Fred Willard Has Been Arrested For Lewd Conduct Before

According to the LA Times, Fred Willard has been arrested before for lewd conduct. Of course, back then he was not as quite well known and there was no internet, so no one knew. Fred was arrested in 1990 which means that he has probably doing it frequently between 1990 and last week and his explanations that it is a misunderstanding does not hold as much water. Meanwhile, prosecutors say they are willing to make a deal for no jail time if he goes to counseling. I would hope he would get no jail time considering how little jail time Lindsay Lohan got for doing something that could actually hurt someone. Does this mean he is going to have to register as a sex offender?

If its in an adult theater I don't understand. What do they think goes on in a porn theater?

    1. That has been bothering me too. Seems like a cop could just sit there and wait and he'd have an easy arrest. Wouldn't that mean the majority of patrons could also be arrested?

    2. Cop has to enforce law whether they agree with it or not.

  2. I read on TMZ part of the deal to have the license to show the movies the place had to allow cops to do walk throughs anytime they wanted. It even says it on the front of the theatre that cops check the place. They didn't raid it it was just a random walk through and Fred got busted.

How Fred must of wished he stayed home that day.

  3. Agreed, Christina. Isn't that the whole point??

  4. But also...why watch porn in a theatre? Watch it for free on your laptop like the rest of us!

  5. Can a sex offender really be a sex offender if they only offend against themselves? Come on!
In broad daylight by a playground is one thing, in the darkness of an adult theater is another thing altogether.

  6. Hey guys,

Go back to the Fred thread yesterday and look toward the bottom of the comments. I'm running out the door but Basil shed some light on why Fred (Oh, Fred) was probably busted

  7. My question:

How many violent crimes took place the night two LAPD officers spent several hours stalking around a porn theater looking for someone with his peepee in his hand? And then several more hours in the station doing paperwork?

And, just who is being protected from the sight of a peepee in a dark room under a projected image of a ten-foot peepee?

If I was a Los Angeleno, I'd be pretty pissed.

  9. There are many more important things for cops to do than check out a porno theater. As I said before: we know the purpose of those places, why bother looking?

Thought I read this morning that he won't be prosecuted (?)

  10. It seems the cops weren't in the right movie theatre, they should of been in Aurora.

@EmEye TMZ reported they offered him a deal no jail for doing a program on criminal behavior. Didn't mention if he would be slapped as a sex offender. I think he would wriggle out of that one. But it sounds like he wants to fight it.

  11. Should have told them he was researching for a role.

  12. Oh Vicki :(. That is so sad.

  13. Being slapped as a sex offender is the worse thing! There are a ton of restrictions on you when you are. I can see why he would fight that.

  14. In the LAPD defense I don't think there intent was to arrest a guy for playing with his mini-fred. I think there intent was to see if any drug use, drug deals or prostitution was going on. Or worse case scenario what if a perv brought in an under age kid to molest. Fred just got caught up in the net.

I'm giving the LAPD a pass on this one.

  15. I read Basil's comments, and I totally understand now. It wasn't about him enjoying his own company, but having someone else help him... That's probably what the issue was really all about.

  16. I guess Fred's defense will be: "I was just pleasuring myself and no one else!"

    ReplyDelete
  17. Rather harsh considering "the crime". But I still stand by what I said before. He was arrested not for pleasuring himself, but probably with another man or tryinbg to entice another man ala "wide stance" or whatever they call it.

  18. No offense to Basil, who may even be right, but he isn't shedding any light on anything, he's just speculating. He himself says, "What I think was really going on." He's not quoting, nor presenting himself as, an authoritative source.

  19. @Leviathan
I didn't mean to misquote Basil and imply that that's why the busted Fred. I just meant that all of us simpletons have posted 200 comments along the lines of "Why the hell would someone get arrested for masturbating in a porn theater for Pete's sake". He was just presenting a reason why something like this could happen.

Basil's awesome and never throws around accusations, so I wanted to make sure that it was clear (nor was I accusing Fred. That's not my bag)

  20. Poor cops, though - "Hey partner, I'm bored. I got it! Let's go scour the adult movie theater for fappers!" In the meantime, it's going to take them an extra several minutes to get to that domestic dispute call.

  21. Police busting someone jerking off in a porn theatre (which I didn't even know still existed) sounds a little like entrapment to me. Go bust the assholes commiting sex crimes against children, not these people..

  22. It's been ages since I went to a XXX grindhouse, but I've never seen or heard of any guy-guy mutual wanking at one. I've tripped over obvious cruising in bathrooms and there were certain parks in SF that you avoided, but nothing like that in a porno theatre.

  23. Guys, before you get all down on cops and "why aren't they out arresting the REAL criminals", remember a few things:

-most PD's, especially a huge one like LAPD, have many different divisions, and each one specializes in different areas of crime fighting. I'm sure (but have not researched, so please don't quote me) that this operation was carried out by Vice. These types of ops are what they do all day, every day. Movie theaters, massage parlors, strip clubs, that sort of thing.

