Jennifer Morrison Finally Finds A New Guy
After being treated like crap by Amaury Nolasco for years, Jennifer Morrison had finally managed to move past all that and find a relationship with someone who will actually respect her and not cheat on her every five seconds. Apparently Jennifer is dating her Once Upon A Time co-star Sebastian Stan. I have to admit that I am kind of biased when it comes to Jennifer and think she is really nice and always amazing so I want the best for her and she was always in pain when she was with Amaury.
Bucky Barnes!! Hope he's in the next captain america!
ReplyDeleteThe Mad Hatter...sweet
ReplyDeleteMaybe I just think this because of the roles they each play, but it seems like he would spend about 10 times as long doing his hair than she would spend doing hers. Not sure I could date a guy that spends more time on his hair than I spend on mine.
ReplyDeleteI've always liked her, even in HIMYM - I know her character wasn't popular but I just liked her :)
ReplyDeleteGlad to see she's moving on.
Love Once Upon a Time. I miss it.
ReplyDeleteOh, and @rejectedcarebear, I hope so too, especially as it seems they are going for the Winter Solider storyline for the next movie. That's a helluva meaty plot to sink his teeth into!
ReplyDeleteI can't keep track of all the Jennifers and Jessicas
ReplyDeleteOh my heck, the horror I've seen Puerto Ricans go through with white boyfriends or girlfriends! I can't automatically blame Amaury in this. Who knows how many "We need to express our feelings authentically" or "I need my space right now" moments he had to go through. My partner had to sit down a Mexican friend of ours the other day, after she spent two days crying because of her lousy marriage, and he said to her, "You saw the blond hair, and the blue eyes, and the delicate features, and you had your American dream. And now you're at wit's end, wondering what to do. You're gonna have to face up to it, you married a white person." Trust me, a Puerto Rican tough guy is going to suffer immensely with a sensitive, heartfelt, delicate, tender young Anglo actress. I'm surprised he hasn't hooked up with a turboho like Katie Cleary.
ReplyDeleteI have nothing against white people. I myself am Norwegian. I'm wondering if I should delete that post, in case it inflames people's anger. (My sense of humor has an evil streak in it sometimes.)
ReplyDeleteBarton - don't delete your post. This is CDAN. We say stuff here. That's how it works. I agree with what you're saying. I've worked with many people in multicultural relationships. It's never simple.
DeleteI try to go withe twice the holidays, twice the fun route! Hope everyone had a fun Bastile Day!!
@Barton Fink
ReplyDeleteI don't know what you are talking about, but it sounds fasinating.
I don't know who these people are, but this sounds like an answer to a blind.
@Barton. I am confused too. I think I know what you're trying to say though.
ReplyDeleteIt DOES sound like an answer to a blind, @Henriette!
ReplyDeleteYou do have a point @Barton Fink. While I get that you're painting with a broad brush for humorous effect, the underlying cultural differences could make mutual understanding hard.
Sure, plenty of couples from different cultures do just fine. But after dating a number of foreign guys (I'm also a Norwegian and love those swarthier guys! ha) I decided never to marry someone who doesn't speak English as his native language BECAUSE I noted that even if you speak each other's language, you don't have the same emotional reaction to words in a language not your own; therefore, I found our emotions not to be in sync. Just my experience.
Props, very astute observation!!
DeleteBucky Barnes! Mad Hatter!
ReplyDeleteGood choice Jennifer! You deserve some happiness with that Romanian charmer!!!
@Barton, I see what you're saying. It's like a culture clash. I've had 2 friends and 1 family member get involved with men from the Middle East. Not to say all Middle Eastern men cheat, but all these guys did and...I don't know. It's hard to hold it against them when there are multiple wives per each man where they grew up. It's just what they knew. One of my other friends just laughed when she found out, saying "Well what did you expect?"
ReplyDeleteWho, who, and who?
ReplyDeleteLordy, please tell me these are C or D list people, otherwise I'm really embarrassed at my ignorance considering I've been reading gossip pages every day for at least ten years.
Even googling them doesn't ring any bells.
Ooooh!! The mad hatter!! You go Jeeeeen!!
ReplyDeleteSteaming hot!!! Wow!!!
I've been with a Panamanian for over five years now, and we've learned to laugh about it. But, man, a tough guy from Central America or the Caribbean doesn't know what they're getting into when they date Ken or Barbie.
ReplyDeleteLove Once Upon a Time and they had such chemistry in their episode together. He is a cutie nice catch Jen! Diana Agron eat your heart out.
ReplyDeleteOh my, he's hot. I was drooling on him in Gossip Girl and so excited to see his tortured character in Once Upon a Time. Go, Jennifer!
