This A list singer has had numerous men pursue her in the past. She is married now, but while she was dating, she would tell all her boyfriends she was a virgin. When she became famous several guys wanted to be her first. There are three men who think they are her first and they each paid dearly to think they were the first, but none of them actually were. Our singer lost her virginity back in high school to a guy who died the next year in an auto accident. With no one to ever challenge her, our singer sought to make sure she was always a force in the business. The first man owned a record label and our singer desperately wanted to be on that label. He thinks he was the first and lavished our singer with gifts including cash and cars and signed her to his label. The day the deal was signed they spent two whole hours in a hotel before she said she had to go. The second was a producer who our singer wanted to produce her record. He was married at the time but wanted this singer badly. She told him she would only go out with him if he got divorced. He left his wife and produced the record and in return got to spend a weekend with the singer before she dumped him. Then, there is her husband who was told when they started dating that she was a virgin and intended to remain so until she got married. She didn't make it that far, but did manage to string him along for almost two years before they finally ended up in bed together. In those two years she set herself up for life in gifts and cash even without her huge record sales.

Amy Lee moved around a lot when she was young (car crash boyfriend?) also has called herself a Christian-then retracted it (virgin?). First Producer is Pete Matthews of Wind-Up Entertainment. Second Producer could be Alan Meltzer founder of Wind-Up, ( largest independent label) who did divorce his wife-and when he died left 1.5 million to his chauffer and doorman, left her nothing. Mariah Carey doesn't fit because of her prior marriage, and also because she def makes way more than Nick and always has/will. Carrie Underwood doesn't fit because she had to have been richer than her husband when they married, plus she's had many public relationships. Same goes for Hilary Duff (with the added caveat that she doesn't have huge record sales). GaGa sells records but isn't married, same goes Britney. Christina doesn't sell records anymore and isn't married.
When you break it down, there really aren't many choices other than Beyonce

And she was already a huge star when she married him. She also has said in interviews that she can count how many men she has slept with on one hand, That's not denying she's a virgin, and that was before marrying Nick Cannon. If you read the blind carefully and my post, as well as many others, above it is pretty clear this isn't about mariah, it just doesn't fit.So I'm gonna give the quick version. I have an uncle and a close family friend that both worked in the music business. He at Island, her at Sony. They both knew Mariah and Tommy back then and everything Mariah said about how she was treated by Tommy was true. Also how he paid (or approached, many turned him down, many took the money) radio personalities, tabloids, etc. to report negative and false stories about Mariah was also true (confirmed by Wendy Williams on her radio show). He also stole music ideas from Mariah and gave them to J.Lo (both under Sony at the time) and rushed J.LO's album out first. Mariah was able to prove it which is why she was let out of her contract with Sony early and he was fired. This was confirmed by the producer who worked with J.LO on that album in Vibe magazine. And if you listen to the songs Mariah and J.LO did with JaRule, you'll here the similarties (there was other songs/song ideas too).

Based on most of his posts, I'd think (even though this post is clearly not about them) Mariah and Madonna would be considered A+ just based on their huge success and length of careers. Britney and Beyonce may fall into that category too, but neither has matched the success of Mariah or Madonna. Hilary Duff is no where near A-List for anything, at best Enty would refer to her as a former a list tweener. Jessica would be a former b list singer. I don't think of Carrie Underwood simply because of American Idol. winning it guaranteed her a record deal.

ReplyDelete1) LA Reid is the co-founder of LaFace Records with Babyface and they released her first album,and in fact discovered her....to this day Reid has remained very close to her even after she left the label.
Her first album, "Toni Braxton" went to #1 and sold 10 million worldwide....she is clearly A list.
2) David Foster helped produce her second album "Secrets" and produced her third album also, "The Heat"...he has produced a ton of top albums, and has been divorced four times, not hard to think Braxton caused one of those divorces and he probably wanted to produce her third album "The Heat" after working with her on "Secrets."
3) Her current husband is a musician, they have two kids, and they married after "The Heat" came out, so this would have been after Foster left the picture.
I believe they are separated but Braxton has said they have no plans to divorce so technically he is still her husband--she has said she wants to stay together for their kids and neither has filed for divorce.
She clearly no longer has huge record sales as the blind suggests but LA Reid is now producing her next album and considering his wealth it wouldn't surprise me if he is showering her with cash and gifts.
Also Braxton grew up in a very strict Christian family--she and her sisters were not allowed to have boyfriends or wear make up

Toni has declared BK twice so her huge record sales in the past are not contributing to her being set for life.. and declaring BK multiple times does not comport with ever being set for life..

ReplyDeleteOkay, okay. I'm thinking this maybe Christina Aguilera. Hip Hop producer Dallas Austin called her out a few years ago and said she hooked up with him to get him to write tracks for her. Also, her ex-husband was a producer and I believe she showered her with lots of gifts.

How OLD is Mariah? She is supposedly born in 1969, but swears she is born in 1970. Is she 43 or 42? I don't why a year matters to her so much. Always been curious about that.
Obviously Beyonce. Mariah was married to Tommy, Gwen is not exactly pretending to be a virgin, nor is Katy Perry who currently DIVORCED.
