This is what the world has come to. It used to be you telling the person who sat next you in class who would tell someone else who would tell someone else who would pass a note to someone at lunch to let some final person know that you either liked them or didn't like them anymore. Over the years, technology has not made it any more personal and the same things happen via text messages, wall posts, or something as trivial as following or unfollowing someone on Twitter.
In the past day or so, Rihanna finally unfollowed Chris Brown after he released a remix of a song which accused Rihanna of sleeping with everyone in the industry and that he was going to smash her. So, Rihanna who had refollow Chris last year and defended it by saying it was Twitter and not the altar, unfollowed him. Chris Brown followed suit and took a dig at Rihanna by saying he did not name names so someone must be feeling guilty. Hmmm. If only he would feel guilty for beating her when he was the one cheating. Was that a bruise on his current girlfriend's arm I saw the other day?
Oh wow, shit's gettin' real. Next she'll say something about him in her facebook status.
ReplyDelete(insert eye roll)
lmao, Vicki. Now I'm off to find some paper towels so I can clean the yogurt I just snarfed off my monitor.
ReplyDeletewhat a classy guy he is that cris brown *snark*
ReplyDeleteI hope this has been a bucket of cold water to riri and she starts putting her sh*t back together
And the sun will rise in the morning. Both of these tricks need to stop. I heard someone the other day compare then to Ike and Tina. I laughed and said the only thing they had in common with them was that there was a history of violence.
ReplyDeleteWhy do we still worship these two? They are both almost as low as they can be.
ReplyDeleteI still don't understand how he didn't get wiped out of the industry after that, AND only got community service. HE REARRANGED HER FACE. Everyone saw the photos. I don't understand how people (fans and artists alike) can reconcile that with themselves?
ReplyDeleteAs for her, she needs to go away for a minute, get her ish together with intensive therapy, and come back and take things seriously again.
I was living in Richmond, VA when he served some of his community service. Part of it was picking up trash on the side of interstate 64/95, and I can tell you that he at LEAST enjoyed a good bit of heckling and trash-pelting. Not that it really makes up for his ridiculous sentence, but at least a few people gave him a small portion of what's coming to him!
DeleteI just hope that her "un-following" him is a sign that her friends that actually care about her are having some success in getting her life back under control...
ReplyDeleteOh big deal theyll be back "following" each other in no time. If beating her up doesnt make her leave I doubt a song will.
ReplyDeleteit appears that chris needs a brain transplant.
ReplyDeleteI love how Rihanna is now as low as Chris for some of you. *sighs*
ReplyDeleteIm so sick of hearing about these two. I could care less about who follows who on a twitter! The people who r wondering why he still is successful, look at charlie sheen, tom lee and countless of others who have abused women. He is no better or worse than those other dudes that continue to work and have success.
ReplyDeleteis this like when these morons 'quit' Twitter, and then rejoin it the next week? So what if they unfollow one another. Tomorrow is another day.
ReplyDeleteI am not making fun of the Holocaust, but I think we need a celebrity gas chamber. Chris Brown, the Lohans, the Kardashians, Newt Gingrich, ... all the famewhores and useless pieces of turd of society. Just put them all in there and "Turn up the music" until they all go to sleep.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful world this would be.
I love that him beating the shit out of her didn't make her stop talking to him, but this did.
ReplyDeleteShe is a fucking mess, with no self esteem.
G, could you use some other analogy than celebrity gas chamber? Celebrity jail, celebrity fire pit. Whatever. You clearly know that a reference to a gas chamber is offensive. It IS. NO ONE should EVER be joking about a gas chamber. It is *incredibly* offensive to Jews, and unnecessary when there are so many other terms you can use.
ReplyDeleteLayna -- Rihanna isn't as low as Chris. We just don't like her for what she has done and how she has returned to him. The difference between Rihanna and Chris Brown is that if, tomorrow, Rihanna were to come out and apologize for returning to her abuser, and explain that she realizes now that what he did was wrong, I would go right back to her side. She can still be redeemed. If Chris Brown were to come out tomorrow and say that he was sorry for the abuse and he was wrong, I wouldn't believe him. Because abuse has no redemption, but being abused and returning does.
