Dancing With The All Stars - Bristol Palin Is Back But No Kate Gosselin

Yesterday, ABC announced the cast for Dancing With The Stars - All Star edition and I have to say, I am upset. I Tweeted it, and now I am expressing my displeasure here. John O'Hurley was left off the list. The man is the first time winner of the show. It is not like he is really busy doing other things that he would not come if asked. Was he asked? No. Who does not like him? Nothing against Joey Fatone or Gilles Marini. I like them fine. But, why would you put Melissa Rycroft on the show instead of John O'Hurley. I know you need Bristol Palin to get some ratings shock. I get that. I can't really complain about Pamela Anderson, Kelly Monaco, Shawn Johnson, Kirstie Alley, Helio Castroneves, Drew Lachey, Emmitt Smith, and Apolo Ohno. All of those choices are solid. But, and this is a big but, ABC is letting viewers pick the 13th contestant and John O'Hurley is not even one they can choose from. It is Sabrina Bryan, Carson Kressley, or Kyle Massey. Since Kyle and Bristol hate each other now, that might be a good choice. I am grateful there is not a Gosselin or Kardashian in sight.

    1. @MISCH exactly why Enty said: "you need Bristol to get some ratings shock".

  2. No Heinz Ward? Not gonna watch.

  3. Kelly Monaco was the first winner of DWTS, not O'Hurley. He won the "rematch" ratings-grab which left voting entirely up to the audience instead of the judges.

    1. I like to think of John O'Hurley as the winner of the "Cry Baby Award." I liked him until he showed his ass as such a sore loser, insulting Kelly Monaco in interviews. He's a jerk.

And his dancing? More like "fancy walking." He lost, fair and square. Maybe DWTS can have an "All Asshole Edition" and O'Hurley and Gosselin can both be on that? What a joy.

  4. I try watching the shows but can't get into the part where the victims -- I mean, where the dancers stand in front of the panel and the judges say wonderful and cruel things to them. I would like to see tons of dancing and very little drama, perhaps just five minutes of ranking at the end. The judges are often bigger divas than the flamboyant men in full stage makeup wearing fluorescent leotards.

  5. Why do people (read: producers) keep giving Bristol a platform? She has contributed absolutely nothing, nor has she accomplished anything in her young life. She's dumber than a box of hammers. And as an aside, wasn't she the only contestant to actually gain weight while competing?

  7. Jennifer H. Is such a pleasant flower.

    Seriously though. Your comments are
So biased oppionated and angry. Go eat some candy or something jeeesh.

If John had been on the show I would have maybe watched it. Now... I will not being watching.

    1. Well of course my comments are opinionated, they're opinions. Don't mistake my words for anger, though. I'm really not that involved, though I'm apparently still kind of traumatized. I think I just had some sort of flashback. I also feel an odd need to prance around the room, doing a fancy walkin', high-steppin' waltz while sporting a urban sombrero and whining incessantly.

I think I will just go eat some candy, pleasant flower that I am.

  8. I have never watched this show...just seen the clips posted on line. I saw Kate Gosslin's 'dance' for Paparazzi and I can fully understand why she wouldn't have been considered an 'All Star'. Planks of wood have more personality and rhythm than that bitch. If they want drama--they should throw Juliana Hough in the mix and watch all her former victims fight over her.

  9. It's a P.O.S. show, and of course they invited Ms. Palin back, even though her only possible claim to any kind of celebrity is that fact that she was too stupid to get herself some kind of contraception or to at least make sure her idiot boyfriend was wearing a condom. "Dancing With the Stars" my a$$.

  10. I can't stand Kate, but was so hoping for shits and giggles that she would be an all-star. I haven't watched since she got voted off. I did see somewhere that the fans are being given the opportunity to vote the last contestant in. Bitch gets my vote for sure! I want to see some more of the trainwreck...

  12. More f****d up faux-Enty posts. Of course Kelly Monaco wiped the floor and the walls with Johnny H. The yearning for the original ENTY is never-ending.

