I had planned on just showing the photo above in Random Photos today of Mary Kate Olsen walking with her boyfriend and his daughter who is the same height as Mary Kate. That is kind of spooky. I really am hoping it is his daughter too, or I might get even more creeped out. Anyway, the photo above is the one I was going to use with some random caption. I think it shows the true Mary Kate that you see way more often than not.
Kneepads, standing out from every other tabloid and online gossip site, chose to use a different photo (above) from the set and used a little magic to almost completely erase the cigarette that Mary Kate was smoking. It is also a much worse quality photograph, but that doesn't matter because they need to show Mary Kate that they are team players and that they will do anything for the Olsens and if either of them gets married to please let Kneepads know and not only will they kiss your butt more, they will also pay to kiss your butt.
What a disheveled mess. Am I not looking at the bottom picture correctly because it looks like two of her fingers are bending backwards? I may be seeing things, it's early :)
ReplyDeleteLet's not be that harsh with Kneepads. I think that the 2 pics were actually taken at different times. Troll Smurfette's hair is different + her sleeves are pulled down- so the 2nd pic may actually have been taken later in the day and her cig may be near the end.
ReplyDeleteYet it's still freaky that they all look so happy.
Smoking around a child is disgusting.
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure that MK is old enough to smoke if she wants to -- and it's not like she's trying to hide it. And since the other two are French, I'm sure they have experienced smoke around them and neither seems to mind.
ReplyDeleteHer legs make me very uncomfortable.
ReplyDelete@ Cindy i def agree with your statement
ReplyDeletealthough smoking around a child is disgusting, that girl is probably around it a whole lot. and the father is also smoking, so if we're all gonna bash on mk lets look at the girls father.
I never get that type of reasoning: "well the kid has seen sex, drinking, and smoking everywhere, so let's give it a pass." Sorry, don't care if an adult should be more mindful of who he or she is around. This is how we get more smokers, drinkers, etc.
ReplyDeleteLets look at big picture: his girlfriend LOOKS JUST LIKE HIS DAUGHTER!!!!! Light years beyond creepy and disturbing!!!!
ReplyDelete@Cindy
ReplyDeleteBeing French and having lived in France, we still look down at smoking around kids.
Who cares about the smoking, Auntliddy is right.
ReplyDeleteMK looks a mess.
Hahaha! I am in love with that first picture- greasy hair, cigarette, stunted growth, looking older than her real age. Oh Lord, so much wrong to gawk at! :)
ReplyDeleteI just don't see how you wouldn't feel awkward, guilty, etc. smoking around a kid---I smoke (oh no! GASP!), but as soon as there are children around, the cigarette is out or I am until I'm done.
ReplyDeleteAnd they DO look the same in that first photo. Creepy!
My mom is 5' tall, all kids are her height.
ReplyDeleteLike others, I don't care if you smoke but don't do it around kids.
The only thing different in the two pics is MK's hair. I think the pictures were taken around the same time.
I get the twins confused.. which one went off the rails and which one is the business one?
ReplyDeleteI could see the less wild one with an older man, lets be honest, the last time they were actually allowed to act their real age, was when Full House first started.
I guess I am not seeing the ick factor here. They are both adults.
OK, I am one of those smokers that does smoke around my kids, so kill me. I'm a good mom, do everything for my kids and don't drink or do drugs. I am a 24-7 parent, but I do smoke, so there are times when I do smoke around my kids. That said, I make sure my smoke stream is not near them. For example, if I am walking down the streat arm and arm with my kids, I'm NOT going to have a cigarette in my hand.
ReplyDeleteSo while I do everything to NOT subject my kids to second hand smoke, I shouldn't feel like a bad parent because my kids see me smoke. Hopefully, I am raising them to make up their own minds about what they will and won't do.
I'm so sick of all of the self-righteousness directed at smokers. You've got us all smoking outdoors now, so we can't do it in "private" and then scold us when doing it outside in public. While I know smoking is stupid, and the last time I tried quitting I ended up in the hospital for severe anxiety and depression, it is what it is and there are certainly worse things in this world.
Stupid question: Kneepads is a codeword for what site?
ReplyDeletePeople
DeleteIf I get lung cancer over your "habit" I will be sure to send the bill to you ASAP.
