Dennis Hopper's Son Accused Of Raping 15 Year Old Girl

Although no police charges ever appear to have been filed, Henry Hopper, the 21 year old son of Dennis Hopper has been sued by the mother of a now 16 year old girl who says her daughter was plied with drugs and alcohol and then forced to have sex, oral sex and sodomy. According to the suit, which was obtained by TMZ, Henry met the teen on Facebook and convinced her to come over to his place because he would give her drugs and alcohol. She came and he raped her, at least according to the suit. The teen has supposedly suffered mental and physical issues since the rape. I wonder how come a police report was never filed.

  2. I wonder how long it took her to tell her mom ?

  3. She's pretty brave for filing that suit and making it public knowledge. However, i just hope it's not one of those cases where there's more to the story than is being revealed. Just hope that justice is served

  5. Pretty sure the statute of limitations on this alleged crime would not be up, so why a law suit over police charges? Why not get some justice for your daughter? It's not that I don't believe he would do something like this - I don't know boo about the guy - but so often people just try to take advantage of/extort people. Also, a lot of teenagers will make shit up when they get caught doing something they're not supposed to, and try to place blame elsewhere to get out of trouble.

However, if he DID do this, he deserves what's coming.

  6. He’ll probably get out of this (with this “celebrity” justice system) There was no report how are they going to prove this? Plus I guarantee you his lawyers are going to discredit her claims since a 16 year old was “pried with drugs and alcohol” that alone will strike against her character, sadly.

  8. I detest cases like this because I never know who/what to believe. I can be so gullible. When the Beiber baby story came out, I really believed it.

  9. Who is his mother? Was it his last wife (who seems like a crackpot) or someone else?

  10. I wonder if this is a case of a 15 year old passing for older, having sex, then her mom finding out? Happens all the time. I have a friend who had sex at a party a few days after his 18th birthday. The girl seemed at least his age and was there with her boyfriend of a couple of years who was in his mid-twenties. They git in an argument, she had revenge sex with my friend. The next day the police arrested my friend at work and he was charged with rape. The girl was only 15. For some reason, my friend was never clear on this, she told her mother she'd been raped. Our guess is that other people were going to tell her boyfriend that she disappeared into a bedroom with my friend, and she didn't want her boyfriend to be mad. As a result, my friend was labeled as a sex offender and has to register as such everywhere he goes for the rest of his life. I always wait for the details before I judge this stuff. It isn't always what it seems.

    1. Sadly, this happens more then people realize. My husband works in a prison. Many of the "sex offenders" are 19 year old guys who thought a girl was older than she said and got hit with statutory charges by pissed off parents that a dirt bag would sleep with their precious 14 year old who was pretending to be "of age".

If my girls consent to sex with an older boy,I am not going to ruin his life because they both made a crappy decision.I do not understand this mentality whatsoever.

  13. I think this might have answered a BI enty had back about a famous actors son who raped women - anyone remember that one? The majority thought it was the other Hanks son.. This could be it...

    ReplyDelete
  14. @Bogey - i remember that. Though it seems like Enty is implying he thinks this is BS. I'll see if I can find that blind in a minute.

  15. Here's the BI - it's the son of an actor with a very innocent public image. IDK if the guy who played Frank in Blue Velvet has an innocent public image..."MOMMYYYYYYYYYYY!"

  17. I remember some girl blogging somewhere that Chet Haze was known for getting together with "party girls." Supposedly, it was to discredit them should anything ever be said, etc. Sounds like he knows what he's doing.

  18. I took the last line about wondering why a police report was never filed to be a hint that daddy had paid her off to keep her mouth shut. I think this is definitely a reveal!

    1. Dennis Hopper died a while ago though. And wouldn't taking a payoff to not file charges also preclude her from suing later? Seems like the payoff would come out in court or something...

  20. I bet Facebook posts are the basis for the suit. And we've all seen how criminal charges go with celebrities.

  22. I just realized (a little slow today) that Dennis Hopper died 2 years ago so not sure he fits that blind.. How long ago did this happen? Dennis was sick for a while.. And is it me or does "Henry Hopper" sound like a chocolate bunny you get in your easter basket??

  23. I thought that blind was about Tom Hanks son ?

  24. I am always hesitant when someone files a civil suit for money and doesn't file criminal charges.

  25. Bogey, I believe you are right. The blind was about a son of an actor who raped a minor

    ReplyDelete
  26. Everyone *thought* it was Colin Hanks, not that it actually was. Being the popular guess of a blind doesn't mean he is a rapist...tread carefully!

I too hate these situations because there is so much he said/she said, though I tend to believe the victim b/c if it were me, I couldn't imagine making a public claim without it being true. Whether this is the answer to a blind or not, it is interesting there is not a police report. I guess since it is after the fact there is no physical evidence, but what about the Facebook messages, etc. She's 15, and most likely told a friend or two what she was doing. I don't know much about burden of proof, but shouldn't her word be enough to at least have a report filed and investigated?

  27. Its too many girls willing to give it up to be raping anyone...What the hell is he doing trolling for young girls on Facebook???

  28. Makes you wonder who is telling the truth. If the girl went to his place for drugs and alcohol makes you wonder if the sex was concentual even though she was a minor.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I don't think we are the ones that have to tread carefully.

  30. "Everyone *thought* it was Colin Hanks, not that it actually was."

Actually Chet, but I take your point. It's one thing to guess who's zooming who, quite another to throw out there that someone is a predatory criminal.

  31. Okay, here's a modest suggestion to 15 year old girls out there: when a guy you don't know on Facebook suggests that you come over to his place for drugs and alcohol, it's very likely that something bad is going to happen, and you should not take him up on his offer.

  36. IMO, if you are older and plan on hooking up with someone who tells you that they're of age, protect yourself and card them. Speaking from personal experience as a divorced woman in my 30's ;). A few moments of awkwardness is better than inadvertently breaking the law and being labeled a sex offender for life!

    ReplyDelete
  37. It actually probably does not matter whether it was forced or not, since it probably was statutory rape. She does not have the legal capacity to consent to sex with someone that much older than she is, so whether she "led him on," or "asked for it," it doesn't matter.

If you play with girls who are that young, then you take the risk that they really are. Wouldn't her age be apparent from her FaceBook page? It always is to me.

  38. "I am always hesitant when someone files a civil suit for money and doesn't file criminal charges."

A voice of reason. A sleazeball mammy who knows that filing a false police report alleging rape could end up with her ass in jail, but if you file a civil suit the worst that could happen is that you'd end up on the hook for plaintiff's legal fees.

  39. He should go to jail simply for plying a woman under 21 with alcohol, let alone illegal drugs!

  41. Totally agree with figgy. I really feel for people nowadays, it's hard to figure out where you can safely meet someone. But if you're 15, I don't think on-line is it. I wonder if those e-mails would be called up during the trial. They would be pretty important evidence.

Because most rapes on reported. This is the sad fact. Most aren't reported because the victims either live in fear of their rapist(s) or have seen that most rapists don't ever even serve time for their crime. It's disgusting. If this is true, he is a piece of shit.