Prostitution, et al, may rightly be seen as "lesser" crimes, but are still illegal in most places. We're cool about them being "victimless" crimes, but not in OUR backyard, right? And every neighborhood is someone's backyard.

    - The cops who carried out this raid weren't just sitting around bored and decided to go nab some weenie-waggers. These ops are planned, approved, generally require search warrants, that sort of thing. If all the ducks aren't in a row, everything gets thrown out in court. That can't happen too many times before there are a lot of questions to answer.

-if they weren't nabbing said weenie-waggers, these cops wouldn't be out solving murders, or writing traffic tickets, or stopping whatever other crime we might deem more "worthy" of police time and effort. They're in Vice. This is what they do. (Just like every cop we slow down for on the highway isn't going to give us a ticket - they're not all traffic cops, and most cops I know would turn a blind eye to almost anything to avoid a traffic stop.)

I know I'm long-winded as hell here, but please lighten up on the cop disdain. These men and women work their asses off, in an imperfect system, to keep us all safe. And they are rewarded by long hours, shift work, and low pay.

  24. And, indeed, I'm imputing nothing negative against Basil or you, Sunny. Just offering a word of caution to one and all to parse carefully. It's way too easy and way too common on the Internet for logical speculation to morph into accepted "fact," the way a simple sentence change as it's passed from person to person in a game of Telephone.

  26. Vice crackdowns are almost always driven by community complaints. The LEO's would much rather be working violent crime calls.

Forex, I get pulled over driving a little slow on San Pablo Ave, a known streetwalker strip. Nominally for a taillight being out. Cop sees my two daughters in my truck and knows I'm not cruising for cooch, but still has to write me up an expensive fix-it ticket. Why? Because it's a stone's throw from the Pixar campus and the ritzy condos of the E-ville toon elite. Officer has to show that she's working the nookie suppression beat.

Funny, Pixar shows Mr. Incredible being flagged down on San Pablo by a little old lady with a cat in a tree, but there aren't any hookers in the background....

  27. I don't comment much but am throughly addicted to not only enty and this blog but love love love the comments. I die laughing. I am glad Tammy girl is gone and love LRC l. Ron cruise or any variation of that. I am absolutely taken aback in a very good way by what Frufra said.Beautifully put. B. Profane I get gitty by your honesty sometimes. Vicki, as ru Paul would say oooooh girl! You are fucking hilarious!

Fred was probably just wanking and when he saw the cops walk in he stood up thus his pants falling to the ground. ? Thoughts on the theory.

  28. *grumble grumble grumble* okay but get the stoopid massage parlors and strip clubs with the idget R&B-ers and footballs dudes and whatnot. Movie theaters with dudes fapping in the dark is such a big deal? Really? I could see if they also had chicks hooking or whatever but c'mon now. I personally have a bigger problem with Cracken's photo shoots with Uncle Terry *shudder* than 'ole Fred the Fapper.

Free Fred and Crack Down on the Cracken!

P.S. Hey, did you guys read that TWO of the Cracken's judges got reprimanded? LOLOL! Hope the next ones are harsher cuz of it. Better watch yer step Crackie!

  29. I think I should clarify what I meant by my post, and opinion in what I "think" may have happened. Any place that men go to where a penis is likely to be out of trousers around other men, usually get's the attention of cops. Not because a penis is out, but on the chance that 2 penis's might end up touching. Usually public washrooms and parks, and I suppose XXX theatres. George Michael didn't get arrested because he had his dick out at a urinal, or even because he was jerking off at the urinal. He was arrested because the he was looking at the undercover cop while doing it. There is a vague hint of homophobia in arrests like this even if the guy arrested kept his hands to himself and only looked at someone else. That is very well what could have happened in Fred's case. Personally I think the cops just wanted an easy bust that night and went to a place where the chances were higher of getting a bust.

If they were really serious about keeping dirty perverts off the street, they might want to take a walk through a library instead of a sitting duck XXX theatre. The things I have seen there you would be astonished by.

  31. I've seen a lot of people questioning on other posts why Fred didn't just have a wank at home in front of his PC with all the nice free porn out there - I think people are forgetting Fred's a peepaw. Chances are good he doesn't know how to turn on a computer much less navigate the interwebs for good porn.

  32. I've said it before and I'll say it again: this doesn't affect my deep love for Fred Willard in any way. I can't imagine *that* many people know about these arrests that PBS had to fire him??

Anyway, I can't believe no one else has posted this but, hey Fred ... WHA' HAPPEN???

    (God I love that man.)

Actually, Fred is pretty computer literate. He has a great Twitter feed. If this peepaw is going to an ancient movie theatre to wang off, it's not because he doesn't know how to get free porn off the internet.

  34. Anywhere there's prostitution there is also likely to be human trafficking, of minors or other helpless people. Am perfectly happy to have Vice Squad cops use my tax dollars to stop this.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Nutty, I almost came back here and said that very thing last night. But I've probably already said enough on this one :-). I know some first-hand horror stories re human trafficking that I don't care to repeat. It is real and it is extremely common, sadly.