ReplyDeleteWell-said, Ice Angel. Smokers are incredibly persecuted. Truly. Yes, we know it'll kill us and yes, we know it stinks and yes, we know it's gross. If we're not exposing you to it personally second-hand, just let us be and move on.
ReplyDeleteThird-hand smoke is thought to potentially cause the greatest harm to infants and young children, because younger children are more likely to crawl on the floor and eat from their hands without washing them first, ingesting the toxins into their systems.
ReplyDeleteSomething to think about.
MK appears to live on Starbucks and cigarettes.
ReplyDeleteAnd I don't think her boyfriend's daughter could squeeze into her clothes.
Am I the only one who thought that was Bob Saget?
ReplyDeleteKneepads = People magazine
ReplyDeleteI thought you had to smoke in France?
ReplyDelete@IDoTheRobot - I'm confused by your comments. Crawling on the floor ingesting cigarette toxins?? You must be assuming all smokers do so in their house with infants present??
ReplyDeleteFirst off, I don't smoke in my house but if you're going to use that argument then maybe we should ban cars from driving, planes from flying, bleach and other house cleaners and cows (ok, cows contribute to global warming but you get the point).
We are CONSTANTLY ingesting toxins from MANY sources everyday.
Something to think about.
I don't think the intent could've been to run a more flattering picture because she doesn't look any better in the second one - maybe worse.
ReplyDeletethought it was a guy with two kids.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to know why tall guys go for these pocket-sized women. I'm 5'10" (often in heels so usually 6ft) and find that many taller men are with women at least a foot shorter than they are. Meanwhile I have men my height or shorter hitting on me. Not my thing.
Thank you IDoTheRobot & Amazon Blue
ReplyDeleteWow there is nowhere to escape the unbelievable antics of anti-smoking activists. My neighborhood is trying to amend our bylaws to make the entire neighborhood non-smoking anywhere, inside or out, and I own my house! It is incredibly bothersome to me that when I have a party I am going to have to either police my guests or be fined. And also second-hand smoke/third-hand smoke and the SMELL OF SMOKE are not the same thing, scientifically, although anti-smoking activists seem to forget that. I really think this has gone way too far and its so obnoxious all the people who rail against smoking I assume all of your cleaning products are 100% natural? Because they have a shitload of toxins too. Jesus.
ReplyDeleteThat being said I do think its not right to smoke in front of a child-because of second hand smoke if the proximity makes it actually second hand smoke, and also because it sends a message to kids that its ok when it really is not. But adults.... I mean seriously there are places where I live where I could smoke other not legal things in public and would get less shit for it than if I had a cig. I'm not a smoker BTW.
To answer another reader's unrelated question- both Olsens are very involved in their business. I also think both are definitely not on the up and up wrt substance abuse but that's just a suspicion. In terms of who is the more together one, the one is this pic is the one who we know went to rehab and who we know had some wierd relation to Heath Ledger and his death-- Mary-Kate-- so I guess by your definition she is the bad one?
@Steph not to be crass it is revered to as a "blow-job" height ie she is short enough not to get on her knees to give one
ReplyDeleteI have never smoked a cigarette, and I'm 33 years old. That being said, I have NO PROBLEMS with smokers. We all have our vices, right? I don't care for it very much when people smoke in the car with all the windows up and a kid in the backseat, but other than that, I'm cool with it...
ReplyDeleteAnd MK truly has earned her status as a 'Trollsen' in that top picture :)
@Steph- Tall women usually have big feet and hands...kinda creeps the boys out! Us short chicks are glad to be smaller rather than some bean pole!
ReplyDeleteUnknown, that was pretty mean. I personally wish I were much taller. I am just under 5 foot 5, and I would love to have a few extra inches of leg. Just because someone is tall, that doesn't make them a "bean pole."
ReplyDeleteRe: the smoking thing -- I can't stand cigarette smoke. I don't want it around me, as it smells awful, is full of nasty stuff, aggros my asthma, and is generally unpleasant. That being said, I don't see how it's any of my business if someone smokes in their own house or car. Just know that if you do, you are SEVERELY affecting the re-sell value. And smoking around kids or while pg is never OK.
