Didn't Kate Gosselin say a few months ago how happy she was that her show on TLC was being canceled and that she didn't want to be on television anymore? Well, she must be missing those huge paychecks and all the attention because she is begging networks to give her another show. Somehow she managed to talk herself onto the Today show this week and said that her kids all want to be on television so she is trying to make it happen. Yeah, her kids. So, she is doing it all for the kids. No one wants to see Kate on television any longer. She had her chance and people couldn't stand her. Why do people want to watch someone who is mean and is obviously angry all the time. I think Kate thought she would still get big speaking fees and more book deals but those dry up quickly and the fees shrink when you are not on television. Here is a piece of advice for her. I think she should try radio. That might work.

ReplyDeleteFame is fleeting. I feel bad for her kids and Octo's kids because in the end they are/will suffer financially. I have no wish to see that, but I am so tired of these women thinking they'll be in the reality show money if they birth enough kids.

ReplyDeleteI've never hated her as much as I'm supposed to, but I can see she has some problems. That husband, for instance! But I think it will be healthier for her to live outside of the spotlight, living on investment income (I'm hoping she invested!) and taking care of her children. Those kids are angels.
ReplyDeleteFrom an evil point of view, she was Reality Gold. She was more powerful than an entire cast full of Basketball Wives, Dance Moms and Orange County Housewives put together. Whatever is wrong with her, it's very telegenic.
she reminds me of the Glenn Close character Marquise Isabelle de Merteuil in Dangerous Liaisons at the end the look of horror on her face when the society has shunned her.

ReplyDeleteFrom all accounts, she wasn't a very nice person, even when she was on DWTS. "Nightmare" is more like it. If you behave like a total diva who is downright nasty to people, then eventually, no one is going to want to work with you. Even people with significantly more talent have learned this the hard way.

No she did not say she was glad the program was cancelled. She said she wanted to stay in TV because we all know the $$ is good for doing nothing (reality tv). But since she got so full of herself and treated people like shit she has found herself unemployable. Not sure why she ever thought she was immune from being blacklisted. Karma is a bitch however, and it letting us see it extract it's revenge...As G said, one down..a few more to go..

ReplyDeleteShe lives very well--in an estate type house on a lot of property--has new cars, her kids have been in private schools. They were very well paid for their show--if she would scale back to a normal lifestyle she probably could do well on some kind of part time nursing job but would need to live in a regular house without paid domestic help and paid security and all the trimmings.
ReplyDeleteJon has evidently pulled his shit together and gotten a real job, a steady girlfriend and gotten back with his family. It seems like when he was with Kate and after--having his mid-life crisis--he was cut off from them. Sounds like he is back to his old pre-tv pre-8 kids self and doing ok. I don't think Kate was ever ok....I think she has always been a manipulative, needy person---and she parlayed her multiples into some semblance of fame---but unfortunately people saw a little too much of who she really is.
I feel sorry for those kids--they probably are ok in a material sense but I don't think she is a very loving person--she seems to be kind of messed up and she is the main person in their lives.
I cant get over how she danced on dwts! Thats enough for me!