ReplyDeleteG, they should turn Wyoming into just one giant Battle Royale for famewhores like the people you mentioned. The winner would get to live his or her life out in absolute obscurity.
ReplyDeleteExactly how old are these two?
ReplyDeleteOh Vicki, Seachica might take offense to that there are Jews living in Wyoming.
ReplyDelete@ Seachica
ReplyDeleteI started my post by saying that I wasn't making fun of the Holocaust. My comment was not intended to be insensitive or "offensive" or to trivialize the death of millions of people.
However, since you brought it up ...
Gas chambers were used to kill people as part of capital punishment for decades.
Secondly, it seems as if the Jews are the only ones that have the Holocaust attached to their legacy in such a "woe is us" "don't ever forget" demeanor. Anyone considered inferior was killed. While Jews were more than half of the people killed other groups such as the Poles or Slavics were also killed. I think it is offensive that Jews trivialize the killing of other groups because there were "more Jews" than the others. It's not only about numbers.
Even YOUR statement is that my statement is "*incredibly* offensive" to the Jews. You didn't even acknowledge the populations that were killed such as the Slavics or Romanians? It's only offense to the Jews. Your statement validates EXACTLY the point how the Holocaust is only about the Jews when it isn't.
Ugh. So over both of these two.
ReplyDeleteHad to laugh at Tina Fey's dig @ Chris last night on 30 Rock. She just said what we're all thinking...
@Meg - AH! I was going to mention that! Her quote exactly, "I reject Chris Brown's comeback! Lemon Out!"
ReplyDelete@Amber - I know. I continue to wonder the same thing. My theory is that he is still accepted, within the industry at least, because he has something pretty big on someone who is a higher up. We've all heard about how much molestation goes on and I think this is what may have happened.
ReplyDeleteI don't get his appeal at all. He looks like a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle, his voice sounds whiny and his personality leaves a lot to be desired. Oh, and HE SEVERELY BEAT HIS GIRLFRIEND. It boggles the mind.
Trash.
ReplyDeleteThese two are so disgusting and stupid.
ReplyDeletenot to defend the piece of shit, but the "smash" was slang for sex like the Jersey fucks taught us.
ReplyDeletegroan.
and Rhianna was "hospitalized for exhaustion" two nights ago in NYC.
we all know where this is heading, i've been calling it for months.
What song remix was it?
ReplyDeleteTrick or Trash. Neither of them has much socially redeeming value at this point.
ReplyDeleteI'm appalled that Chris gets hired.
He is a poor excuse for a man. RiRi should be in heavy duty therapy, or I fear she will be gone completely soon.
I will not feed the troll. I will not feed the troll. I will not feed the troll
ReplyDeleteI think it is complete ridiculous that anyone would need for a victim of domestic violence to appologize for returning to their abuser in order for them to like her again. It isnt a good decision, but it is one that victims make all of the time... when you hear that noone wants you, likes you, loves you or accepts you other than your abuser, you start to believe it after awhile. I think it is pretty obvious that RiRi is working through a lot of issues, and maybe, just maybe, we should cut her a little slack on the chris brown issue.
ReplyDeleteLori, you took the words out of my mouth...er, fingers.
ReplyDeleteHe's a piece of shit. I don't know why the industry keeps rewarding him and therefore validating the awful things he did. How did his team ever let a song like that see the light of day - it mustn't matter anymore.
ReplyDelete@G, I didnt see anywhere where Seachica trivialized the deaths of other cultural or racial groups or privileged jewish deaths in any way. Its crazy that you would even assume that. Seachica merely asked that you dont use such a loaded term, (which I agree with you- offends many, many people) when there are plenty others to get the point across. You took a broad swipe at offending all those groups you mentioned, and even more considering those you neglected, by using the offensive term you did. It was your choice, not Seachica's.
ReplyDeleteG-
ReplyDeleteJews don't forget that many others were killed, Jewish Holocaust museums around the world memorialize not only Jews but all the other people;ethnic groups, political prisoners, homosexuals and those who tried to save Jews etc. who perished. The reason Jews bring it up so often is to try and keep history from being repeated (not that it helps, Cambodia, Loas, former Yugoslavia and now Africa). Jewish organizations did and have done much to try and help others because of the Holocaust. Have you?
