Adele Is Pregnant

Not wanting to let everyone in Hollywood have all the pregnancy fun, Adele announced that she is pregnant. It's funny because in her public statement she asked for privacy. If you want privacy, then the best thing to do is not say anything and to stay fairly quiet. All she has done is to make paps want to follow her to get photos of her baby bump. Have you seen any pap photos of Adele lately? Exactly. None. Now though there will be lots which is what she needs to stay in the public eye while she is not recording. Keep people focused until it is time to record and tour again. Is her boyfriend still married?

  4. Funniest comment about this came from Suri's Burn Book Twitter yesterday:

"Adele's baby: already trying to steal my thunder."

  5. Why is the media so interested in seeing a woman's baby bump, even if she is a celebrity? If she's announced she's pregnant, end of story unless something happens, or she has the baby.

    Ha!! That's hilarious!

I have no shade to throw at Adele here. She has such a beautiful voice, and I remember belting out Someone Like You every time I drove to my shop by myself just so I could have one of those good cries (and throw my hand around just like Xtina)

Also, I swear to the good Lord almighty that I'm not trying to be snarky, but I wonder if she said something about her pregnancy to circumvent any criticism about the weight she will gain? People have been very cruel about her size, and I think I would've done the same thing (I do not have a thick skin)

  9. But even if she hadn't announced it, she may not have still gotten privacy. Look at how Reese Witherspoon was still followed and papped for several months before finally confirming. I think Adele probably also announced so that people would not speculate about her weight gain, since she had recently lost quite a bit. I'm happy for her regardless; she's not a famewhore, has actual talent, and seems like a genuinely nice person. Congrats to her!

  11. I know this is going to sound mean, but no one would have known for a long time. I wonder how far along she really is. Maybe the kid will be born by the end of this year?

  13. I think there is a big difference announcing you are pregnant on your web page (which I think Adele did) and getting a People magazine cover announcing you are pregnant and asking for privacy.

Didn't you bitch about Reese W not saying anything?

I don't understand why people care so much about celebrity pregnancies, or as others mentioned, the baby bump. This just means that we are going to hear about Adele non-stop again. I don't mind her but back in February, it was getting to be too much.

    To quote Vicki Cupper ..
    "Entwood" - Anita got you!

  17. Even though we don't see pictures of her here in the US that often, I think the paps in England never stopped mobbing her, so I don't think her asking for privacy was part of a PR move.

  19. I don't have a problem with the announcement/privacy request. It's like, "Yes, I'm pregnant. Now you know, and now I ask that you please leave it at that." Fair enough, I think!

Hi Sherry! I hope you're having a good weekend. Hugs to you. :-)
