@Jasmine, according to Alec, his resurgence of handsomeness has to do with cutting sugar out of his diet and doing more cardio. About two months ago I cut way, way, way back on all sugars but fruit. I haven't really lost much weight to speak of, but my skin is very improved and my eyes seem brighter and more youthful looking. I've read that it takes at least 90 days to really detox from sugar. I'll be interested to see if I continue to see improvement.

ReplyDeleteI've heard about the "4 rule" regarding sugar- that is dont have food that has sugar listed in the first 4 ingredients- but this has proved to be SOOOO hard to maintain! So Im super impressed when people can do it :)
Seriously- they've added corn syrup into literally every fucking thing out there. Once I heard that corn syprup and it's counterparts actually help to increase your appetite and food consumption I've tried to stay away but it's in everything! Even breads that look healthy have it and even Special K has it listed!!!

ReplyDeleteSo true about corn syrup being in everything! I don't eat sugar/corn syrup and most Nature's Own breads do not have it. I use the "Double Fiber" whole wheat one. Just an FYI in case you were looking for sugar free bread. :)

ReplyDelete@Jasmine, msgirl, and RenoBlondee - You are all so right about how insidious sugar and ESPECIALLY corn syrup is. I have turned into an obsessive label reader. I think cutting all types of sugar out of your diet completely is impossible for those of us with normal bank accounts. I'd say that I've cut my sugar intake by 80 or 85%, maybe more. One of the hardest things to cut back for me were lactose sugars. Those are the ones in dairy products. I love milk, so switching to unsweetened almond milk has been tough. I've heard there is a new unsweetened flax milk that tastes better than almond milk. Plain Greek yogurt is also a good dairy food without too much sugar. Plus, it is loaded with protein.

ReplyDeleteLadies (and Jada), there comes a time when a deep V front dress is not for you. Passing decade 3.5 and/or having and breastfeeding children could be indicators of that time. Admittedly, it's different for each lady. It is possible that you can prolong that time with some well placed sewn in padding and/or body tape, but if you put your deep V front dress on and your nipples are pointing downward or at -25 degrees or worse, than it's time to stop wearing dresses that don't allow for proper supportive undergarments. Okay, let's get back to camera 1.

It is my fervent wish that Eva does a cameo on the Young and the Restless, especially now there's a big storyline around Isabella's and Paul's son. I like her dress here, but I could see it on someone with a little more curve, and full-length.
Jessica Chastain and Frieda Pinto could be so much MORE. Their perpetually poor styling just detracts from their natural beauty. Could you girls PLEASE pay a proper stylist? For God's sake, I'm not in Hollywood and I know the names of the good ones. Jessica works constantly, she can absolutely afford it.
