Blind Items Revealed
May 25, 2012
So, at the Billboard Awards, the perimeter around the theater was blocked off so all the stars- even the big ones- were apparently taking the 5 minute walk from their hotel(s) to the theater. But, not this male B+ singer who is now on a television show. Instead of the walk, he wanted to pull up in a car which took 45 minutes to make it the two blocks. He also waited until the last 15 mins of the red carpet before the show to walk the red carpet because he thinks he's up there in status with Taylor Swift and Katy Perry. To make things even worse, he was also really rude to his press line escort.
During the show, he was in the sixth row in the theater, just behind Amber Rose. One of the producers came over during the show and said he'd be on camera after the break. He said he wanted to be moved up to first or second row when on-camera because being behind Amber Rose was not a good look. They couldn't do anything about it, so he got up and left the show and didn't come back.
Such a star and this is the first time I ever heard his name.
ReplyDeleteWow.
Wanna be!
lawllllllll
ReplyDeleteWhat a little bitch!
ReplyDeleteHe learned well from his mama, Big Bitch Gloria Loring.
Ugh how disappointing. Hes so attractive.
ReplyDeleteand still no one cares about you, Robin. Boo Hoo...
ReplyDeleteI'm so disappointed, I love his music :-(
ReplyDeleteI tried to keep up beer for blind, but passed out quite a few hours ago. Seems I've missed quite a bit.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't he have a drug problem? Is in likes to put things up his nose that aren't his fingers.
ReplyDelete*eye roll*
ReplyDeletewhere do they get this "i'm king of the universe" attitude??
for realz?
Such a douche
ReplyDeleteOh, and Robin, you ain't got shit on yo papa Alan!
ReplyDeleteI have absolutely no idea who Robin Thicke is.
ReplyDeletePaula Patton's husband and Alan Thicke's son. That's all he is.
ReplyDeleteHe has to be blowing someone powerful in Hollywood or pimping his wife out. This guy has gotten more chances for fame and fortune than people 10x more talented than him.
ReplyDeleteHe is as arrogant as his father.

Robin Thicke

As I recall a lot of people guessed CeeLo Green for this one.
ReplyDeleteI dont believe this. I am a big fan of Robin's and i have met him on several different occasions. He was very nice and humble even when me and my friend were completely star struck and prob bothering him. I will say that i wouldnt want to sit behind amber rose, he is a real musican!
ReplyDeleteKeeping up here is cutting into my drinking...............
ReplyDeleteIf I have to hear him sing in his "sexy" high falsetto one more time, I am going to puke. Why does his wife always pose so goofy, with her mouth wide open on the red carpet?
ReplyDelete@ __-__=__ said... ditto:)
ReplyDeleteHe's right about not wanting to be seen behind Amber Rose. She's one ugly nobody.
ReplyDeleteI keep hearing this guys name and would not know who he was if he was sitting on my lap. I know who his dad is though....
ReplyDeleteI think like most people celebs have multiple sides to their personalities. They may be great with fans- an honestly appreciate them, but turn into total divas around their peers to put on a front.
ReplyDeleteOk, while I agree his attitude and behavior were douchey, I do understand the frustration about being behind Amber Rose. He has more right to be at the Billboard awards than she does. And my understanding is he just wanted to move for the camera shot, not the entire show. Eh. What do I know? Maybe it was karma.
ReplyDeleteDelusional, sitting behind Amber Rose should have been his first clue as to what his true status was.