ReplyDeleteI like them together. SS was great in Kings, and I liked him on Gossip Girl.
ReplyDeleteI do wish JM would darken her hair a bit. That light blond isn't very flattering.
Love is a many splendored thing
ReplyDeleteI'm with you girls upthread - there is a blind here somewhere
ReplyDeleteRegarding the cultural differences - uh, yeah. I was very involved with a Danish guy from Copenhagen that I met in Bali. It was all so romantic, and we would meet up around the world until I went to visit him in Denmark for 3 weeks to meet his friends and family. Holy cow. I think his friends thought I was obnoxious for talking louder than a whisper in public, and I constantly felt like I was on the defensive because of how blunt they were about everything. I don't think there was anything wrong with them or me, but it was glaringly obvious how different we were culturally
@Rose - I HATED her blonde hair when she first did it when she was still on "House." Then it really grew on me, and I kind of like it. Same with the actress who plays Kim on "Drop Dead Diva."
ReplyDeleteI STILL wanna know what happened between her and Jesse...
WOW I didn't realize the inter racial dating was still at this day what people first point out is wrong in a relationship when one fails. Enty obviously says JM's man was an ass to her. That's the first thing I see not his last name as the problem.
ReplyDelete@MissyGQ No one is saying he wasn't an ass, just that cultural differences may have been a contributing factor.
ReplyDelete@Missy GQ
ReplyDeleteI think what @Barton Fink was saying up above (and what I was addressing) is that Americans (no matter the "race"( are particularly oversensitive and often get their feathers ruffled by other cultures because they are more direct. For example, an old friend of mine is an Australian that lives here now. She's funny as hell, but she will take the piss out of you. For example, I am on my THIRD marriage and I'm 39. I try to pretend my second marriage to the Dane didn't happen because it lasted 6 months, but whatever. She calls me Ross (from Friends). It used to hurt my feelings but now I think it's hilarious. There! Now you guys know a little more about my crazy checkered past!!
Sorry for the run-on sentences. I didn't proofread that one :)
ReplyDeleteLOL @ Sunny! I have a big f'in mouth too. That's why I can't shut up here. I gotsta participate! I would be in big trouble in that situation too.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was in my early twenties I went to Japan with my mom for a work conference. I know I was such an embarrassment bc I'm loud and bossy and wouldn't follow the tour bus rules. The tour guide publicly scolded her several times. Ooops!

ReplyDelete@sunny (aka Ross) I hope what I said makes sense bc I didn't read to the end, just to the non-whisper part. I'm also impulsive if you didn't notice.
ReplyDeleteI wish American's were more blunt too. I think what's missing is that most of the bluntness comes with some self-deprecating humor. I bet your Aussie friend can have the piss taken out of her too (that prob the wrong phrasing, help out the Yank). That's why I love watching British humor. The ribbing!
I love Morrison too.
ReplyDeleteAny chance she is the answer to yesterday's blind?
@dia
ReplyDeleteThe crazy thing is that I was on my best behavior!! I was always so scared of the Loud American label when I traveled that I would practically put myself in a meditative state. But I let my freak flag fly here
ever since Enty revealed that Amaury let his girlfriend financially support him for years until he signed for his first series Prison Break THEN he dumped her.
ReplyDeleteHe is so ugly I don't know what people find attractive in him.
No wonder Justin Beiber and Selena Gomez fight a ton. Not because they are immature kids but because Selena simply can't handle her sensitive, heartfelt, delicate, tender young Anglo Singer. Probably why Melanie G and Antonio Banderas are divorcing too not because he's a cheating basterd and she's insecure.
ReplyDeleteDisregarding cultural differences - cheating repeatedly is an asshole thing to do.
ReplyDelete@Barton Fink - I know you were being funny. But I am not sure your cultural references are spot on. In my experience, those tough, mashismo fellas, have that crazy passionate side. They express way more feelings than any Anglo I have ever dated or even known.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking for myself, I don't think they broke up because of cultural differences. I love to hop on off-topic parts of the thread - one of my favorite things about the comments in this site
ReplyDeleteAnd @Missy GQ. I feel like you're proving the point we are all talking about. Barton being Norwegian (and dating a Panamanian for 5 years) is making a joke about the cultural differences in his relationships
The Mad Hatter was hot.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't know either of them if it weren't for OUAT (can't wait for it to come back!)
I seem to recall a blind about a tv girl who was always sweet and amazing but could never find the right guy. I think the blind detailed three failed relationships.
ReplyDeleteI'll see if I can find it.
Didn't he play the bad guy in "The Covenant"? If it is him he's not American born he's Russian I think.
