This is the birthday party to get invited to. The guy in the middle with the Kim Jong Il hair is Prince Azim of Brunei. For his 30th birthday he paid for Faye Dunaway, Lizzie Jagger, Stephanie Beacham, Jerry Hall, Mariah Carey, Raquel Welch, and Marisa Tomei to be there.
Oh, and Pamela Anderson for dessert and karaoke.
Happy retirement Uggie!
Brandi Glanville gets on a horse and poses for money.
Two of my favorite Britney Spears photos in quite some time.
Claire Danes and Hugh Dancy celebrate Claire's new bag.
Denise Richards is in New York and
Charlie Sheen is with her and scared. Crabs? Had a drink at the bar?
Elizabeth Banks is very brightly dressed.
This is harry Styles. he is 18 and this car he just bought costs almost $200K.
Jennifer Aniston with a ring on her right ring finger. Let the tabloid cover wars begin.
Jennifer Lopez and Casper on the beach. Or it could be her living room and a green screen.
Wow, Charlie looks just like his dad there
ReplyDeleteOh Pamela, you are my mom.2 *sigh*
ReplyDeleteLove Brit Brit
Charlie does look like he's got an itch down yonder he's longing to scratch.
I saw Charlie Sheen talking to the announcers on the Yankees/Mets game the other night. He was like the Charlie Sheen I used to really like. Must be a better actor than I thought.
ReplyDeleteI'm curious how an Arab rich guy goes about hiring celebrities to attend his birthday party. Does he pay for IMDB Pro so he can look up contact info & then reach out to their agents? Does he have a film industry in his country & they reach out to the western celebs? What a bizarre sideline for film actors. Paris Hilton doing this I can see. Her only talent is attending parties.
ReplyDeleteI honestly think charlies a great guy who is mentally ill.
ReplyDeleteI wonder what happened at that party... Super duper rich saudis like to hire celebs for sex, but I thought it was celebs who's stars were falling... Like LiLo and Tara Reid. Hm.
ReplyDeleteJlo taking picture saying," oh what a cute kid! Where'd he come from? Oh, its mine! Hi twin!" lol
ReplyDeleteBy the looks of the stars he invited to his party you can pretty much guess the guy is either gay or into camp, I mean Mommie Dearest, Sable Colby, lol All he needed was Julie Newmar or Lynda Carter lol
ReplyDeleteNot to be nitpicky, but I'd just like to point out that Arab (or Saudi) and being Muslim are not the same and those two terms aren't just interchangeable.
ReplyDelete@Kathy, etc. besides this Prince is the prince of Brunei -- more towards the far east than the middle east since it's pretty much surrounded by Malaysia.
ReplyDeleteI'm with cinephreak - tell us more about the super-rich and their hiring of celebrities. Really. How much is he paying these people that it's worth their while - I mean, Mariah needs money that badly? How truly bizarre.
ReplyDeleteMontana - you're on to something there - I couldn't make heads nor tails of the logic of the guest list.
I am sure that after years of drug abuse the hormonal imbalances take a toll on the brain thus leading to mental illness, so I have seen personally.
ReplyDeleteAny celebrity can be purchased if you have disposal income to pay their "appearance fee". Some big names like Beyonce can start at 2 million and up while a faded star from yesteryear can go from 10k and up, you just have to reach their manager/agent/assistant to work out the details. Once fees have been negotiated legal contracts are sent out and money's exchanged and voila Webster's at your party lol
ReplyDeleteHmmm this would be a cool "Your Turn" Enty, if you had a party and disposable income what celebrity would you invite?
ReplyDeleteCelebrities are always performing at parties like that. I remember a scandal about some attending a dictator's party... Anyone remember that? It's not about sex.
ReplyDeleteDenise's little girl (Lola?? I can't remember) is too cute.
I think those are great pics of Britney!
ReplyDeleteOh, and my evite to that Prince's party must have gone to my spam folder.
@dj - wasn't it Hilary Swank?
ReplyDeleteStephanie Beacham?!? My, that's...specific.
ReplyDeleteI have got to add, Raquel Welch is wearing the hell out of 72, DAMNNN where as Faye Dunaway at 71, not so much lol
ReplyDelete@frufra ahh thank you!
ReplyDeletehttp://www.newsmax.com/TheWire/hillary-swank-dictator-birthday/2011/10/13/id/414382
I feel like when that story came out there was a lot of tales of celebrities attending parties like that. Hey, if someone offered me a mill to go to a party, I'd be there.
Thanks Ladies for clearing up where Brunei was. There was also a HUGE expose in Vanity Fair on how Prince Jefri was robbing the country coffers of all the money in various scams. And looky Faye is drinking some champagne...Alcohol is banned in the country but not for the Sultan!