ReplyDeleteGreat point Turkish. The only reason I can think of for Amber to be seated further up than anybody is because she was asked to accompany the person seated next to her.
ReplyDeleteOn that Duets show, it seems like Kelly Clarkson is just nice to everybody but Jennifer Nettles seems to have no use for him.
ReplyDeleteI don't know who Amber was seated with but I wouldn't want to be seated behind her on camera either...sorry and I actually do like some of his music.
ReplyDeleteThe Billboard Awards is the Walmart Outlet of awards shows. Throwing a diva tantrum there is about as low as you can get.
ReplyDelete@1Jazzimom - She was likely there with Wiz Kalfia (sp?), I believe she's dating him now. I'm quite sure I'd not want to be on camera literally and figuratively behind her either if I were a noted R&B singer and she's just..um...noted. ;-)
ReplyDeleteYou know what? As douchy as this sounds, I understand why he did it. Perception is everything in this game and if you don't stick up for yourself, you're going to get shit on, plain and simple.
ReplyDeleteAnd truth be told, why the hell did Amber Rose get billing over him?
Sorry, but if I were his agent or management, I would told him to walk.
This one actually makes me sad. My sister and brother are big fans. I'll never forget the first time I saw the music video for "When I Get You Alone" -- his first big single. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B7K7orMOHqY I really thought it was a joke, that an R&B singer used this dorky looking white guy to lip synch his song while riding a bike. Sounds like success has gone to his head.
ReplyDelete@altar boy. I have been a fan of his since i saw the video "when i get u alone"! I have never been the same! Lol
DeleteDammit Robin! I like him :( He was probably high at the time and thought he could pull this stunt b/c he is on Duets (thus ABC would want to acquiesce to their newest star's demands *eye roll*).
ReplyDeleteEnty must be a really big r&b lover b/c only an r&b fan would know Robin or possibly think he could be B+. If Robin's a B+ his fellow judges are like, A to infinity.
Not wanting to be behind Amber Rose makes sense, but the refusing to walk to the theater is rather ridiculous. And as someone else pointed out, Amber was likely there as Wiz Khalifa's date (and Wiz is fairly relevant at the moment), so Robin was not really seated below his status. And besides, who at home is going to care? Most people don't really put stock into the seating chart. What really matters is whether or not the cameras continue to zoom in on you throughout the show. You could be on the front row and it would be a moot point if you're virtually ignored the whole time.
ReplyDeleteIt also just occurred to me that the on camera part must have been after Kelly Clarkson's performance, because he is the person who introduced her. So...you already got some prime face time from that and got to plug your show, and yet that still isn't enough? He was just being an attention diva to the fullest.
The car thing is messed up, but I see where he's coming from with the Amber Rose thing!
ReplyDeleteHe needs to stop making those dumb liquor commercials with his wife. I know you cheat!!
ReplyDeleteI use to be a fan, but since his "cool, d-bag swag" image makeover over the past year, I can't with him. So gross and Duets is boring as hell.

ReplyDeleteI don't know if he's become a diva or not, but I met him when The Evolution of Robin Thicke came out. He was extremely nice and not in a sleazy way, at all. It was my birthday, and he made the effort to leave his entourage, give me a hug, and wish me a happy birthday. Oh well.
ReplyDeleteNot surprising. I have to be careful here but I know from first hand sources from my days in LA that Robin has always acted like an entitled little prick. And his dad is nothing like the nice guy dad on TV. Very short tempered and demanding.
ReplyDeleteAlso folks, don't be surprised that if you met someone like this and they were super nice and humble. That just means that they actually DO know how to behave like a normal decent person, but only do it as it suits their purpose, which makes their PRICKly behaviour all the worse IMO.
ReplyDeleteI agree with the d-bag comments.
ReplyDeleteI also find this one very hard to believe. I hung out with him a little bit over a wedding weekend a few years back and also ran into him again at a party and he was nothing but nice and humble. Definitely left one of the better impressions of any celebrity I have come into contact with.
ReplyDeleteThis isn't even true (I know the family, and him).
ReplyDeleteDear jeebus these blinds were rriggin terrible. Half were false tabloid stories and the other half ere just common knowledge. Obviously you aren't as much on the inside as you'd like people to believe.

I didn't really even know who this guy was until I saw him in an interview and he was wearing sunglasses. Indoor sunglasses is a pet peeve of mine, so I automatically labeled him as a HUGE db.
ReplyDelete@Lelaina I totally saw that interview on Chelsea Lately. He was so douchey and full of himself on that; totally turned me off. This character he created for himself is a total tool. Can't imagine Paula Patton putting up with that crap.
ReplyDelete^Exactly. I didn't know they were married until that interview either and thought "Damn girl. You could do so much better."
ReplyDeleteI mean, I do get the diva act. Before he made it "big" solo, he was really well known behind the scenes as a lyricist and music producer, I think. So I figure he understands the game -- it isn't like some huge personality flaw or anything. Nobody walks to prom either!
