Groom Gets Caught Cheating At Reception

You know how it is at weddings. Everyone is having a good time and maybe gets drunk. Maybe some people hook up. But, what you don't expect is for the groom to hook up with anyone other than the bride. But, then again you are not this Austrian groom who was found having sex with a waitress at his reception. You wouldn't think it, but it gets even better. He was caught by his new father-in-law. While he was doing it.

  3. Maybe it's a big misunderstanding. Maybe his penis accidentally fell into her vagina.

  4. Maybe he was low on cash and traded sex with the waitress for an extra hour of open bar with the caterer.

Jesus, there's so much pressure on some folks to get married. From parents, friends, society in general. I'm sorry this happened to this bride, but at least she didn't get years invested with this creep who obviously does not want to tie the knot.

  7. I knew a wedding photographer who had lots of stories about wedding "mishaps." The best one was a bride who was using the bathroom (she was in a stall) at the reception when all her bridesmaids came in to freshen up at the mirrors. All of them were talking about the groom hooking up with the maid of honor the night before the wedding. Needless to say, the marriage didn't last.

In my family people get drunk and get into fist fights and then hug it out. My guess is she can totally get it annulled and forget this loser and be grateful she didn't have to find it out several years and kids down the road what an ass he is.

  10. In anthony bourdains book, kitchen confidential, he tells a story about a wedding party coming into the place he worked for a wedding reception and how he was asked to deal with the main grill (his first time, super big deal) so the head chef could go bang the bride. Guess this happens both ways!

That's very sad but she must have had some idea or inkling. I agree that it's best to find out as soon as possible. That moment must have been astronomically awkward, ohhhh, hi Bill, this isn't what it looks like.... I'm sure it wasn't the first time for that jerk. At least there's no way she could ever forgive him, or overlook it, move past it whatever, it's "my Dad saw you." We're done.

  13. These stories are why I didn't want a huge wedding! When I use to plan weddings, there were lots of stories like this for both the bride and groom.

Also, the guests would be placing bets on how long the couple would last. Seriously! If the bride and groom weren't messing around, then the parents or the wedding party were finding a way to embarrass the couple.

I think the groom should pay her family back the money they spent on the wedding.

  15. I went to my boss' wedding once and the on the way back up the aisle the bride's ex-boyfriend stopped the couple and told the bride he'd made a mistake letting her go. They got back together at the reception and she was in constant contact with the boyfriend throughout their honeymoon. I found out a few weeks later when my boss told me that they'd agreed to give the marriage 6 months with her spending the weekdays with him and the weekends with her boyfriend. I let that job before the 6 months was up but I later saw him at a convention with a subsequent wife.

  19. @auntliddy - so jealous. If we had it to do over again, that's what we'd do. We were young and wanted a SIMPLE wedding at my parents' house, but they wouldn't hear of it - didn't want to "insult the family". All the subsequent wedding planning stress was total bullshit. Should have stuck to our guns!

  20. Manda I was just thinking that same thing! I have some good stories from mine, and happy to say we beat the odds (yes, my new mil was betting against us) and are still together 21+ years after....and congratulations aunt liddy!

  23. I want to know what the father-in-law did too. I can only imagine what my Dad would do.

My husband & I's wedding was turning into a 3-ring circus with all the family demands (guest list of 350+, etc) so we said screw it and had a destination wedding in Vegas. Still think it's the best decision (other than deciding to have our son) we ever made. My family loved it, his family was pissed, but in the end, everyone had a blast and almost 9 years later, every anniversary people STILL call to tell us how much fun they had and to ask us when we're going to have a huge family vacation like that again (and we have a somewhat religious family so there was no boozing/gambling on their part :-P).
