Last night on CNN, Casey Anthony gave a ten minute phone interview to Piers Morgan. In the interview she says she did not kill her daughter. The way she put it was, "Obviously, I didn't call my daughter Caylee." Obvious to who? Yes, I know the prosecution did an awful job and I really hope they never get to try any murder cases again, but I think it is pretty obvious to anyone else that she did it. Last night she offered no suspects and did not announce she was going to write a book about trying to find the real killer. New idea for a reality show. "OJ & Casey Find The Real Killers."
Casey says she is not making "gazillions" of dollars off this. I believe that, but it's not for a lack of trying and I think her going on Piers is her way of saying probation is ending soon and she will be looking for money making opportunities. You know, like club appearances and pool parties.
She also mentioned how much she enjoyed the Hunger Game books...uhh really?!
ReplyDeleteBitch
ReplyDeleteSpell check isn't enough, Enty...ya gotta proofread... ;)
ReplyDeleteWhere's a zombie apocalype if you when you need one?
ReplyDeleteShe is another narcistic pirah like O.J. Simpson. She just don't get it.
ReplyDeleteI'd be willing to chip in to send her on an all-expenses paid trip to Aruba.
ReplyDeleteShe didn't call her?
ReplyDeleteI watched it. And I can't give Piers a pass on this one-he was worse than Larry King! Never pressed Cheney Mason alluding to CA's rough/troubled past-and bascially how we should all feel bad for her. Im guessing he was talking about how she accused the dad and brother of incest. Piers quoted most of what she said on the phone and it was pretty much Poor ME. The woman is a complete sociopath!
ReplyDeleteI think there should be a law where it should be illegal from making money off the murder of another human being.
ReplyDeleteShe's a sick person.
Laws can't really prevent people from making money after they're tried and found not guilty, though. Amanda Knox banked 4 million bucks from her notoriety. (Knox *might* be innocent of actually killing her roommate, though.) Anthony would be able to sell a thousand times more copies than Knox on her worst day.
ReplyDeleteI sometimes wonder how many people there are who get away with murder like this. Like that old woman in Elk City, Idaho, on the Montana-Idaho border, whose first husband accidentally ate some rat poison that was in his dinner. Or her second husband whose car accidentally went into first gear and crushed him against a tree while he was urinating with his wife in the passenger seat. There are probably thousands of murderers like Anthony and the Idahoan schoolteacher walking around this world.
Cathy, I'll chip in. Nothing would ever happen to her - she's teflon.
ReplyDeleteThere is a law, @strawberrygirl - the Son of Sam Law, but it only applies to convicted criminals.
ReplyDeleteTo quote the ever wise wikipedia: "In certain cases a Son of Sam law can be extended beyond the criminals themselves to include friends, neighbors, and family members of the lawbreaker who seek to profit by telling publishers and filmmakers of their relation to the criminal. In other cases, a person may not financially benefit from the sale of a story or any other mementos pertaining to the crime—if the criminal was convicted after the date lawmakers passed the law in the states where the crime was committed."
But, like I said, it only blocks convicted criminals of making money off a crime for which they've been convicted, I do believe.
ReplyDeleteBetween Casey Anthony and Lindsey Lohan I am slowly loosing faith in our justice system.
ReplyDeleteThere are no words in the English language available for me convey my intense hatred of this vile creature, she doesn't deserve to be referred to as human.
ReplyDeleteWell I caught part of the show last night, and what I saw is very different from what you're posting.
ReplyDeleteShe told Piers that she has deep shame for the person she used to be, that she is very aware of how she is perceived, and is ashamed of herself in the interviews she gave before she was arrested.
Her lawyer went on to describe what her life is like now, and blew out of the water the false claims that Radar has made both about her gaining so much weight that she's unrecognizable and how she is supposedly going to move to Costa Rica when her probation is over. Both not true.
Obviously only Casey knows what really happened. But she was found not guilty and is entitled to move forward with her life. Imagine if something this horrible had happened to someone in your family - wouldn't you want them to be able to have some sort of life?
