When you look at Miley Cyrus' new tattoo it looks like she has some fairly recent scars on her wrists. Is it cutting? Does she have a really mean cat? Is this a new game she and the lesser Hemsworth are playing?
When you cut, it is usually just in one direction... sadly myself and some friends were cutters in high school so am familiar with it. I must also throw out that we were pot smokers (like Miley) so not sure if they often go hand in hand.
I hope if she is cutting, she grows out of it and realises that the temporary relief you get from it doesn't last.
I used to cut as well. I have to wonder if she actually is a cutter. I always chose areas that I could hide easily with clothes. She is photographed constantly, you would think she would hide the scars with bracelets, or just not show the tattoo.
Feel bad for her. Her parents sold her out for fame and fortune....she's a lost soul...and now that she's 18+ ppl hate her sooo much. Shes a train wreck that may get pushed over the edge
My cats have always scratched my arms lengthways. Sad for anyone who suffers such torment that is only eased(a bit) by cutting. Don’t like the girl but as a human being she deserves sympathy.
I think Miley is at an awkward stage at her career. The fans that she thought would grow up and follow her abandoned ship. Her last movie didn't even get a US opening. She can't tour in the US anymore and had to go to third tier countries. Liam's career is taking off now which has to give a whole new level of insecurities and tries to alleviate it with cutting.
Or this is just another Miley look at me im not wearing a bra to my boyfriends 100 million movie opening attention grabbing trick.
I've played with many kittens and a few dogs, the scratches look just like that. She has a new puppy. Most cutters cut in straight narrow lines, I've seen those first hand as well.
Hey cutting experts: just because you and your friends only cut in one direction, does not mean that's how every other person does it. I had cuts going every which way possible, all over my arms and legs. Some of them looked just like hers do here.
I posted to TMZ when they had the photo up yesterday afternoon. I have a garden full of aloe plants. Every time I weed around them I get scratches exactly like that going in different directions because aloes have barbs along their leaves that often leave my arms bleeding. Those scratches don't look deep enough to be from cutting.
It's not just the cutting...she's a classic Borderline Personality Disorder, just like RiRi. While the paparazzi and media lambast the growing number of *stars* (sarcasm emphasized), and the hordes of agents, managers, publicists, family, and *friends* feed off a seemingly endless source of financial freeloading, these extremely fragile characterologically fractured individuals spin out of control until they either suicide or burn out, and are summarily discarded, only to replaced by even more fragile, mentally ill individuals. People who will not be given the proper help because they will lose their *star* appeal....
Oh Miley darling! I really hope those are from gardening or your sweet dog. I had similar marks (and now scars) from those razor puppy teeth. Fortunately, the scars are on the outer wrist (dorsal side).
If not, please get some help. I don't want another LiHo. It's hard enough being a young adult and finding yourself without the world watching. She gets a pass from me for awhile. I may still make fun of your bad clothes choices, though.
Dunno Seaward, just know my daughter's, both on her arm and her legs were always straight...AND she ALWAYS hid them. Why would Miley show them if they were cutting ones? she has the money to get help if this was a cry for one. She seems to be happy in her life atm, just don't see them as cutting lines, show scratches and get pap shots? HELL YA.
I hope she's not. It's a terrible thing. My ex cut and burned himself and my neice does too. So so sad to think how bad they must feel mentally to need that kind of relief.
Those don't look deep enough to be cuts. They look like animal scratches.
I have some on my right arm that are that deep. My baby rooster - yes, you read that right - did it. He was trying to find a better position to nest on my arm, which he loves, and he scratched me.
i have three cats and only one is amenable to letting my trim his nails and so sometimes my and the DH sometimes get scratched as they scramble over us in bed, while laying in our lap, etc. We have NEVER had such long, straight, regular scratches and never at our wrists.
Yeah, those are cutting scars and those are still kinda red so maybe a month or two old? Plus that diagonal one looks like there had a couple stitches - maybe less cutting maybe something more serious type of scar?
I have been a cutter for several years. Though most of my fall into the same pattern not all of them do. As i have gotten older it has subsided. Yes i have had professional help but i have never been abused. Luckily i had great parents but my mother had a long history of abuse as a child and made sure it never happened to me. Long line of mental illness and substance abuse in my family. Very embarrasing scars and marks people can see and inevitably ask about. I have gotten great at brushing off questions about it over the years. I hope anyone with this issue seeks help to understand the urges to self harm and channel it elsewhere in a heathly way. No matter who you are you are loved. Now its time to love yourself.
A person in my life "was" a cutter (with current urges, so who knows if we can really say "was"?). The scars go in all directions, including one extrodinarily deep vertical one on the upper arm that apparently bled so profusely this person needed to replace a mattress. Nasty stuff. But, a cutter, I've been told, is not trying in general to get attention (most hide it), or trying to HARM themselves; they are trying to deal with pain and letting that pain out. Of course cutting's not the healthy way to do it, but it helps me understand the motivation behind it. I have bad "coping mechanisms" in my life too, so I am sympathetic to what I otherwise would have trouble understanding.
I used to get cat scratches (lost him to FIV, which I had never heard of until then) and they would get angry red from infection because cat claws are nasty dirty, not because I was allergic. Washing and neosporin woukd usually help, but not always.
I hear you, 0_0, but I'm pretty sure my son's issue is allergies, because he'll swell up and get red within minutes of contact. Knock on wood, he doesn't have respitory complications as well, cause he also has asthma, but cats don't seem to trigger it. He would be heartbroken if they did.
Gosh, if she is cutting, I hope she gets help. Whether I like her, think she has talent, or not.
ReplyDeleteTotal cry for help if she is. you would think that for someone that is papped everyday, she would try to hide it.
ReplyDeleteI don't think cat scratches look just like that, she needs help, the quicker the better.
ReplyDeleteIs that why she is showing this tattoo?
Cat scratches do not look like that at all!
ReplyDeleteWhen you cut, it is usually just in one direction... sadly myself and some friends were cutters in high school so am familiar with it. I must also throw out that we were pot smokers (like Miley) so not sure if they often go hand in hand.