  13. That pisses me off about Bristol. She did not care, did not try and was the only contestant ever to actually GAIN weight. Bring back someone that's actually grateful and will give it their all. God.

  14. I agree with NOT giving Bristol Palin more fame. She freaking had unprotected teenage sex! That's her claim to fame. I've got a list of people you can have who had unprotected sex as a teen, including me. Can I be on the show?

  15. I hated Bristol on the show and after seeing clips of her and her reality show I dislike her even more.

Can we do a write in for Hurley? He was absolutely my favorite on the show ever. GO J PETERMAN!!!!!

  16. and less a fuck could I not give who was on the list.

Wait, I do, not Gosselin thank you God not Gosselin!!! She must be crying on her bodyguard/boyfriends shoulder about losing another opportunity to get back on the air.

  17. The dislike for Bristol Palin exceeds the love for Apolo Ohno in this house. Sad to miss Apolo but Bristol is as repellant as her mother.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Plus, you know that Bristol's fame-whore mother will be in the audience. That's the worst part. Last time Bristol was on, they referred to her as "teen activist." (as in she got pregnant and then took money for telling other people to be abstinent). This time around I hope they refer to her as "ignorant teen mom with potty-mouthed tot."

  19. It's sweet that people think ABC didn't engineer a shocking come from behind win for their ABC soap star...the same soap star who got dropped twice in the finale but still managed to get perfect scores from the judges.

I remember talk of Congressional hearings into gameshow fixing when ABC suddenly decided to do the dance-off.

  20. Carson Kressley would only be in the mix as an easy vote off, without sacrificing a contestant with a modicum of talent.

I would have watched Kate just to laugh at her attempts to make a graceful move. I could always see her counting steps in her head.

  21. I'm seriously excited about apolo. Loved him.

  22. Wasn't Bristol's son recently shown on TV using a gay slur? Surprised there hasn't been an uproar about it.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Well, this isn't going to make me want to watch. I'm so out of the loop on D and F-listers that I don't even know who most of these people are. I'm one of those libruls, so of course I dislike anything Palin, but I think I'm right when I say they should nix Bristol and replace her with the McCain daughter. Now she would be fun to watch.

  24. Can we vote NOT to have Palin on DWTS?? I vote to bring back Kyle Massey. He was really good on his season...placed 2nd or 3rd??? No more Palin, please!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Palin is the new Kardashian.

@Jemtastic, I think most people were offended but not surprised.

Totally expect the kid in the audience calling people faggot while Sarah and Todd are munching away on Chik-Fil-A.

While I think Carson was and would be fun, will definitely be voting for Kyle just to increase the awkward. Besides, he was far better than either Carson or Bristol.

  26. Jennifer H and Kara are 1000% correct. Kelly Monaco won that season fair and square, his baby babbling to force a rematch was purely to secure him a short running role on Broadway, they wouldn't have let him in the show unless he had a DWTS win.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Kelly was not the best throughout the season, John was. Kelly may have been most improved, and I LOVED her partner!! Scoring was very questionable at the end and I felt John should have won. Glad he won the re-match, but the worst contestant to get the furthest HAD to be Bristol!! I could have done w/o Pammy too. Give me Stacy Kiebler, whose legs made me cry from jealousy - or the Osmonds...why no Kenny Mayne and Jerry Rice?!? I love their bits w/Len!!! Oh well, at least we don't have Kate!!

    ReplyDelete
  28. I thought Kelly consistently did better, andenjoyed that season overall. I absolutely adored O'Hurley; found him to be refreshing and delightful...until he lost and started shit talking Kelly. I was so disappointed. My opinion of him dropped WAY low. Also, as a viewer and a voter, I was insulted by that re-match. I had voted for Kelly. I haven't watched a season since. I feel like, why should I if ABC is going to negate my vote with a unneeded "dance off."

Eh, so the jerk-off won the dance-off. Such is life! **sigh**

  29. Stacy Keibler was the best dancer. As for Palin, I like her. The Liberal lunitics should leave her alone.
