Jon Hamm & Jennifer Westfeldt Were Robbed
Over the weekend, Jennifer Westfeldt told Life & Style that she and Jon Hamm were in London at a restaurant. During dinner, her purse was stolen from her table. Interesting. She also said that because her hotel room key was in the purse, the thief managed to go back to the hotel; go to the room; and clear everything out. Uh huh.
Does anyone else think there is something wrong with this story? Lets go over it all. generally someone who takes a purse from a table during dinner is going to snatch it and run. No one noticed? OK, so no one noticed. Now, the thief is outside and goes through the wallet, and maybe finds some cash and also sees the hotel room key. The next part of the story assumes that Jennifer never took her key out of the little card thing they give you. Otherwise the story is total crap. But, for arguments sake, lets say she kept it in the card so the thief knew what hotel they were staying at and knew what hotel room they were in and was willing to go to the hotel; go to the room; break into the room; and then steal everything in it. remember this was just grabbing a purse from a table. Now, for all of this we also have to assume that Jon and Jennifer never noticed the bag was gone or that they should call the hotel to tell them that their room key was inside and to cancel it. This also assumes they travel with no assistants and no publicists despite it being a working trip. I'm just not buying all of these things that have to go together.