It's different from other vices, because smoking harms other people. If I want to sit in a bar and drink myself silly, I'm not affecting anyone else unless I then try to drive home. Likewise, if I sit next to a kid on the couch and eat a bunch of chocolate, that has zero effect on the kid.
My older daughter reached the height of some of my shortest girlfriends when she was 11. She's now taller than all but a couple of the women I've dated. The height thing is not a valid issue.
ReplyDeleteThe smoking, though, is skeevy. The mild resemblance...dunno how I feel about that. I should only date women who look completely opposite of my daughters? That rules out a lot of beautiful women.
No, the smoking is the only issue here.
What a nice thing to say about your beautiful daughter (I hope you tell her that).
ReplyDeleteOuch, Unknown. It's amazing tall women can even find a date.
ReplyDeleteIzahart, how is smoking and not using 100% natural cleaning products the same? They both aren't directly linked to cancer and other diseases.

ReplyDeleteWhat I think is kind of funny is that it is pretty much the same people who are trying to ban smoking cigarettes as the ones who are trying to get pot legalized.
ReplyDeleteAnd now I have to worry about 3rd hand smoking??? Really??? Well, whatever the case, my kids aren't infants and I don't smoke in my house. I did the e-cigarettes for a while and now they are banning those on planes and many restaurants because they make people "uncomfortable."
So it's really gone from being something that can hurt anti-smoking activists' health into how it "looks" or what kind of example we are setting.
So have sex with whoever you want (as long as you wear a condom, it's cool, right?)dress anyway you want, use vulgar language and party on until the cows come home, but whatever you do...DON'T SMOKE!!! Because that would make you a BAD person.
Ugh!
the similarity between daughter and girlfriend are because he has a type. daughter takes after mom(somebody he choose bc she was his type) in her looks.
ReplyDelete"What I think is kind of funny is that it is pretty much the same people who are trying to ban smoking cigarettes as the ones who are trying to get pot legalized."
ReplyDeleteSpeaking as someone who has worked on legalization quite a lot, that's not true.
I'm pretty blase about smoking even though I don't, as an old theatre dog. I had to smoke bare-ass Camels for a month while rehearsing to play a biker once. I do draw the line at clove cigarettes though.
I don't think the woman in the second picture looks anything like MK Olsen! Is it because I've never seen her smile before?
ReplyDelete"What I think is kind of funny is that it is pretty much the same people who are trying to ban smoking cigarettes as the ones who are trying to get pot legalized."
ReplyDeleteAnd those figures are from where?
Don't smoke around kids, it's not a hard thing to do. And quitting sucks but it's the smartest thing you can do for yourself. If it meant your kids wouldn't take it up, it would be worth it, no? Because a parent smoking increases the chance of their teenagers smoking.
I quit smoking a year ago. And let me tell you, I don't want a face full of your nasty fucking cigarette smoke when I'm walking down the street. Smoke in your car. Just because you're outside doesn't mean you're not bothering the hell out of everyone else sharing that air you're polluting.
ReplyDeleteWho is kneepads?
ReplyDeleteHow many kids learned how to smoke from their parents AND adults around them?
ReplyDeleteSmoking parents set an example for their children: "do as I say, not as I do."
I bet this guy's daughter already smokes.
For some reason these pics of her really creep me out! Esp in the top picture where she looks like such a disengaged troll as he basks in the pap attention.
ReplyDeleteFigured out the ick factor - It looks like she is their pet celebrity they are taking out for a walk. Like she is on a disconnected mental plane, even when they are all "together". Creepfest.
ReplyDeleteHahhahaa kept wondering what Kneepads was, see it in almost every post. Came here to aks it, happy I am not the only one wondering and finally know what it is. *yay*
ReplyDeleteI am a non smoker, and I know that non-smokers don't like the smell of smoke, but far and away the people who seem to be the most vocally disgusted by smoke and smokers are EX-smokers. And every ex-smoker I know who never thought they smelled bad when they smoked now cannot believe how bad their clothes smell when they get home from spending time with a smoker. You'd think they would be the sympathetic ones, the ones who know how hard it is to quit, but the seem to be the most judgemental. In my experience.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure he's friend with roman polanski and woody allen.
