people that are following Katie and keep her 'protected' in some way.
Fingers crossed for her and Suri.
They ate doing thIs to make her look "unstable and unable" to provide a safe home for Suri. Y'all watch and see that this will be on one or more of the tabloids under the guise " Katie stressed and paranoid! Tom concerned for daughter". Run girl. Step up your security game and get the hell out of crazy town.
ReplyDeleteand by the way, all you people who think for some reason Suri is NOT his baby, your crazy! that child looks EXACTLY like him...
ReplyDeleteas fellow new yorker, leave our katie alone!!!!!!
ReplyDelete@RenoBlondee, I hear you. Forgot to mention, that having a young child on the precipice of either being submerged into Scientology or rescued from it makes Katie's divorce saga especially compelling for me.
ReplyDelete@angel
ReplyDeleteI hear you too. :) I agree about the scientology part. I wouldn't wish those people on my worst enemy.
Enty, we are doing our part to help.
ReplyDelete"The average person who has no idea about the crap that Scientology pulls are going to be very enlightened"
Even Murdoch found that out yesterday after he tweeted about Co$. "Watch Katie Holmes and Scientology story develop. Something creepy, maybe even evil, about these people"
Then he got his Co$ attack:
"Since Scientology tweet hundreds of attacks. Expect they will increase and get worse and maybe threatening."Still stick to my story," he added.
Please, Murdoch "Go with Greta" (Van Sustern) and get the story from her. Now, that would be really interesting (She and her spouse are / were Co$ members) !
Reacher B
ReplyDeleteSuri also looks a lot like chris klein and josh hartnett who in my opinion look a bit like tom. (but taller)
and Katie does have the same look as Tom, Josh, and Chris so when she had Suri, it could be quite easy to hide who the real father was becuase they all have similar features.
@FS- ooh, I love your bootie theory - love it! Maybe Tom told her once that he hated them, so she stuck it to him by getting papped in them repeatedly!
ReplyDeleteThat's the story I'm going with, anyway.
@TV Junkie and Salsa Lover:
ReplyDeleteI was "outed" because I voiced my opinion about the homophobic and racists remarks on this site. (John and Tom are Gay! Kim likes black dick! Who cares?)
On one hand it's hilarious to me, it shows where some people come from, but on the other hand it's not, because a lot of people lost their livelihoods on blanket and ignorant accusations. Dalton Trumbo, HUAC ring a bell?
So, if you want to be homophobic and racist, I'll be an unforgivable cunt to remind you of that fact.
P.S. If you haven't had black dick, you don't know what you're missing....
Tom C. can't have children; said so himself. As much as he freaks me out, I think he's good-looking for a midget; Suri looks nothing like him.
ReplyDeleteOTOH, I don't feel sorry for KH.
What I think happened is Tom didn't get much press for his latest wretched movie and they had to kick up some press. Soon TC will swoop in to "save the day" (ie, "reason" with KH). Some will argue KH was "re-programmed"; others will say she came to her senses and did it for Suri. (Or, laughably, really loves TC and isn't it romantic). —Everything about this reads publicity stunt.
They're making these idiot RL stories (Cruise; Brangelina; Britney; etc) a new entertainment vehicle — better "reality" than reality TV. I'll be the first to admit it's interesting and addicting, LOL, but imo it's no more real than Grey's Anatomy.
For once and just this once I hope the paps keep Katie and Suri in their Lens'. It may be the ONLY protection she has!
ReplyDeleteDear Katie,
ReplyDeleteWhen trying to avoid someone it is a must to live in a building with multi entrances and exits...also stay with friends....trade apts for a bit...always travel with a friend...
Be careful...
Just live in a bldg w/security and tons of cameras. I vote for fewer doors, less ways of disappearing, should someone want me to...lol
DeleteI haven't had a chance to read the articles today, but I think someone mentioned NYPD police clothes in one of the cars - or did I dream it...poor Tom, this milestone bday of his is going to stink this year!!
ReplyDeleteSis Cesspool, I went back and commented once more. I don't think people mean any harm at times, they just get very involved in certain subjects. Now I need to go post in another thread, don't want to get labeled...sorry, couldn't resist.