Everyday people are found not guilty of all sorts of crimes, and they have to find a way to go forward and live their life. Her life won't be easy (that's an understatement), especially with the media reporting on her, but I think she deserves the chance. And please don't flame me by saying well Cayley doesn't have that chance. That's not what I'm talking about.
I don't think it's a spell check issue so much as an Iphone or Blackberry AutoCorrect. Seems like Enty must be typing these on his phone.
ReplyDeleteShe disgusts me. surfer, I see what you're saying, but I don't think she deserves the chance.
...and what's sad...there's someone out there who WILL probably pay her a million dollars to come to one of their birthday parties or make an appearance at some event.
ReplyDelete@Surfer...you are entitled to your opinion, but she's guilty. Too many obvious signs there and that's why people are so angry that the jury let her off the hook. It's the same thing with OJ. GUILTY!!!! Casey is a sociopath. She was partying after her daughter had already been missing for days and placed a heart sticker on her masking taped lips. She's a compulsive liar and can look people in the face and straight out lie without guilt. Sociopath. Guilty. Do not have any sympathy for this horrible murderer. She doesn't deserve it and she does not deserve any chance.
GDSlover, speaking of bad language, I was just remembering when I lived in Korea and I heard someone insult someone else. I asked my friend what it meant and he thoughtfully said, "It suggests that the other person is the diseased and illegitimate offspring of a dog who works as a prostitute. It also contains the unpleasant slang term for the vagina." If I could remember that phrase, I think we'd have a word that approximates Casey Anthony.
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeletetrey & crila16 - just to be clear, I wasn't commenting on whether or not I thought she was guilty. I wasn't suggesting that she wasn't responsible for her daughter's death. The fact is she was found not guilty, whether we like it or not. That's all.
ReplyDeletecrila16, on the "sociopathic" front, I am reminded that psychoanalysts define sociopaths/psychopaths in many ways, but an important one is: they enjoy "pulling one over on everyone" or getting away with something. Which makes the Anthony "not guilty" verdict really stick in my craw (wait, my craw? what? meh, you know what I mean)
ReplyDeleteThis bitch right here. Again last night, she had to tell everyone that she did not kill her daughter and that she was not a "party" girl and had "only a hand full of drinks since...." STOP. No one cares about your life now. You lied about the whereabouts of your daughter for 30 DAYS! You blamed the mysterious nanny, you blamed your Mom for being strict, you blamed your dad, then you tried to say it was an accident. If it was an accident, you could have called OCSO (Orange County Sherrifs office/911) and we would have never heard of your lying murdering ass. Any company that hires this bitch for anything should be boycotted.
ReplyDeleteCan not put into words how much I hate this woman. There is a special place in Hell for people who hurt children. Her daughter died because she got in the way of her mother being a useless whoring piece of shit. rant over
ReplyDelete^This
ReplyDeleteJust an arm chair detective lol but she seems/acts/looks like a Power Assertive killer. The murder is over when SHE says its over. And not a second before. Check out The Murder Room by Michael Capuzzo. Excellent read if you're into Forensic Psychology.
ReplyDelete@sufer I understand. I just think that being found not guilty of criminal conduct only entitles the person to be free of criminal liability. Moral judgement and derision from the general public are still completely justified in certain circumstances, and I think this is one.
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with surfer. She was not found guilty, no matter what anyone thinks, so we cannot CALL her guilty. Technicality, but true.
ReplyDeleteAnd I agree with the others who don't give a crap what she has to say, or what her life is like now, blah blah blah.
@surfer, regardless of what else she said, she still maintains her innocence, and that means she sticks by the story of her father and brother sexually abusing her, and her father's involvement in Caylee's death and subsequent coverup, all of which I believe are such revolting lies of the lowest caliber I can't even. She can rot.
ReplyDelete@Christina, ITA with you.
ReplyDeleteAlmost forgot what I came in to say. Very disappointed in Piers for providing Casey a platform because until she admits to causing Caylee's death, all she will ever do is lie.
ReplyDeleteThat's the thing, @angel! She shouldn't be on TV! She should go away quietly and we shouldn't have to hear from her again. All it does is get people riled up. Whether she murdered her daughter or not, she did some bad things. She doesn't deserve national air time, nor space in our heads.
