Ellie Kemper Gets Married
The only person Mindy Kaling has been in a fictional band with got married yesterday. Ellie Kemper, who stars in The Office and was in Bridesmaids got married to Conan writer Michael Koman. As much as I like Ellie, I also know that if this was a day during the week I probably would not have written about it. What can you say about a celebrity wedding that has not been said before? Hey, at least she didn't get sponsors to pay for everything. Unless you follow Mindy Kaling on twitter you probably didn't know Ellie was getting married so that is a change. Unless you saw The Office or watched bridesmaids you probably have no idea who Ellie Kemper even is which means if she has wedding photos In Kneepads, they probably didn't pay any money for them.
Congrats Ellie!
ReplyDeleteShe's too funny, too cute.
Love her on The Office. Congrats!
ReplyDeleteI love her, she's cute and funny. But no, I never remember what her name is!
ReplyDeleteI know her face from Bridesmaids but no clue on the name. Well congrats to her and for not whoring herself out on kneepads for a sponsored wedding.
ReplyDeleteShe was in 21 Jump Street, too!
ReplyDeleteI love her on the Office also, even if her character jumps around from quirky to stupid all the time.
She should have married Ed Helms!
She was absolutely amazing in 21 Jump Street, hahaha
ReplyDeleteI like her and I wish her and her husband the best, but I just have to say that her Oscars dress (seen in this pic) is one of my all time favorite Oscars dresses EVER. She looked stunning. The color complemented her hair and skin tone, and the dress was elegant while still maintaining a fun youthfulness. I feel she got overlooked a bit just because she's not a huge name, but that dress, OMG!
ReplyDeleteBut back to the point: Congrats, Ellie!
Michael Koman doesn't write directly for Conan anymore (I'm not sure of that), as he's currently one of the three main guys responsible for the Adult Swim Show Eagleheart, starring Chris Elliott. It's a totally insane cop show with lots of gory violence and absurd elements.

ReplyDeleteIt sucks that character/ensemble actors like Ellie don't get more coverage. More often than not it's the less famous ones who have the most to offer in terms of being a role model. I think Ellie was even the subject of a kindness blind Enty revealed on NYE a while ago.
ReplyDeleteI'm a huge fan of the cadre of Missouri/Kansas native celebs like Ellie, Paul Rudd, Jon Hamm, et al.,who give back to their hometowns and do a lot of charity work that goes largely unnoticed. Lohans and Kardashians sell tabloids, but I'd much rather read about the lives of their way less notorious, way cooler counterparts.

ReplyDeleteI like her. She's funny and has good timing. But I have to say it, I hate her bangs.
ReplyDeleteShe's also an accomplished dance bomber ...I think it was on Ellen. Hilarious
ReplyDeleteMichael Koman is also one of the crearors of Eagleheart. Funny show.
ReplyDeleteThose of us here in STL DEFINITELY know her name. We love her! John Burroughs alum, and Jon Hamm taught her in drama class!
ReplyDeleteYes! Oh yes the dance bomb on Ellen is funny...easily found on youtube five times over. Good for a laugh; love the midwestern personality, earnest/funny. Congrats on the wedding, Ellie!
ReplyDeleteI like her too. She's very relate-able. Her comedy never seems forced, quite the opposite; she's a real natural. I was shocked when they cast the new receptionist for "The Office", and she was SO good!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Ellie!
I have the feeling she has a very bright future. LOVE her!