I will say this, I have never had CO$ shoved down my throat. I used to always want to visit the center, because I am very set in my core beliefs and if someone tried to sway me when I was younger, I would have gone off on them. Haven't read the other articles yet, because it is a pain to cut and paste w/an iPhone, and both my apple and pc are non-functional at the moment, but one day I will...
ReacherB ugh I totally agree. She looks exactly like Tom. I love a good celebrity conspiracy theory, but imo the one about Suri not being Tom's is the stupidest one. Maybe, MAYBE, if we are desperately trying to pin her paternity on someone else, I could buy the Tom's cousin theory, but I do think Suri is Tom's. I know people are constantly going on and on about his sterility, but come on, people. How are you SO SURE he is sterile? "Mimi Rogers said it!" Ok...link the interview. "Tom himself said it!" Ok...link the interview.
ReplyDeleteIt's like someone saw someone's comment online who saw someone else's comment online who saw another person's comment that called Tom sterile and it snowballed from there.
Anyway. Rant over. I just get so sick of the paternity argument.
I have this romantic fantasy that Tom will publicly turn his back on CO$ and reconcile with katie and become an actual human being
ReplyDeleteI would like a "Run Katie Run" T-shirt please................I hope she stays in the public eye, and speaks out as often as she can......Let the PAPS out the cos following her....Let them help in protecting her................ I don't think this is a publicity stunt at all. Please....She needs protection from the cos monsters, and they are monsters!! ..............Hoping she becomes Stronger, and Stronger through all this garbage!!
ReplyDelete@Sis Cesspool. hahahahahahahaha to your P.S. (don't worry... been there, done that).
ReplyDeleteI was just reading a bunch of things at http://www.exscientologykids.com - wow. I haven't never known that much about Co$ except that they are a brainwashing cult. The stories there are amazing and eye-opening. No wonder Katie doesn't want Suri there. She may never see her again if she allowed that.
ReplyDeleteSeaward,
ReplyDeleteI am with you guys on this. when I see Sure I see Tom in "The Outsiders." She looks exactly like him.
I am torn on whether or not to feel sorry for Katie. She is definitely doing the right thing. She did know what she was getting into, but to what extent? I know all too well what it's like to get swept away when you meet "The Man of Your Dreams" and suddenly your world revolves around him. And I know what it's like to wake up one day and realize you don't even like this guy and decide you've had enough.
I can't imagine being 20 something and having one of the most famous men in the world courting me.
I have no doubt in my mind tha TC is coo coo for cocoa puffs but isn't he also supposed to be the nicest guy in Hollywood ? And if Nicole Kidman is as mean and awful as I've read here, what does that make tom? Is he nice or is everything an act for his image. This is all very strange but I have to admit its one of the better gossip stories in the last 5 years. Ha I guess since tomkat got together then.
ReplyDeleteKatie is going for full custody. That says it all right there. She's scared of these people and Tom...I'm scared for her. I don't think Tom's angry about the divorce, because their contract expired anyway, but I think he wants Suri, so he can raise her as a Scientologist. If he tries to kidnap Suri, everyone is going to know who did it. Tom will never work again. He'd be a fool, as would the head of Scientology.
ReplyDeleteNew Village Voice update (quoting Marty Rathburn):
ReplyDelete"When we were handling the Nicole divorce, she started to raise the specter of wanting the kids more than half the time. She hinted through her attorney that Scientology was going to be an issue. So we went in hard. 'Go ahead, bring it,' we said. And she backed off," Rathbun says."Tom may think he can do that now, and if he does, he's had it. Because 2012 is not 2001. The landscape has changed drastically."
@Sis cesspool - why was this tent allowed? Would Catholics, or Jews, or Muslims get the same opportunity? I think not. Co$ must have some blackmail on some people way high in the Hollywood food chain.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to volunteer for a 4 hour shift of Katie/Suri protection, proudly wearing my Run Katie Run tshirt and a beret of whatever color.
ReplyDeleteAnyone with me?
