Mel Gibson's Dad Says he Is Being Abused - Files For Divorce

Mel Gibson's dad is 93 years old and says that he is being abused by his 70 something wife and wants a divorce. The strict Catholic who would probably stone you if you talked about getting divorced filed yesterday and then took a lot of grief about it so later in the day stated he is being abused. If he is, then yes, he needs to get out of it. Mel Gibson is coming to his defense and says that he knows all about abuse but is usually on the giving end so is glad to be very indignant when it happens to someone he cares about. Elder abuse is a serious thing and if his wife is doing that to him, whether it be mental or verbal or physical, the charges should be investigated. Just because I don't like anything about you particularly doesn't mean I want you to be abused. Maybe Mel will learn something from this. Other than getting tips of course for next time.

  1. Elder abuse is serious, but seriously, I have zero sympathy for this hateful Holocaust denier.

  2. Elder abuse is right up there with child and animal abuse, but, yeah, I find anything he says highly suspicious. Especially if Mad Mel is on his side.

  4. I read that he has a bunch of health problems that he takes a ton of medicine for and his wife wouldn't let him take his meds, wanted to speed up his death. Scary stuff.

  5. And this is why I don't gold dig. Can you imagine waiting for your spouse to die already, when he goes on and on and shows no sign of dying.

  6. TMZ said she she wanted to stop his meds because he's in pain and he's not getting any better, etc.

  7. Elder abuse is awful, but I worry he will go to hell for being a bad Catholic and getting divorced. It's best for him to suffer in this lifetime, so he can be in heaven in the next. (Rolls eyes)

  8. Hah @Beth.

I read the TMZ thing too. She wants to "speed up" his death.

  9. Doesn't he say the Holocaust didn't really happen? Maybe this didn't really happen.

I thought it was odd that he wants to claim spousal support from her. He's 93. Mel should have just moved him into one of his homes and hire a nurse. I think both men are getting served large slices of Karma pie.

  10. Poor guy, what an awful situation. I wouldn't worry about the Catholic Church. Most of you don't seem to understand, he wouldn't be considered a sinner.
I wish the best for him.

  11. What's Mel doing in that photo? Has he burned so many bridges in Hollywood that he has to resort to casting couch antics to get in someone's film? Is he showing someone what he's willing to suck to get into a movie? That's the vibe I'm getting here.

And what's that saying, how a society treats it's old........
