Parminder Nagra is Being Sued By Her Ex

I will admit to being biased here because I have loved Parminder Nagra ever since she was in bend Like It Beckham. Just telling you in advance that I am always going to take her side. That being said, her ex-husband is suing her because he says that she is hiding all of her money from him and he wants a lot. His problem is that during marriage, Parminder did not work much because she was taking care of their son. Prior to them getting married she made a lot of money starring in ER. Enough money where she bought three or four homes in Los Angeles. You know, because our traffic is so bad that you need to have homes scattered all over to avoid traffic. Those houses were bought by a corporation. her ex says that shows she is hiding the money. No, it shows some common sense and smarts. Go see if you can find a house in Tom Cruise's name or Britney Spears' name. Not going to happen. They are in the names of corporations. Her ex wants half of the value of all the houses and says that he gave up his job when they moved to LA for her to star in ER. His problem again is they weren't married at the time. I think this has the potential to get very nasty. I also think Parminder has enough money to pay the guy off and make him go away.

  1. Enty,
Please put the Tom Cruise on the blog that you have on T/Facebook. Hilarious.

  2. Why did he have to give up working so she could work if she stayed home after ER to take care of their child? He doesn't have a right to the money she made before they married.

  4. I hope she doesn't settle. He sounds like a goldigger. They weren't married when she made her money - period. Not too sure about CA law, but he shouldn't be entitled to the assets she acquired prior to being married. I wonder how this will play out.

Yeah, unless it's a palimony suit, he's not entitled to any money she made before they got married. And since they did eventually get married, I think that nullifies any palimony claims.

I know it's horribly old-fashioned, unfair and sexist of me, but I just have a hard time respecting dudes who sue their former wives for money. I know, I know. I'm not proud that I feel that way.

  15. I thought what you owned before marriage was off the table?
As for her multiple houses, the 5 is littered with billboards downtown saying, If You Lived Here You'd be Home by Now. A compelling argument during high traffic hours on long distances. ;)