@Vicki, Enty wrote a good blog about Suri's 6th BD, remember this ? (Interesting to read the comments as well)
ReplyDeletehttp://www.crazydaysandnights.net/2012/04/suri-cruise-is-6.html
I have a new-found sympathy and respect for Nicole K. It must have been horrible what she went through as well - essentially giving up her children.
ReplyDeleteBTW - my sis-in-law was in a horrible marriage/messy divorce, and after so many court battles and visitation battles, she too gave up her kids (long story) but now has a great husband and 2 other kids.
RUN KATIE RUN!!
I think Lainey's site is under attack. In the past 90 minutes, the main page of the site takes forever to load, and when it does, the articles for Katie load blank... all symptoms of a site under attack.
ReplyDeleteThat's creepy.
ReplyDeleteSis Cespool: "I'm not sure if they were out-right proselytizing"
ReplyDeleteI am sure of it. What they do is try EVERYTHING to convince you that you NEED them to fix your problems. Just write the check and they will fix you. I have experienced it first hand and they are CRAZY and won't stop when you so no thanks!
IF B.Profane comes around, check out the link. One of the best lines was from you:
ReplyDelete"You can smell the self- righteousness"
@luckylass, you really are a lucky girl. Like I said, I didn't stick around to find out. I found the entire thing off-putting. I wouldn't want a priest on set pitching a tent, nor a rabbi for that matter. Religious/lifestyle choices shouldn't be near work. I'll have to find out if any of the unions have an official stance on this.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds less like a divorce and more like and escape.
ReplyDeleteLainey's site is back up and running. I found her insights very interesting.
ReplyDeleteCathy:
That was a nice story, thanks for sharing it with us. It kind of ties in with what Lainey says was witnessed on Wednesday in NY at a Whole Food store. I don't hold any animosity to Katie - I just hope she and Suri will be ok.
RenoBlondee:
I feel sorry for Katie because I think she genuinely didn't know the extent of what she's getting herself into. I think another poster phrased it well when they compared it to be interviewed for a job and the job turning out to be quite different to what you were led to believe. I've had that experience a couple of times, so can totally relate.
In divorcing Tom and seeking sole custody of Suri, she's challenging the Scientology movement as well as drawing lots of attention to its dubious dealings. They're not going to thank her for that. As you're probably aware, they don't take kindly to being disobeyed, questioned or investigated. Apart from what Enty's said, there's lots of other evidence to support this, from sources such as Anonymous.
At some point, media interest will die down and that's when she'll be at her most vulnerable. What's she doing could effectively bring Xenu down; they've punished people a lot more for a lot less. She'll have to spend the rest of her life, looking over her shoulder.
Okay, here's what you do, Katie. Slip into a theater playing "Rock of Ages." Believe me, nobody will find you there. You'll be completely alone.
ReplyDeleteIts funny that they sell themselves as a religion. When I dealt with them, they stated firmly that they were not a religion. I could go on being Catholic and still be a member (as long as I paid, of course).
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, I am a lucky girl. It was my boyfriend at the time (who they deemed a suppressive person) that literally pulled me out of there. They were not going to let me go and did hold me against my will.
@SusanB - Sorry, honey, I just saw your post. Why was the tent allowed? Because TC wanted it, I presume. I have the same thoughts you have, and I'm Catholic (with Jewish & Muslim relatives - I know its sounds cuckoo but we all love each other), but I wouldn't want to see a priest on set just for the sake of being there. I don't think any religion should be allowed to do that, and as I said above, I'm curious if any of the unions have an official stance on this.
ReplyDeleteThe problem is, you have to file a complaint, and who is going to going to do that? They won't work anymore. So that makes this whole thing even more repellent, because now TC is pretty much forcing their presence on you.
@ Roxxx - yes, I just learned the site is running again. And she too posted about the 'coincidence' of posting a lot about scientology and her site going down...
ReplyDeleteAs a lot of you know Hollywood is notoriously abusive, so it's probably easy to ignore a yellow tent in the scheme of things.
ReplyDeletehmmm...this might be a BRILLIANT legal tactic on Katie and her dad's part - go public with fear for her life and her child's welfare- she might just take EVERYTHING she wants - knowing public opinion re: COS.
