Norway Declares A State Of Emergency Because Of Justin Bieber
Police in Norway threatened to declare a state of emergency if Justin Bieber fans did not calm down. Seriously? Not a natural disaster or economic disaster or Oprah slipping and falling in the tub, they actually were going to declare a state of emergency because of a bunch of 15 year old girls. Justin announced he was having a free show on his Twitter. That started thousands of teen girls descending on the Opera House in Oslo. They overwhelmed the streets and boating system. There was just not enough room for them all. So, the police begged Justin to have them all be calm or they would cancel the show and declare a state of emergency and send all of them home with a note to their parents about how this would go on their permanent record and affect any chance of them getting into school. You know, those threats were such crap. Did your college or university ever ask your school for the file they had on you? They just wanted grades and your standardized test scores.
Re what my college wanted: I was asked by BU if I was related to Pecksuot so they could get me some additional scholarship money.
ReplyDeleteLe sigh....
ReplyDeleteThis is why Bieber has such an inflated ego, he thinks he is a Beatle.
ReplyDeleteShame on you Norway, shame.on.you.
I'm kind of looking forward to the days when he will be on a show like "Where Are They Now?" and we will be like, "Oh yeah he was really popular once, wasn't he?"
ReplyDeleteThe permanent record threat works best on the uninformed. When I was in 11th grade I had some classes in the adjacent elementry school. We would get their morning announcements in our room. One day the principal was going on about getting milk money in on time and for those who didn't...(drum roll) it was going on their permanment records. Of course, my class burst into laughter at that, but I'm sure some 6 year olds were shaing in their shoes.
ReplyDelete@anita_mark, you took the words... the sigh right out of my mouth.
ReplyDeleteI still can't stand the little girl lolol.

ReplyDelete@anita_mark...LOL!!! You also took the words out of my mouth.
ReplyDeleteThis is bullshit. Yes, there were thousands of unruly, screaming girls. But no, the police never threatened to declare a state of emergency. And never threatende to put put anything on the girls' records - and if they had it wouldn't matter in getting into school.
ReplyDeleteWhy is this guy still drawing this kind of crowd? When I was younger, these cheesy teen idol types never lasted more than a few years. Justin Bieber has been super-famous for far too long.

ReplyDeleteThey've got Bieber Fever! I would too if I was a 12 year old girl.
ReplyDeleteIs that the herp? Because I can totally see him having it. He seems slimy.
DeleteThat picture shows nothing THIS is how big the crowd actually was http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m4wew4DhP61rq4vz9o1_500.jpg no wonder the police were scared
ReplyDeleteYeah, shit like this prolly DOES make him feel like Beatle. But whatevs. We all know that UNLIKE a Beatle, he will fall victim to the tides of washed up teen heartthrobs.

All of them thought their shit was hot because a bunch of mindless tweens screamed their name. They let that be worth more than say, god forbid, quality output of songs. And they all spent the days after fame moved on from them reeling from how far they had to fall. Im not hoping it with glee (okay maybe a little) but eventually if you dont have the talent and dedication to producing quality stuff (and sometimes, even if you do), fame always eats it's young and turns its back on you. Justin Biebs is so far up his own ass he'll definitely be one who wont see this coming. ah well ;-P
Timebob, don't just blame Norway - apparently they were streaming in from all over Europe.
ReplyDelete"So, the police begged Justin to have them all be calm"
ReplyDelete**Snort** Sorry, just picturing 80lb Bieber being told that he needed to calm his fans down b/c the police/gov'mt couldn't handle it.
I don't think anyone ever pulled the permanent record line on me?