ReplyDeleteUggie is my favorite Hollywood star.
ReplyDeletePam-give it up, you are a mess.
Brit-Brit looks kind of normal there.
The photos of the ladies of Brunei are creepy. It's a random assortment of famous females that little big man has j*cked it to. They must know that. And yet they're still for sale. Gross.
ReplyDeleteI just feel sorry for them.
re: photo #1
ReplyDeleteBut more importantly, who's the dude in the middle of these iconic ladies???
I can't wait for Homeland to come back on, and I now love Claire Danes because of that show
Denise looks really pretty here, but I really hope she is not hooking or up getting back together with Charlie. I just find that man completely vile, and he seems to have zero respect for women. His poor kids :(
Ummm, hi. I just re-read Enty's caption. Not exactly what I expected from a the Prince of Brunei!!!! I thought he was their zany stylist or something!
ReplyDeleteRe: The Claire Danes photo - That's not Hugh Dancy...it looks like that British actor that dated Keira Knightley for a while. Rupert Friend?
ReplyDeleteThe guy with Claire Danes doesn't look like Hugh Dancy:he looks like Knightley's ex Rupert Friend http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1670029/
ReplyDeletethe pic with the prince of Brunei is weird:how money would it cost me to have STAR WARS casting acting the movie for my birthday?
Love Uggie, and Brandi's horse.
ReplyDeleteVery bizarre grouping of ladies. If nothing else he has a very eclectic taste in women.
Seriously, who needs a bag that big?
I don't think much of Denise on a *I'd like to be your friend level*,
but I do think she is one of the prettiest, shapely women I have ever seen.
How lame is it that you have to pay people to show up at your party though? Yeah, I get celebs get paid to attend events all the time but still I'd be kind of embarrassed if I had to pay anyone to show up at my party (professional entertainment is another thing).
ReplyDeleteAs for the Harry Styles thing -- ugh! I hate seeing these boy banders that are my age pocketing millions and spending ridiculous sums of money on a car when I have to spend 2 weeks of my shitty minimum wage job so I can make my car payment. So infuriating - even if he did just rent the car (for 2k a day!)
Stephanie Beacham? Wow, I'm impressed. If Linda Evans and Joan Collins would have showed it would have been the perfect pic. Everybody sure looks happy. I wonder who drank the most that night?
ReplyDeleteI think Brittany looks really sad in that last photo. I feel so bad for her. But she is looking healthier.
ReplyDeleteLook at the map- Brunei is not near Arabia!!!! Plus I have me the prince several times in London. He is sweet and polite. And 100% will not be jacking off to any lady believe me. Lovely boy.
ReplyDeletePs if i was loaded i would defo get Stephanie beecham and joan collins at my party
ReplyDeleteThat is one random bunch of celebs at that party.
ReplyDeleteDenise looks beautiful there.
I like Brit's pics too.
Hey kimjonguntruth,
ReplyDeleteWhat does Brunei's proximity to "Arabia" have to do with anything? Are you of the opinion that the quality of a person's character somehow starts to degrade the closer he is to "Arabia?" Provoking notion!
Also, I'd like to add that I totally totally believe you about your close personal friend the prince. I'll bet he has you on speed dial. He pushes the "fun" button and the two of you wing on over to London and jam with the Stones.
Brandi Glanville's gonna have some chafed thighs after that.
ReplyDeleteNothing new there, though. ;)
I recently looked at a side by side photos of Britney from 2000 and last month. It's so sad how dead her eyes are. Meth is a hell of a drug.
ReplyDeleteCharlie Sheen can get clean, test negative for drugs every day, give to kitten charities and he'll still be a scumbag who has raised his hands against women.
ReplyDeleteDenise has got an amazing body. Look at that tone.
@Montana, agreed. Except Mariah. If my husband had the coin, she'd be on the list. But he'd probably pay her extra not to sing ;)
Um, Casper seems to be thrilled with a certain section of the guy buried in the sand. It's really hard to believe he's straight after that gold-shorts picture.

The Dictator’s Birthday Party
Hilary Swank wasn’t the only star flown in for an October bash for Chechnya’s brutal president—Jean-Claude Van Damme and Seal were there, too. Nor was she the first to take an easy payday from a war criminal—Mariah Carey and BeyoncĂ© both once made seven-figures performing for the Qaddafis. As did Nelly Furtado—now that Libya is in new hands, who’ll pay $1 million for “I’m Like a Bird”?
