Roy Horn Accused Of Sexual Assault

Apparently you don't want to be a masseur for John Travolta or do any kind of work for Roy Horn. Roy is part of the whole Siegfried & Roy team. Roy was the one mauled by a tiger. Now, according to TMZ he does his own kind of mauling. There is a video that an accuser has and that TMZ watched which shows Roy grabbing the groins of workers, reaching under the shirt of others and playing with their nipples, while forcibly kissing another on the lips. Yeah, the employees are suing and they are going to win big. Pretty tough to say you are not sexually assaulting someone when it is all on tape. I don't know why people think they can get away with assault just because they are celebrities.

  5. nice to see the tables turning for the little guys

But really, why force someone when you can easily send out for rent boys and pay for it.

  6. Roy's worse then JT!
He needs to be charged with assault, do they not realize that other men may not want to be touched?

  7. I want to be touched...just not by another guy.

  8. The thought of this gives me douche chills.

  9. They are aging so gracefully. I like the one on the right's lady hair, leather pants and sharp belt buckle. Oh, I guess he's Roy.

To go on yesterday's "argument," that's one embarrassed looking cat.

  11. Maybe he inappropriately touched that tiger.

The tiger in that photo is the cutest thing ever.

  13. This is getting depressing. Apparently wealthy celebs lacking any sense of common decency assume no one else has any either. bleh

  14. a guy emailed our local radio station after they aired this story. He is a caregiver for stroke victims and said strokes (and brain injuries) often affect the censoring portion of the brain. This kind of inappropriate behaviour is very common. He was pretty disgusted, as a health professiona, that RH was videotaped and is being sued.

  15. I do not wish to make any excuses for him but when mauled by that lion he suffered some serious brain damage which apart from the reduction of physical and mental capabilities, also causes lapses in a persons ability to make sound judgements.

As I say, no excuse for his behaviour but there may be mitigating circumstances.

  16. Straight from the John Travolta chool of macking!

  17. What Cagey and Raymonda said. My first thought was brain damage from his attack.

  18. I was going to say what cageykiwi and Raymonda said. If this has always happened, sue him. If this has only started since the accident, get him help (and he needs to retire). Traumatic brain injuries (and strokes) can cause impulse-control issues and lack of judgement. Until I know more about it, I just feel sad for him that his life has turned into this.

  19. Roy is retired, he relies on a wheelchair mostly. He is still very damaged from his ordeal.
I'm waiting to see if this behavior is from before the tiger incident and his subsequent strokes, or after.

  20. Agree with everyone else, was this happening before the accident? Because it sounds like brain injury. Not defending him but the tiger basically feasted on his head.

I saw them perform years ago and the show was really good. Roy seemed really emotionally attached to the animals, maybe a bit more than Siegfried.

  21. A hundred years ago when I was 19 I saw their show in Vegas. It was amazing!!!!

  22. IF all those tigers could talk they'd say KARMA'S A BITCH!!!!

Seriously- I will not go to a Circus and I would never go to a Siegfried and Roy "show".

I think I actually fought the urge to applaud when I heard he was mauled by that tiger.

  23. Ditto about the brain injury and inappropriate behavior. I too think its appalling that these people made a video and are suing IF it began happening after his accident... Which I have to believe it did, because that was a long time ago. Years.

The thing about Roy. Say what you will, but he really did have an almost supernatural ability to communicate with animals. Some of those tigers lived with him, I'm talking about inside the house as pets. He believes the tiger sensed his stroke and dragged him offstage. I sort of believe it too.

  24. Oh Sylvia, I thought had written, "At least they have poof."

  25. I lived in Cali when they were performing. I remember comedians cracking jokes years ago about Roy and his grabby hands.

  26. So basically if you've had some sort of head injury it's ok to molest people.

Some weird logic going on here.

If he is that bad its the responsibility of his people to have a nurse or companion for him at all times.

  27. What the HELL is the matter with you people thinking that a disability gives a person permission to assault and sexually harass anyone?

For the record, Roy is sufficiently mentally sound to make business decisions. But even if he was mentally disabled, he still would not be excused from deliberately causing harm to anyone else. If he was out of control, then it would be up to those legally responsible for him to protect him and his caretakers from himself.

But as I mentioned, he's apparently sufficiently sound of mind to do business, so you can't claim it's because he can't help himself.

This lawsuit has been in the works for years. The Enquirer got the tapes back in 2009 and did a story on the suit. After the first victim filed suit and provided the video evidence, several other former employees who'd suffered similar assaults came forward and joined the suit. And they named at least a dozen other former caretakers who'd also been subjected to not just harassment, but actual assault.

And by the way, these guys have said his partner treated the staff in the same way. The only difference was, he stopped when they told him no. Roy wouldn't stop, probably because he got off on having the financial power to subject grown, able men to such indignities, even though he was physically disabled.
