Lindsay Lohan Wants A Better Richard Burton
Is there any petition that you have seen online to pick Dean McDermott as Richard Burton for the Lifetime movie starring Lindsay Lohan? I would actually chip in a couple of bucks if Lifetime would cast him. He can't cost much more than scale and I think he would bring his A game to the performance. Apparently Lindsay is not happy with the casting choices for Richard Burton. I think she thought she was going to get an Academy Award winning actor in his 20's she could grope everyday and drag with her to clubs so she could feel relevant and didn't realize this is a Lifetime movie that blew its budget on Starbucks at the production meeting last week.
Lindsay saw the tapes of the auditions and wants to fly to London to find an actor there. Umm, what she wants is a free vacation where she can get wasted out of her mind away from the paps. Lindsay needs to face it. She is going to get some actor who is not even a lead on a television show and who will probably be as bad as Lindsay. If I'm the producers I'm hoping Lindsay does something stupid and gets arrested just to get me out of the contract. This is going to be a truly awful movie. But what really gets me is ten years from now when everyone has forgotten just how truly awful it was, Lindsay will keep reminding everyone in every interview that she played Elizabeth Taylor.
She's delusional. It's very sad...and hilarious.
ReplyDeleteMaybe Beiber could play Eddie Fisher? Or Nicky Hilton.
ReplyDeleteOf the 3 top actors being considered for the role, I think they should cast Matthew Settle from Gossip Girl just because he most closely resembles Burton.
ReplyDeleteLindsey = what living in denial looks like. Clueless.
There's something else going on here. She wants them to pay her way to London because that will include her entourage and she'll want to set other business deals while she's there. If she's seen "casting" and taking meetings about other roles in London/Europe, she thinks it will raise her professional cred. Two bits says this request for the London trip came when she saw news coverage of the Cannes Festival and thought she should be there -- on Lifetime's dime.
ReplyDeleteShe suggested Gerard Butler, that way she could f--k him again..oh yes he went that low and probably lower...gross
ReplyDeleteIt could be the recipe for a tragically bad cult classic like "Boom!" was for Taylor-Burton.
DeleteWhat a rare and delicate beauty.
ReplyDeletePls sit lindsay! You are lucky lifetime still wants you....so pathetic!!
ReplyDeleteThe producers are getting exactly what the wanted. Her name to get the tune-in-for-the-train-wreck ratings and publicity.
ReplyDeleteYeah I'll be skipping this episode of masterpiece theatre. Maybe if I'm lucky I can dig out my old copy of the Liz Taylor Story starring Sherilyn Fenn and Angus Mcfayden. I for sure as shit know the acting will better.
ReplyDeleteI dont feel sorry for them. They r the ones that hired the ho. What did they expect.
ReplyDeleteI'd like a better Elizabeth Taylor.
ReplyDeleteAnd don't blast me cause of my last line (pun intended). I don't know her so I really don't care if she survives or not.
ReplyDeleteMegley, I don't think anyone that DOES know her really cares.
ReplyDeleteLook at how bloated she is.
ReplyDeletenot just her ego that's inflated.
I was about to say the same exact thing. Coke will do that to ya.
Deletediscoflux, EXACTLY.
ReplyDeleteI also do not feel bad for the producers. You hired this fuckwad.
You guys are right -- the producers couldn't *buy* this level of PR. The ratings when this film is aired will be impressive.
ReplyDeleteWow, the self-entitlement and delusion wafts off this trick. I've said it before and I'll say it again, this POS movie will never be completed and aired. They already had to move the production to LA from Toronto because they couldn't get insurance for her in Canada. Now this means she's going to have all of her posse and her active social life going on while she's supposed to be filming. Ain't no way this slut will make it through filming clean.
ReplyDeleteYuck. Why can't she just go away? Like to college or something.
ReplyDeleteI think they should just get Rob Lowe to play Burton. He's already shown he's willing to do crappy Lifetime movies. I really don't care. They've already lowered the bar considerably casting Lohan.
ReplyDeleteLooks like she won't make it through casting clean!
ReplyDeleteWatch her blow even this. Lifetime's not going to be able to afford her and will let her go.
ReplyDelete^I agree that she will blow this and not finish it. That's exactly what's gonna happen.
ReplyDeleteIs she serious???? She just wants to be cast opposite a hot guy that she can have sex and do drugs with in between takes. A guy that will give her insentive to WANT to get out of bed in the morning. This is all a game to her. What a mistake casting her as Elizabeth. It's a disgrace to Elizabeth who just rolled over in her grave.
ReplyDeleteI feel sorry for whomever they choose to play Burton. Does Lindsay have final say on who it it? Who would give her that much power?
ReplyDeleteI'm on the train for this not getting finished, or at least not a viewable product.
I wonder if the billionaire boyfriend is paying for this. What producers in their right mind are thinking that this disaster is going to be worth the cash to make it. I know I sure as hell won't watch it.
ReplyDeleteOoo...I had forgotten about Angus McFadyen...but I love the idea of a bad American actor trying to pull off a raging Welsh acting icon. WTF kinda movie will this be? I know its Lifetime, but wow this is going to be a total dumpster fire. And the start filming June 4. Who waits to a few weeks before casting a major role? Like Lohan has any say in who they cast. She is truly delUUUsional...
ReplyDeleteI don't see how she has enough pull to have a say in this. She's lucky she landed the part in the first place.
ReplyDelete@donner Have you seen Macfadyen lately? Homeboy is looking more Henry VIII than Burton/Robert the Bruce. Gave me a sad face when I saw him in the We Bought a Zoo movie.
ReplyDeleteit's true they are getting so much publicity. I can't remember the last Lifetime movie I watched, probably 10 years ago. Now I only watch Project Runway which was better on Bravo. But I'm totally excited to watch this train wreck at least just to follow along with everyone live tweeting making jokes.
ReplyDeleteSomeone on ONTD suggested Eddie Cibrian, and I think that's perfect! (Not a perfect Burton, but a perfect co-star for LiLo.)
ReplyDeleteSeriously, it need to happen. Leann would be SO hilarious to watch
Delete(And it would be hysterical watching LeAnn attempt to stay glued to his hip, because she'd know he'd be screwing LiLo the second she let him out of her sight.)
ReplyDeleteWith that bloated drug face she will only be able to play Liz in her "later" years.
ReplyDeleteI hope this story is true. Lilo's delusions are so amazingly funny to me, I've never been pumped for a Lifetime movie before -- hope she doesn't blow it before it starts filming, hah! Love her, such a mess! XD
ReplyDeleteI thought that was a pic of Courtney Love...