Denise and Charlie's girls NEVER smile. So sad :(
ReplyDeleteI love my little Brit-Brit....she did meth?! I need to go back and research her breakdown days since apparently I'm having amnesia about hearing about it.
LOVE Elizabeth's dress! It looks so fun! It's very flattering on her. It would probably make me look like a semi truck wrapped in an afghan.
Who the eff is Harry Styles?
Claire Danes looks radiant. She's so gall dang pretty and talented. And her hair looks nice and thick. Bitch. ;)
In the picture of Pam Anderson and Mariah Carey....
ReplyDeleteMariah looks like she's thinking "This bitch has two seconds to give me the microphone or I'm gonna stick her with my stiletto. I get paid extra if I sing Hero."
One of my friends works at a bank in Toronto getting paid very very well.
ReplyDeleteFor his 25th birthday, he hired a Playmate to DJ his birthday party.
She basically hooked up her ipod and then hung out and drank with us. And no, no one slept with her.
Sweet gig if you can get it, I guess.
Uggie has the best looking pix!
ReplyDeleteThe Sultan of Brunei (Dad) is worth est 20 Billion.
He collects cars:
531 Mercedes-Benzes
367 Ferraris
362 Bentleys
185 BMWs
177 Jaguars
160 Porsches
130 Rolls-Royces
And 20 Lamborghinis
Bringing the total number of his cars to 1,932 .
I collect dust.
Mooshki and Agent, thanks for the intel - very interesting.
ReplyDeleteAgent, isn't Brunei one of the world's richest countries? Or is the Sultan just loaded?
One of the richest.
ReplyDeleteAh, Nora Ephron just died of leukemia. RIP, Nora.
Oh, god-really?! RIP, Nora Ephron.
ReplyDelete#coolcoolcool
ReplyDeletei thank you for telling me who the celeb-whores to boycott are.
again, thank you!
Uh who cares if Aniston has a ring in her right finger? Engagement hand is left.
ReplyDeletest. nora
ReplyDeletefact or liz smith?
just asking.
Uh who cares if Aniston has a ring in her right finger? Engagement hand is left.
ReplyDeletedamn, damn, damn.
ReplyDeletethe voice of a generation
silenced far too soon.
rip, ms. ephron.
Most definitely not Hugh Dancy
ReplyDeleteSultan of Brunei is on any given year one of the 2 or 3 richest men in the world. Usu he swaps places with whoever is the head of Saudi Royal family. It is a tiny country surrounded by Malaysia. Their riches have something to do with having a rare mineral that can't be found anywhere else.
ReplyDeleteI could see him throwing down a couple million for his son to fly all of these women here, who all agreed probably thinking, hey if I'm in the vicinity of other American stars, how bad could it be, and who can even find Brunei on a map back home? (I can!) Who's going to know? (CDAN readers are on it like a bonnet!)
That Vanity Fair article about the Sultan's weird brother was fascinating/creepy. Esp the stuff with all of the sex statues.
The prince seems to like his classics :)
ReplyDeleteLovely pics of Britney.
Charlie has aged ten years in the last two.
That's Rupert Friend with Clare Danes, he's joined the cast of Homeland for season 2.
ReplyDeleteMooshki, you're kind of tough, but you keep it real. Many thanks for your input.
ReplyDeleteBrunei: I have no idea what the genpop is/does, but the rulers are on another planet. I'd guess trouble there sooner rather than later. But 'they' don't care because you can be sure that besides all of the exotic cars, they have some jets on stand by.
@MrWolf
ReplyDeleteyour friend makes that much money with only 25 years?? im impressed & I think I chose a bad career option :P jejeje
Maybe the prince has Diana Jenkins on speed dial.
ReplyDeleteOh and Denise looks absolutely gorgeous in that dress.
ReplyDeleteRachel Welch looks amazing and very beautiful.
ReplyDeleteDenise looks gorgeous. Lola takes after her the most. The girls probably don't smile because they're afraid of the photographers. I take my 2 nephews to the zoo and we always stop for photos by the zoo photographers. My nephews are always scowling and do not looking happy in the photos. But they're happy kids around me, they just get weirded out when a complete stranger takes their picture.
Good point @Liz
ReplyDeletePeople are always ragging Katie Holmes for carrying Suri, but if I had aggressive paps yelling and taking pictures of my kids walking down the street I'd pick them up too. Mama bears protect their cubs :)
Super late to this party but, man is it sad that some rich dork has to PAY people to come to his birthday party. Can't get any lamer than that.
ReplyDeleteLove Uggie - I'm pretty sure I'd look as happy as him the day I retire! Way to go out with a bang matey!
ReplyDeleteI'm with miguela and chopchop! Lame!
ReplyDelete