ReplyDeleteAm I the only one concerned about Steppy? There's been no sign of her since this story broke. Its plausible Steppy (and her co-intel counterparts) are being blamed for this PR DEBACLE. Poor Steppy. I can picture her now, deep in the bowels of The Celebrity Center with a bucket on her head..
ReplyDeleteShe absolutely NEEDS to be papped every second of the day, every single day. This will ensure that nothing can/will happen to her or Suri.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, I agree with whoever said that TMZ will be her biggest alli, alotn with all the other paps.
Hell, if she wants to disappear for a while without having the CoS come after her, she can call me and I will get my dad to drive us over to NYC and pick her up, bring her to Michigan, and enroll Suri in the school across the street from us. We can do this in the middle of the night, or in broad daylight, we can figure out a way to get them here safe.
Also...isn't Katie constantly being papped with Suri good for her case for full custody?
ReplyDeleteRegarding the Scientology tent during the WOTW shoot I heard it was allowed as long as Tom didn't use it for actual recruitment. Is this correct Sis?
ReplyDeleteSis Cesspool
ReplyDeleteThe commenters here are a great bunch of people of similar mind. Yes there are differing opinions but there is a feel and flow here like no other. If you feel very strongly for an opposing view the best move is to head over to another blog where there are more like minded people and stop back to discuss the things we do agree on. Bringing up old arguments from yesterday serve no purpose other than to start the same argument over, with the same results. In general, the bickering here is kept to a minimum.
However, as many can tell you, we are also a very forgiving lot and should you chose to let bygones be bygones most will be glad to do so as well.
Anonymous has already pledged their allegiance and protection to Katie and Suri. They're going to need it.
ReplyDelete@ghost, your info yesterday was very informative:)
ReplyDelete@ghost
ReplyDeleteHow can I find more info on anonymous? a website or something?
And anonymous can be really helpful in thwarting CoS activities.
@Kelgela, if I may. Xenu.net is probably the most comprehensive website about Co$.
ReplyDelete@Anotheramy - Oh, thank you so much for thinking about me. I'll make sure I make underhanded insults instead. Just to let you know, I've been visiting and commenting on this site for over three years now, so if you don't like what I write, then don't read it. Or go start your own blog.
ReplyDelete@JasonBlueEyes - that was probably what was said, but it's pretty hard to ignore the intent - and that tent.
Did sis cesspool really bring up black dick in an effort to change the subject? What step is that in the CO$ Handbook? Must be in the chapter John Travolta wrote...
ReplyDeleteLOLOL!! What are you 12?
ReplyDelete@ kelgela - you might want to also checkout Village Voice for lengthy background information on Co$. Tony Ortega has been covering this for years.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.villagevoice.com/authors/tony-ortega/
I was quoted where?
ReplyDeleteEnty posting a fourth entry about the divorce in four days, this one even more accusing, says it all, I think.
@Agent**It:
ReplyDeleteThank you :) Having personally seen and experienced the absolute hell that is Co$ as well as what they put people through, I am always more than happy to share as much info about them as possible. Watching the organization crumble is definitely something I am passionate about.
@kelgela:
Yes, xenu.net is a wonderful place to start. You can also check out torymagoo.org. Tory Christman fought to break free from Scientology after 30 years in, and she is one of the most vocal sources of all things about how evil and corrupt they are, along with Mike Rinder and Marty Rathbun just to name a few.
Exscientologykids.com is also an excellent site and it was created by David Miscavige's niece Jenna who literally fled Co$ after being imprisoned with them for over a decade. You can also google Project Chanology as well. If there is anything else that you are curious about, feel free to ask me and I will more than happily answer, and if I can't answer directly then I can point you in the direction of those who can :)
Item on the "front page" of MSNBC about Murdoch calling Scientology "creepy." Interesting, given how rarely mainstream media reports negatively about COS.
