Meagan Good Has Never Had Sex With Her Fiance
Think Like A Man actress Meagan Good really wants to get married soon. The reason? She told Life & Style that she is celibate and that she is waiting until she gets married to have sex with him. They have been going out a year and are just now planning the wedding. This is interesting because she is not a virgin, just decided that with this man she was going to be celibate until marriage. I think it is one thing to save your virginity for marriage, but the whole celibacy thing after having sex for many years is confusing. She says it is because of her religious beliefs. I can understand that. I also think its funny that Life & Style used a photo of her from an OK! Magazine party.
TMI
ReplyDeleteShe's free to do what she wants and if her fiancé is ok with waiting than good for them.
I think that it is commendable for her to remain celibate if that is what she has decided is the best thing for her. People can go through periods of celibacy for a variety of reasons, regardless of whether or not they were virgins to begin with.
ReplyDeleteBorn again virgins, I believe that is the term
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry who is this girl?
ReplyDeleteWell, she has publicly stated that when she was not celibate, it caused a lot of issues for her. She did what a lot of women do, confuse love with sex and etc., and that becoming celibate made it easier for her to see what it was that she wants. The guy is actually quite religious (is on his way to becoming or is a minister) and she found it easier to know what she wanted in the relationship. It's not confusing at all for us women to become celibate.
ReplyDeleteGood for her. If it were me, however, I'd need to take him on a test drive. I couldn't sign up for a wedding until I saw what was under his hood.
ReplyDelete@BlackCat.. born again virgin..that's funny:)
ReplyDeleteI don't know who this chick is, but she sure is pretty in a sultry way.

ReplyDeleteI commend her on doing that...
ReplyDeleteNothing wrong with being revirginized. I just hope her intended is doing the same.
ReplyDeleteObviously it's her decision, but I agree that it doesn't make much sense. The losing one's virginity thing isn't something that can be undone, and if she's already had sex with this guy, what possible difference can it make? Sounds to me like Ms. Good saw an opportunity to get herself some publicity.
ReplyDeleteI hope they make it.
ReplyDeleteI think this whole congratulating or making a production of your bedroom policies is weird. If someone goes around talking about how many people they bedded and how great sex is, they are not congratulated. Why should it be the other way around. What you do in your bedroom is your own business as long as it's legal. Good for her, I guess, for sticking to her guns. Know what? I haven't drank a soda in a year. Where's my cookie?
ReplyDeleteI'm certain I've seen all sorts of media outlets other than Vanity Fair publish photos of stars at the Vanity Fair magazine party each year.
ReplyDeleteYesterday it was virginity. Today is celebacy. What's next...people who have sex on their wedding night? Oh my!
ReplyDeleteGet over it. To each his/her own. This is non-news and most of us don't even know who she is.
This just reminds me of Wedding Crashers, and Isla Fisher claiming she was a virgin because that's what she thought guys liked.
ReplyDeleteSigh. I love that movie.
It makes sense to me, I don't find it confusing at all. Maybe she wanted it to be special, she wanted to treat this relationship differently than she has in the past. What's the big deal?
ReplyDeleteI do agree with the "why are you making a production out of your bedroom policy" statements though. We don't need to know this stuff.
downnnnn lowwwwww.
ReplyDeleteI've had a crush on her since she was on Californication. I respect the celibacy thing, but getting married after only a year of being together seems a bit early to me for someone who claims she gets confused about the difference between love and sex.
ReplyDeleteI think if its good for them both then why not! Honestly i would need at least once around to know what im getting into!
ReplyDelete@Robert - She hasn't had sex with him yet.
ReplyDeleteAnd I agree with the others who hae said that this shouldn't be confusing. Many of us have made the same decision, and people have the right to change their minds at any point in their lives. I've had sex before. I don't want to again unless I'm married. My decision, my business.

ReplyDeleteOkay- I get the whole mentality behind waiting to have sex again (until it's the right one for you) because you've confused sex and love (havent we all ;) BUUTTTTT what's dumb to me is she obviously HAS found the one, she's marrying him, and she is weirdly sticking this out like she actually IS a virgin.
ReplyDeleteThat's where it seems like the belief system in place that led to her reclaiming her celibacy has overridden common sense to me.
You stopped having sex cause it was confusing you and hurting you to mess around with guys that prolly only wanted that but you have a fiance and now you're waiting for a piece of paper when you never did before?
I concur with Robert on this one. Publicity. Why overshare your complicated-ass sexual life with us for no reason?
Eh, I got the impression it started out as a waiting thing and it became a marriage thing once his religios views became accepted by both. I didn't find her to be publicizing it but she did give an explanation in the attempt to encourage more women, particularly young women to not rush into sex in their relationships (message of her character in Think Like a man).
ReplyDeleteShe looks Megan Foxish in this picture. Bad picture or has she been messing with her face?
ReplyDeleteI think her reason is a certain blind item involving the Situation...
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I had both been around the parking lot a few times, but when we decided to get married, we decided to wait. We wanted our wedding night to be special.
ReplyDeleteHer fiancé is also a preacher or something and very prominent in his church (Seventh Day Adventist) so this is the real reason, I heard he wanted it this way.
ReplyDeleteThere is such a thing called sexual chemistry and I would hate to find out on my wedding night that my husband didn't have it.
ReplyDeleteAjg74 is correct the REAL reason she is celibate in this relationship is because her fiancé is a Seventh Day Advintist Pastor and he was the one who believed in waiting before marriage. Meagan's been popping the nussy for years Lmbo!!
ReplyDeleteWhy must we know who is having sex and who isn't? I don't remember broadcasting this stuff when I was single or engaged. It seems like using your private life for publicity.
ReplyDeleteOn a side note, my cousin (who was a 40 year old virgin), married a Baptist minister who did the same thing to her. They are not happy right now.