ReplyDelete@MissGQ, LOL! I agree. I've dated people from all over the country and all over the world, different races and religions. Definitely cultural differences are hard, but as long as there is clear communication about expectations, it's never that big a deal. (Unless one party is beholden to their old country mommies or daddies - I've been in that situation before.)
ReplyDeleteMy own husband is from the Balkans, very macho, very argumentative, but also very, very emotional and over-share-y. I'm the opposite. I'm tactful. I like to spend lots of time alone. I like quiet. I don't like to talk about my feelings and problems all the time. It was a conflict at the beginning, but we've found the differences actually complement each other. They do not lead either of us to be CHEATING BASTARDS.
ITA w/timebob. He was hot until that moment. Just a bit too entitled for my taste.
ReplyDeleteI love Jennifer, and hope she is finally truly happy. Also love OUAT!
ReplyDeleteJust have to add in my story here - Once upon a Time was filming yesterday in Fort Langley (in greater Vancouver) which is 5 mins from my house; a friend and I were having lunch down there and we actually saw Sebastian Stan. No Jennifer Morrison, but we also saw Ginnifer Goodwin and Josh Dallas and the little boy in the show, not sure his name.
ReplyDeleteWhoops - I read this as Matthew Morrison
ReplyDeleteWhen I was an adolescent, it was still somewhat common for friends' parents to be upset about interracial dating. My sister and I asked our mom about it. She wisely said (and those are words I almost never apply to my mother) that cultural differences meant more than racial differences. So we could date a person of a different race from our same town or region, but if we dated a person from another country or with a different upbringing, we'd encounter more relationship issues. (The closet it came to playing out is that my older sister married a man with very dark brown hair. Haha.)
ReplyDeleteIts not about culture, it's about a guy who is sleeping with women other than the one he's supposed to be faithful to. "Culture" is lame excuse and an even weaker 'out'.
ReplyDeleteI'm convinced this answers a blind, and I'm pretty sure that a lot of people guessed this couple for that same blind. I think it was back in May or April.
Funny, Jennifer Morrison has had pretty decent chemistry with all 3 of her male costars on OUAT - the huntsman, pinocchio, and the hatter. I think I like her with pinocchio the most.
I never could stand her character on House, and I loved him in Kings, so I had that lovely knee-jerk get your hands off him reaction because I'm mature like that, but I sincerely hope he treats her much, much better than AN did.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking as a non-American, I have to say you guys are blunt (or at least the Americans I've met). But there are millions of you so you're all bound to be different.
ReplyDelete@AKM, i always heard Jesse was gay. Have no idea if there is any evidence to back it up, but i loved them as a couple - and i don't watch House.
ReplyDeleteAmaury was revealed as the blind to hook up w/his ex - Marc (Skeletor) Anthony's ex, Dayanna Torres. I thought the blind said she was hooking up w/both of them. Am I dreaming this?!?
Sebastian Stan smolders as the Mad Hatter. I cannot look away. I don't blame her one bit.
ReplyDelete@Snowstorms, Jesse is definitely NOT gay. That was a rumor started back when Jesse was a popular actor on the soap Neighbours after his parents, who had helped found a controversial political party in Australia, ignored a blackmail attempt by a group who was fighting against them. Jennifer commented at the time of their break-up that it had nothing to do with either of them cheating and it seems as if they have managed to remain friendly. They have both only had good things to say about each other. Btw, for the past year, Jesse has been dating professional surfer Maya Gabeira who was recently featured in the ESPN Hot Body Issue.
ReplyDeleteI was going to let this thread go, but since I live this, I thought I would give it a whirl.
ReplyDeleteI totally see what Barton Fink is saying. There are cultural differences that we are not even aware of, especially in regard to language.
When English is not the first language, nuances can sometimes be lost. It's not just language either, I know Brits who have problems with Yanks and Aussies.
In my case, my father is foreign born. I always felt much more comfortable with foreign men. I never did too well with Americans.
I also felt more at home in Greece and Italy, where a passionate nature is not frowned upon. Sometimes I get really excited about something, and Americans can become freaked out! In my experience, Americans equate passion with anger unless sex is involved. That's why I want to take back the word "intensity" because it is often misused.
American culture, again, from my lens, has a bland palette culturally. It wants everything to be like American cheese: no distinction in flavor and can't quite tell what it is. Is it cheddar? Is it Swiss? Who knows?
My sons are learning Farsi, and I think it's cool.
Those two had MAD chemistry on the show. Good for her for gettin' some of that!
ReplyDelete@Henriette - I enjoyed the cheese reference. I had a visual of some of my friends: "Is it cheddar? Is it Swiss?" I don't know, but it's fuckin' awesome because it's fuckin' American!!!! Rwahhhhh!
ReplyDeleteEvery time I hear JM's name, it takes me 10 minutes to remember who she is.
ReplyDelete