ReplyDeleteThey're done, absolutely done, ding dong their done, this is going to be the biggest story of the year, how corrupt, evil and torturing Church of cash is. Look at Rupert Murdoch's tweets, if the owner of all media hates you and says your evil you don't think that story line is going to make it into mainstream news? This is gonna be good! All the dirt is going to come out, they are on their way out for sure. Watch Priscilla go on prime time talk shows and tearfully declare how much sheand her family's suffered, trying to switch the focus to her. This is gonna be soo soooo good!
ReplyDeleteThank you! A couple of months ago, I stumbled upon a website, I think it was one of these you mentioned. I was reading stories from ex-scientologists, and omg, I could not believe it.
ReplyDeleteOh ho, Murdoch is putting his media where his mouth is. This is a straight-out hit piece:
ReplyDeletehttp://www.nypost.com/p/news/national/holmes_feared_lose_lose_suri_feared_xYbR9P7F18IPtxr2N4e0VO
(Isn't there an HTML tag for making URL's clickable?)
@Agent**it - thank you for the VV link. Like I said, I know nothing about COS other than what I have read here. In my mind, it always seemed like yet another fad people in LA join to get somewhere.
ReplyDelete@B.Profane - That's what I've been wondering all morning. Why would Murdoch even comment on something like that? Why is he suddenly being public about his opinions? Odd behavior indeed.
@Agent**it & B. Profane - I apologize if I offended you yesterday.
@Sis--Let's let it ride, eh? I also remember the reports about the big COS tent on that set. Did you hear any rumors about what Spielberg thought of it? That was big question at the time, wondering why Steamin' Steve would let Tom do that on his set.
ReplyDeleteI think Murdoch may be doing it to take heat off himself re. the cell phone hacking scandal in the UK.
@Sis:
ReplyDeleteLikewise, I apologize if I flew off the handle and accused you of being Co$ last night. I tend to get pretty worked up over the topic and emotions can cloud one's better judgment.
I think Murdoch is defeinitely trying to deflect from his own problems, but his statements are going to pack quite a punch to Co$.
@B. Profane - No mention of rumors from set, but believe me, the office was talking about it. I worked in feature film - which is worlds away from corporate - and everyone was wondering what SS thought. He must have been cool with it, because it happened.
ReplyDeleteI just got a text from a friend over at Paramount and they don't even want to discuss TC over their servers. Can you imagine? As she just said, as long as Tom makes money, Tom gets to do what Tom wants to do. Bottom line.
Murdoch must be slipping. That issue left the news cycle ages ago.
@ Trébuchet - when did Tom say he couldn't have kids? I'm one of those who believes that Suri is Tom's daughter even if he did wank into a cup.
ReplyDeleteKatie might have the NY apartment but I'm sure it's bugged and her trash is being thoroughly picked over. I wouldn't be surprised if her father's office is bugged.
@ghost - awwww, honey... I've been following your posts and I can tell this subject upsets you. I'm sorry. I hope you don't have any friends or relatives involved in COS. After what I just read in the VV, it sounds horrible.
ReplyDeleteThank GOD I had stern, strict and stubborn Scottish grandparents from Nova Scotia. LOL!
I worked on the Fox lot while TC was filming War of the Worlds for a week and he put up a big, yellow Scientology tent...
ReplyDeleteas long as Tom makes money, Tom gets to do what Tom wants to do. Bottom line.
Russell Brand was on Graham Norton talking about Rock of Ages and said that Tom Cruise had a whim to put a baboon in the movie, so they put a friggin' baboon in the movie. Anyone else would have been told to go piss up a rope. Not Tom. Tom Cruise wants a baboon, Tom Cruise gets a baboon. Pure power play.
@B.Profane, it was within your "comment" on that post.
ReplyDeleteLeft you and @Ghost a note on another blog. I'll repeat it here.Direct from Tony Ortega : He says the quickest way to swat away attacks is simply to say:
" Where's Shelly"
@Sis-
ReplyDeleteThanks. My family is all free of them now, thankfully. It took a long time and will take even more time for the damage done to be completely repaired, but I'm grateful regardless!