Dear Lord, I smoke pot and have never had the amazing idea of cuting my self while high!
DeleteHope you guys get the kids to stop. This is some crazy shit...
I used to cut as well. I have to wonder if she actually is a cutter. I always chose areas that I could hide easily with clothes. She is photographed constantly, you would think she would hide the scars with bracelets, or just not show the tattoo.
DeleteI have scratches just like that from my dog... I'm not judging.
ReplyDeleteFeel bad for her. Her parents sold her out for fame and fortune....she's a lost soul...and now that she's 18+ ppl hate her sooo much. Shes a train wreck that may get pushed over the edge

ReplyDeleteI've had cat scratches like that.
ReplyDeleteShe needs to stop with the tattoos.
making news out of nothing.....
ReplyDeleteShe hugged her bong too tight and it shattered.

Not really sure, could go either way.
Could be from all those dogs she adopted. My dog kicks my ass on a daily basis, leaving lots of bruises and scratches.
ReplyDeleteI've played with many kittens and a few dogs, the scratches look just like that. She has a new puppy. Most cutters cut in straight narrow lines, I've seen those first hand as well.
ReplyDeleteWhen I used to cut, my arm looked similar. I hope it really is from her puppy.
ReplyDeleteWhat does enty mean by AGAIN? did she do it before
ReplyDeleteI'm not saying she doesn't cut, but I've had scratches like that from working with my roses or bougenvilla (sp?). In fact, they're usually worse.
ReplyDeleteI used to cut, for many years. Those look like cutting marks to me, I still have scars on my arms that look exactly like that.
ReplyDeleteHey cutting experts: just because you and your friends only cut in one direction, does not mean that's how every other person does it.

Tattoos for some are just another, more permanent form of cutting.

ReplyDelete@iheartjacksparrow Ha, unless she is just seeking attention, which seems to me the most plausible explanation.

Deletethats what I was thinking, the cuts arent deep enough to be cutting. Ive seen cutters; tey go deeper. hope she ok tho.
ReplyDeleteThey look like scars to me, not recent cuts. Hopefully they're not new, and it's something she's moved past.

ReplyDeleteShe might be scratching herself (not cutting)to make ppl believe she's cutting. And I think she's doing it to get attention from her BF and the media.

oh Miley, wasn't the engagement ring enough? no, of course not. nothing will be.
ReplyDeleteI've had scratches like that from my cat or my family's dogs. Nothing to see here, folks.
ReplyDeletei have three cats and only one is amenable to letting my trim his nails and so sometimes my and the DH sometimes get scratched as they scramble over us in bed, while laying in our lap, etc. We have NEVER had such long, straight, regular scratches and never at our wrists.

I agree that in some ways for some people, getting tattoos is another form of cutting. Same with piercings.
ReplyDeleteI also think that most girls who cut don't cut as deeply as guys do.
I have also never known a cutter that doesn't have a history of abuse- usually physical.
And it always breaks my heart.

Oh and FWIW, even us cutters manage to get cat scratches! Im a bonafide cat lady who refuses to declaw.
ReplyDeleteI hope she's not cutting. Maybe it's all those puppies she has and they play rough. Also, is it me, or is her tattoo a bit crooked?
ReplyDeletei don't know but it doesn't look deep or it's older

ReplyDeleteI don't know, Miley doesn't strike me as the gardening type to get marks like that on her arm.

ReplyDeleteI swear, it looks exactly like cat scratches my son just showed me on his arm. He's allergic, so they swell and get red.
ReplyDeleteForget the scratches, that tattoo is fugly. It's practically a short story.
ReplyDeleteI used to get cat scratches (lost him to FIV, which I had never heard of until then) and they would get angry red from infection because cat claws are nasty dirty, not because I was allergic. Washing and neosporin woukd usually help, but not always.
ReplyDeleteThey look like grazes from a happy puppy to me.
ReplyDelete@0_0 I lost a cat to feline AIDS too. Poor babies. One of my cats now has Herpes. I'm not sure what they get up to...
ReplyDeleteI don't think she's cutting her arm. I also don't think she's cutting it as an actress.
ReplyDeleteI hear you, 0_0, but I'm pretty sure my son's issue is allergies, because he'll swell up and get red within minutes of contact. ReplyDeleteAs stated numerous times before, she has like 17 puppies. Both their teeth and paw claws are razor sharp.
ReplyDeleteMy doc once asked me if I was a cutter and I was shocked. Then I looked at all the scratches and "love bites" my Siamese cat had given me and laughed.
