So, you are in the military and go overseas. You leave behind your family including your wife and six kids including a six year old son who has cerebral palsy. When you went overseas you were told your son would never walk again. When you come home after serving your country you are welcomed by your son who is walking again and wanted to surprise you with this. Tissue time.
At first I cried, then I got distracted by DJ Finesse and the fact that more and more kids kept showing up to hug him.
ReplyDeleteSaw this on my local news this morning (right after doing my eye makeup..) And I bawled like a baby. I love wonderful stories like this. What a strong little boy.
ReplyDelete!!! Love it.
ReplyDeleteA wonderful tear jerker for sure, thank you.
ReplyDeleteFucking awesome.
ReplyDeleteGlad I'm not the only one who ruined my makeup this morning. Lovely story, thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteAnd yeah, DJ Finesse needed a bit more finesse. Shut it lady.
ReplyDeleteMs. Cool you made me laugh through tears and do that snort thing.
DeleteLooked like the Dad was expecting him to walk to me. Still sweet though.
ReplyDeleteAnd he looks too young to have 6 kids!!
ReplyDeleteOhhhh no, you're not doing this to me while I'm working Enty.....
ReplyDeleteBeautiful story!
ReplyDeleteAlmost ruined my make up, almost. Had to fight it back.
ReplyDeleteAwwwww
ReplyDeleteI'm not a crier, but this did it.
ReplyDeleteWhat about the rest of his kids? Sorry, they probably get shunted aside because the disabled child requires a lot of attention, but he barely hugged them.
ReplyDelete@Unknown:
ReplyDeleteThanks, Debbie Downer
If that doesn't tear you up, you are dead inside. Awesome!
ReplyDeleteGreat story, LOVE it!
ReplyDeletecrap crap crap! just put on my mascara!
ReplyDeleteDj Finesse .. Wow..
ReplyDeleteWhen he/she/it said " daddy's home " I just had to stop the video. Way to ruin a moment.. Who the eff thought it was a good idea to bring dj finesse?! So fired.
I admit, I was thinking the girls especially were not getting much in the way of hugs from the dad, but hopefully they got all the attention and quality time they wanted when the camera wasn't around.
ReplyDeleteI still totally cried, though.
Weeping like a f*cking baby. And that little boy refused to take his eyes off his daddy. OMG. Damn you for melting my heart. I try to keep it at an even 30 degrees at all times.
ReplyDeleteNobody else was bugged by his barely noticing the other kids at first? the freaked me out. they were just standing there looking around for almost a minute. I mean he hugged them but they had posters and stuff for him!
ReplyDeleteI just balled my eyes out!