I did have a friend who still was involved and worked for their Office of Public Affairs at their Flag base in Clearwater, whom I attempted to contact a few months ago. They claimed that she did not work there and that no one by her name had ever worked there. They acted as though she never existed. So another mutual friend with no ties to CoS also tried to contact her, and could not find a single trace of her existence in Clearwater, FL, despite our friend having lived there for close to 15 years. I couldn't believe it.
Maybe they figured out who I was and wouldn't allow either of us speak to her, since I'm an SP, but at the same time I can't help but wonder if something awful happened to her. It sends chills up my spine when I think about it.
i feel sick thinking about katie. the whole divorce thing and custody battle is emotionally exhausting. my ex is also a control freak who tries to force religion on the kids, and follows us. but he's not powerful, connected or rich. im actually scared for her.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of Clearwater, I hope you're far away from that neck of FL, Agent**It.
ReplyDeleteThe Post piece says that the cops sent to check out the lurking white Escalade didn't question the occupants, even though a couple appeared to be armed. That has to be a fluke. If it appears that COS goons are running around Manhattan armed, NYPD is gonna go ape on their asses.
She needs to find a new place to live (yes, the apartment is probably bugged) but Katie made a smart choice in picking Manhattan as her home turf for the fight. A police force that is substantially Catholic, a legal system that is largely Jewish, gobs of media unlikely to be intimidated by COS and a populace notoriously hostile to auslander bullshit...what's not to like?
@ghost. Wow, you really do know people involved, and what you are telling me is incredibly scary stuff. Isn't that kidnapping? How do they get away with it? Why aren't they held accountable? I am really sorry you have to go through this.
ReplyDeleteI'm also sorry to sound so pathetically naive, but like I said, I couldn't have cared less about them. Like EST and Landmark, I viewed them as some kooky fad, and if that's how people wanted to conduct their lives, then so be it.
Anyway, I'm going back to the VV to get some more back story.
Rupert Murdoch's wife Wendi is good friends with Nicole Kidman. That might partially explain his hit pieces.
ReplyDelete"A police force that is substantially Catholic, a legal system that is largely Jewish, gobs of media unlikely to be intimidated by COS and a populace notoriously hostile to auslander bullshit...what's not to like?"
ReplyDeleteLOL!!!!!!!!!!! Works for me! I'll take that bet any day.
Yep... my father was in the cult for over half of my life.
ReplyDeleteThe reason they get away with so much stuff is because of the incredibley tight reins they keep on their brainwashed members... if they even suspect one iota of a member's allegiance waivering, they bring on the security checks.
Another reason they get away with so much? A good portion of the vast sums of cash that gets brought in goes to the vast army of attorneys- literally, the CoS has a fucking army of lawyer. They have no qualms about financially bringing about the ruination of detractors. This is part of what they call "fair game" and "black pr".
They find the most obscure legal loopholes and exploit them. Look into ther Lisa McPherson case if you aren't familiar with it- she was essentially kidnapped and died at the hands of the "church".
@Jason Blue Eyes - That's a really good theory, but we're talking about a man who wiped out Fleet St....
ReplyDeleteMaybe Wendy hacked into his Twitter while he was having a morning constitutional? lol I have no idea, it's just odd that he would open his mouth now when common sense dictates that he keeps it shut.
@Mango - See! People in Hollywood will pull out their grandmother's teeth if it got them what they wanted. Where do you think Cesspool comes from? It's my response to years of working in Hollywood.
They also utilize their vast funds for political gain and protection. I cannot speak to the extent of other cities where the CoS is present, but in Clearwater they have many police and elected officials on their payroll.
ReplyDelete@Jason and @Sis (minus the cesspool part ?:)
ReplyDeleteMaybe Murdoch wants Greta Van Sustern to quit (his 10PM anchor). She and her spouse are listed as Co$.
This divorce is on my wish list of celebrity drama, just behind Blohan being institutionalized and the Hiltons going broke.
ReplyDeleteHow cos gets away with this cult shit is beyond me. How are they not investigated? What kind of person gives up their free will, and their children(!) for these asswipes?? Then when they want to leave, they tell them they signed billion tear contract! Just say bullshit, and leave!! So what if they declare you a supressive person, or any iother made up bullshit!!?? Join us here in the real world.
