Jennifer Hudson Will Be On Smash
Continuing its home as the place where American Idol contestants can find work, Smash is set to have Jennifer Judson be on the show next season as a Broadway star who has sacrificed a lot to be a star. Hopefully the show will be still on the air when Jennifer does her multiple episode arc. If it was not for The Voice helping out Smash it would have been gone after about two weeks.
Who the hell is Jennifer Judson? Because Jennifer Hudson is a multi-award winner, so I think she'll do just fine sans Smash, although I got into the show.
ReplyDeleteThis is Bob Greenblatt's (chairman of NBC and first openly gay head of network executive) baby, it won't get canceled.
ReplyDeleteI don't watch many fictional tv shows but I liked Smash a lot. I'll be interested to see how they bring Jennifer on.
ReplyDeleteShe cant make the show any more horrible than it already is! I would actually save this show on my DVR for when I was really high.
ReplyDeletetimebob, Steven Shpielberg's involved too. They should have just aired repeats of Amazing Stories.
I have to confess, I watch the show. And I love it for the most part. Ok, when they start talking I tend to tune out, but for musical numbers? Abso-freakin-lutely *LOVE*LOVE*LOVE* it.
ReplyDeleteI would absolutely pay to see the actual musical produced on stage.
And by way of disclosure, yes, I am a musical theater geek.
I found I really enjoyed the show, I love seeing Anjelica Huston and Debra Messing and I like the story.
ReplyDeleteIt's different compared to all the other blech on TV these days.
Merlin, it would have been so much better if it had been a musical instead of a tv show. The musical numbers are the only bearable part. At least they dumped the most annoying members of the cast for next year. Ellis was the single most annoying character I have ever seen on a tv show.
