Alex Trebek Suffers Heart Attack
Alex Trebek, longtime host of the iconic game show Jeopardy!, was admitted into Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on Saturday after suffering a “mild heart attack.” It is his second heart attack, and just like after his first in 2007, he is expected to make a full recovery. Shooting for the new season of Jeopardy begins next month.
Hard to believe he is that old. Best wishes to him.
ReplyDeleteSo so glad he's okay. I watch jeopardy mostly every night that I'm not working. I started watching with my mom but she won't watch with me anymore cause I answer faster than her. Get better soon Alex!!!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear he's expected to make a full recovery and that his life's not in jeopardy.
ReplyDeleteLove you Alex, but it's time to retire...

ReplyDeleteIt's beacuse he shaved the 'stache. Its magical powers are no longer protecting his heart.
ReplyDeleteMy mother-in-law has always thought Alex Trebek is such a "good looking son of a gun" - always skeeved me out when we were at my in-laws during Jeopardy time.
ReplyDeleteIt's extra funny/cringeworthy because my MIL is 5'7" and pushing 250; she's built like a linebacker!
I always cringed when he'd "over-accent" something, if he says "Nicaragua," there's some serious tongue rolling going on.
ReplyDeleteHe's aging well. It's obvious he's got some work done but it's good work. I say that based on this picture and his headshot on IMDB because I just checked there for his b-day. Both shots he's wearing tuxedos but the buttons are different so another thing I am assuming based on two pictures is he goes to lots of fancy events.
The scary thing is though that usually more often than not "mild" heart attacks eventually lead up to severe ones, like how tremors lead up to big earthquakes; they're like warnings....
ReplyDeleteWasn't he already talking about retiring? Maybe this will be his last season. I hope he gets time to relax.
ReplyDeleteLOL, Cara. Magical 'stache, where did you go?! I wish Alex well...I would hate to see him retire, but if he needs to get more rest for his health, then I'll cry inside and accept it. I met Alex a couple of years ago when a very good friend was a contestant on the show. He is incredibly funny and charming, and as handsome in person as on air. I am trying to think of who could take over for him, and am drawing a blank. You need someone very intelligent to host Jeopardy.
ReplyDeleteI love Alex. I hope he gets better soon.
ReplyDelete... and Pat Sajak is in the wings twirling his own (metaphorical) mustache just waiting for his chance to host the show.
ReplyDeleteHe's 71 years old. Why on earth hasn't he retired yet? He's a very good looking 71.