ReplyDeleteHey!! I got it!!!!! Send alec baldwin over to katies apt to deal with cos spies!!!! Two birds, one stone !!!!
ReplyDeleteexscientologykids.com is SO heartbreaking. But seeing as they're children who have defected, there is a happy ending essentially. I think it is probably the best site to go learn the actual effect it has on people and how it has successfully ruined a lot of people's lives (not even regarding money or safety but mental health and well being). It is AWFUL.
ReplyDelete@ghost - I don't even know what to say, only that I hope you keep posting your story so people like myself finally "get" what's going on.
ReplyDelete@auntliddy - I would PAY big money to see AB do that.
The Post updated their front page piece on the divorce an hour ago. It's "front page" on the Daily News and Newsday sites as well. Heh. COS cannot intimidate the New York media.
ReplyDeleteSee, I'm open to the idea that this "surprise divorce" might just be a clever cover to an already negotiated split, but it seems like the real deal. COS is getting hammered in the press already, and it's just Monday.
On an Aussie radio show this morning it was reported that Katie has been planning this for 18 months. Tom wanted to put Katie into Sea Org school - on a boat without parents in order to be 'educated'. Katie wanted Suri schooled in a normal school. Katie is firing all her staff so she can clear her life of Scientologists. I too worry for her well being. Hopefully Nicole will get to see her children eventually if this does bring down the church.
ReplyDeleteHuh, that's weird. My comment about Congress revisiting CO$ tax exempt status was deleted, and not by me. How'd that happen?
ReplyDeleteThe last time their tax exempt status was seriously questioned, scientologists went to legislators' houses and killed their pets. Literally. I am not making this up.
DeleteI can't link you to anything from my phone, but google Operation Snow White to see just a small bit of their infiltration. Scary stuff.

ReplyDeleteNY Post article (right-click and open in new tab or window)
ReplyDelete@B, I linked it and the html code is pretty simple but I don't think I can write it here because it will convert. If you even see this or care at this point :)
Oh, I will without a doubt keep posting the truth about CoS as much as I humanly can :) Hell if anything, all the deservedly negative press they've been catching lately just fuels my fire and makes me less afraid, lol
ReplyDeleteOn a similar note, I'm loving that the K-family who shall not be named is bumped out of the media (for now anyway) due to all of the Tom, Katie, and CoS press right now. It's a rather blissful side effect.
@ghost - Amen to that. I absolutely can't stand that clan. Absolutely. Can. Not. Stand. Them. I find them ignorant, needy and pathetic - and that's just not where I come from so I don't get it.
ReplyDeleteHowever, judgement on certain things I do find offense. We've gone over this already and I expressed my opinion, so there is no sense in doing it again.
I need to go start my vacation already. LOL!! Scottish skin is the worst.....
Oh, absolutely! Layer on that sunscreen, the UV index has been killer lately, lol. I'm Irish and Italian-Korean, so I burn first and tan after. I feel your pain.
ReplyDeleteAgreed on the bit about certain judgments by others, but at the same time I guess that is the price we pay for free speech. I think I've mentioned previously that I identify as a lesbian, and with my mixed racial background I've heard it all... it takes a lot to affect me anymore, but I totally understand what you mean. :)
"Tom wanted to put Katie into Sea Org school - on a boat without parents in order to be 'educated'. Katie wanted Suri schooled in a normal school."
ReplyDeleteI assume that that ship was the Fairwinds or Freewinds. It has been attested by multiple witnesses that offending COS members on those ships were pitched overboard or imprisoned in the chain locker as punishment. Ammunition for the custody fight, I should think.
@ghost - I went with a guy from the Kennedy School who is Korean and Irish. Loved him, but Hollywood came knocking so I gave up quite a comfortable life for a life of debauchery and uselessness. Ahhh, youth...
ReplyDeleteMy favorite person in the world is my 70-year-old aunt who is a lesbian with four biological kids, smokes weed, and plays video games. How can you NOT love that? She does and says what the fuck she wants and I will always bow to her for it. (She's also Scot-Can, so she demands it. LOL!)