ReplyDeleteASPD is genetic. Narcissist, sociopath, psychopath - that family had it all. We can only hope they remove themselves from the gene pool. She is guilty and should be kept away from decent people. Especially kids.
ReplyDeleteFor more info read Mask of Sanity, free online.
@Barton Fink, you totally nailed it! Casey is sitting home smiling and patting herself on the back for getting away with killing Caylee. It truly gives her great pleasure thinking she pulled one over on everyone!!! She really and truly thinks she is smarter than everyone else and the verdict confirmed it for her. She is the textbook definition of a sociopath!
ReplyDelete"Narcissist, sociopath, psychopath"
ReplyDelete^This. What prompts her to finally do an on air interview? Reports that she's become FAT. God forbid that anyone should think that! She is so transparent it would be laughable if it weren't so pathetic.
Thanks for the referrals @AuntJess and @__-__=__. I am fascinated by sociopathy.
ReplyDeleteAnd I suppose it makes me sound like a sociopath myself when I say this, but I'm in a supremely bad mood today so here goes: Where's Dexter when you need him?
@angel, ha, so true. You can call her a murderer of her own child, a psycho, Satan incarnate, and she shrugs it off. But call her "fat" and she goes ballistic. I'm sorry, but that truly is humorous.
ReplyDelete@Barton Fink...agree...you nailed it on the head. She's not capable of remorse and is sitting at home laughing about getting away with it.
ReplyDeleteSure - I can agree that Casey Anthony deserves a life going forward. Yes, she was found not guilty. But the problem isn't whether Casey Anthony deserves a life or whether she's guilty or innocent - the problem is that Casey Anthony's lawyer made a better case for doubt than the prosecution did for guilt, and that is why she was given a not guilty verdict. Not whether she actually killed that child. And now - CA wants to use that as justification to expect the public to change their opinion of her, and let her lead a free and easy "not-guilty" life. It's not going to work that way.
ReplyDeleteShe's not going to change the public opinion of herself. It's not going to happen no matter how many talk shows she goes on, no matter how many interviews - the damage is done. A child is dead. Her mother lied and behaved dispicably. She killed that child, regardless of the verdict. The public isn't going to forget this anytime soon. (Hello OJ)
If CA really wants a "life," then let her go find a house in the country. Get a legitimate, low-key job and do something useful with her life. Plant a garden, get a hobby, do something. Refuse the interviews, stop calling in to radio shows, serve your damn probation out and fulfill your legal obligations. Keep out of the public eye for a few years and maybe, just maybe, you can live without quite so much notoriety. Public opinion will move on. Do you think OJ would be in jail right now if he had kept his ass in Florida and quietly spent his time played golf? No - he had to go back to being "big time" and feeding his enormous ego and look where it landed him.
CA has gotten a taste of publicity and having her picture taken and having attention showered on her. She's not going to give that up - even negative attention is better than no attention at all. Look at Lindsay Lohan. So we will continue to hear from CA - we will continue to see her do the TV appearances and the talk shows and the interviews because she's addicted to the attention now and craves it. And this is what the public resents - that she's trying to shove this "not guilty" verdict down our throats as proof of her innocence and it's simply not going to work. She may be entitled to a life but it's NOT one in the headlines every day and her being treated as a celebrity. That's just going to fan the flames of public hatred. It's the same reason Lindsay Lohan is so reviled - because she's been given so many breaks and still feels entitled to have the public look at her as though she's innocent. People just don't buy it.
Damn - she's not moving to Costa Rica? Please at least get her the hell out of Florida - we have enough assholes here.
ReplyDeleteIt seems almost every day in Florida a toddler is found unconscious or dead in a swimming pool or pond or canal - we have a plethora of them here. Which just makes it even more obvious the "accidental" drowning is a lie. If true, it would have been believed and at worst, she might have been found guilty of child neglect or something similar and gotten probation. And her father, a former cop, would have known that. I just pity any future children she will have (and you know she'll have more kids)
@figgy ikr? If there was ever a person that needs to be added to his blood slide collection, its this bitch.