I'm glad to hear that you're committed.
cheers, my dear.
One more thing. I think it was my Aunt's coming out in the 80s that made me become a gay advocate. My Aunt went through H-E-L-L. NO ONE in my family wanted to have anything to do with her. As a result of her decision to come out (actually she was outed by a lover) she was left penniless and homeless. My mother brought her in. It was then that I learned the heartbreak of what she was going through. Tears for days. Back then, it was a death sentence, and it was then that I decided that NO ONE should suffer this ridiculous humiliation because of someone else's label or construct.
ReplyDeleteNow you know why I'm a bit vociferate about the gay slamming. It's very, very hurtful. AC coming out made me so happy, despite the obviousness. To me, he now represents a point in time that your sexuality should not matter.
I just saw some new pics of Katie and she is styling. She looks fresh and glamourous, I agree we won't be seeing those brown suede booties again, she has probably already called up Victoria, got a whole new wardrobe.
ReplyDeleteJust had to share this photo of Tom. Creepy doesn't begin to describe it:
ReplyDeletehttp://www.theshallowminded.com/images/wpThumbnails/tom%20cruise%20creepy.jpg
I can definitely understand your disdain for the gay bashing- I feel the same way. Most people nowadays are intelligent enough that they realize the personal preferences of another person do not personally have any effect on them. Sadly, the type of narrow-minded people who concern themselves with the personal love lives of others are often already set in their ways and refuse to see things from a different point of view. I just ignore people like that an pity them- if I can't change another, then I'll invest my time and efforts into making a better me :)
ReplyDeleteI want to comment on B Profanes belief that the divorce is carefully orchestrated.
ReplyDeleteI've felt the same way. Ive even been fairly certain that their relationship ended 3 years ago when she went to NYC to work on Broadway.
Very little has been said by either of them.
Tom has said he is blind sided by this. He pledges to keep it civil and in the best interest of Suri. She filed for divorce and said she was being watched.
There seemed to be a trend of once monthly photo op with extras thrown in as needed, like when split rumors hit last winter. I believe with their handlers and PR people at the helm, this very well could be orchestrated.
Re the Australian connection and Murdoch's tweeting of the evil, it is interesting to note that the other Great Australian Media family scion, Jamie Packer, was getting drawn into Scientology a few years ago. Have no idea what happened but it is interesting to note and to connect some dots that the Village Voice points to.
ReplyDeleteWhoever posted those Village Voice links yesterday, you are a genius.
Run, Katie, Run.
At first I also thought it was all orchestrated. But now I'm confused. Would Tom allow an orchestrated break up to make him look bad in any way? I guess it could be that it's orchestrated, but they can't control the media swirling around the events, so there have been some unintended consequences.
ReplyDeleteAs much as I would like to think that this was all orchestrated, the fallout from it is making both Tom and the CoS look really, really, really bad. Both are known hardcore image-control freaks, and I just find it hard to believe that either would be willingly complicit in something as devastating to their image as this. I can't find one story, report, anything in which Tom or the CoS is being painted in a positive light, and neither has done much if any damage control. They were definitely not expecting it and thrown for quite a loop when Katie filed.
ReplyDeleteInteresting - Nightline just opened their show with a bit on Tom/Katie & Scientology. Just caught the last few minutes. Wasn't the most flattering piece for COS.
ReplyDeleteIndeed. Except for the NKVD during the 30's, no foreign government, let alone a hostile domestic group, has placed as many spies in the US Government as Scientology did during Operation Snow White.
ReplyDeleteB. Profane-
ReplyDeleteJust out of curiousity, have you ever read the case file for Operation Snow White? (493 F.Supp 209) Holy crap, I thought I was pretty well versed in it, however I'm logged into Westlaw right now reading it and I cannot believe the actual details of it. They seem to have gotten off pretty easily, given the scope of things.
What I do not understand is this:
ReplyDelete"Operation Snow White" and the resulting "Operation Freak Out" occurred in the 70's. But the IRS then recognized Scientology as a religion in 1993? I'm looking to learn more about that aspect.