ReplyDeleteAnd she is watching/reading every single thing that airs/posts about her. I bet you she's reading this! To use her term-Obviously!
She might not want to do pool parties. I'm pretty sure lots of people will try to drown her.
ReplyDeleteFascinating thread of comments... thanks all. And thanks to AuntJess for the book rec. That stuff fascinates me.
ReplyDeleteNobody knows if she killed her daughter except for her and anyone who may have helped her cover things up after the fact. That in itself ia a fact. Whether it was blatant, intentional murder, an outright accident, or a death due to neglect (like not watching your kid because you're drunk and she falls in the pool and drowns), I think she and her father know. That is just my opinion, unlike the mindreaders around me, I don't caim to actually know. I think the Anthony family is already not too bright, so I wouldn't put it past any of them to have incriminated themselves for a far worse crime by trying to cover up an accident. But again, I wasn't there, so I don't know and won't rant about how Casey is the worst person who ever lived.
ReplyDeleteI know 12 jurors who would agree with you, discounting both deductive reasoning and common sense as a legitimate means to problem solve. If it's not available for viewing on a surveillance tape we can't convict, just like if the glove doesn't fit, you must acquit.
ReplyDeleteI think it was a case of the jury not knowing the difference between a "reasonable doubt" and "any doubt." Also, the proliferation of crime shows on TV over the last 20 years or so, in which cases usually end with either a convenient confession or last-minute absolute proof of guilt, has made people think that you practically need video of the crime being committed before you can find the accused guilty.
ReplyDeleteAlso, AKM, thanks to the delightful First Amendment, I can call Casey Anthony guilty all day long. Guilty, guilty, guilty, nasty whore is guilty ...
This Bitch.
ReplyDeleteIf anyone deserved to die in a fire, its her...
I don't want to seem to be defending this woman, however I can't help but remember how Gary Condit and Richard Jewell were once considered guilty by practically everyone in the country.
ReplyDeleteThere is considerable danger in convicting people in the popular press.
Also, I can't help but feel a modicum of affection for anyone Nance Grace hates so much.
Casey is sitting home smiling and patting herself on the back for getting away with killing Caylee.
ReplyDeleteI think she's so warped that she's convinced herself that she's innocent.
We need to both forget Casey and remember Caylee and it's impossible to do both.
She'll end up in prison for something else like OJ. His acquittal gave him the mistaken impression he was above the law and same will go for her. Just send her to Nevada and we'll find her guilty of something and throw her in the slammer just like we did with OJ.
ReplyDeleteSurfer, she deserves nothing but our complete indifference. If you really think she is remotely sorry for her actions, I have a unicorn to sell you. She is a pathological liar. And she wasnt found innocent, she was found not guilty. Very different. And even before she killed her daughter, I saw video of her ignoring her daughter while the child was begging her for a response She videoed it, like it was funny.. She is a blackhearted psycho bitch.
ReplyDeleteAuntLiddy: I never said, nor suggested that she was "innocent." So please don't go putting words in my mouth.
ReplyDeleteWhat I did say was that a jury found her "not guilty," and because of that, she is entitled to move forward with her life. Whether we like it or not. Again, I never said she didn't do this, so think before you pounce.
Shallow Gal, I can't help but agree with you. Just like OJ and Joran van der Sloot, I feel like this bitch will fuck up, leading her to the fiery gates of hell or prison or some such destiny.
ReplyDeleteI followed this trial ever so closely, and it baffles my brain that she was found not guilty. I think in this day and age, it is so much tougher for the prosecution than the defense in trials. This is of course based on my non-existent legal training. Just my opinion.
Anyone who defends her belongs in Florida with her and the 12 idiots who found her not guilty.
ReplyDeleteRip baby Calee...I feel nothing buy contempt n disgust for her°!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd only yesterday were people condemning the hysteria that led to Lindy Chamberlin being convicted of murdering her 9 week old baby when it was actually wild animals...
ReplyDeleteShe didn't kill her daughter- her father did.
ReplyDelete
