Demi Lovato & Britney Spears New Judges On X Factor
Apparently the possible combination of Britney Spears and Miley Cyrus was too much for the chewing gum and grammar police to handle on X Factor, so Demi Lovato got the youth judge opening after a spelling bee with Miley and will be in New York today with Britney Spears for the network upfronts and to introduce themselves to the world as the new X Factor judges. With as much money as the show is paying to judges, if this doesn't work then probably nothing ever will. Now Simon will have two women he can hit on and the one that sleeps with him first will probably get to stay an extra year. Hello Dannii Minogue. Isn't Dannii coming back to X Factor in the UK too?
Good luck, girls - you're gonna need it! Save that paycheck, don't spend it all on cheetos and coke and condoms.
ReplyDeleteBrit looks so dark in her eyes, where Demi (with all her known problems) still looks youthful and alive. Strange.
Well they are 10 years apart in age, and Brit certainly had/has enough of her own problems. Your twenties can add a lot of years to your face when you live that kind of life!
DeleteNow I am very happy for DL from rehab to recovery and a nice new gig, good for her, HOWEVER what advice can she possibly give acts?? The kid can't sing to save her life, who would possibly give a non singer a job as a judge on a singing competiti...... OH never mind lol
ReplyDeleteI was hoping for Miley. Darn!
ReplyDeleteI wonder if Britney will even be coherent. If she is, she will probably be so totally drugged up (on psych meds) that she will be a zombie.
ReplyDeleteI can't help but think this is too soon for either of them to be on national tv every week for 6 months.
ReplyDeleteI love X Factor UK ( I live in Ireland) but the amount of scrutiny and derogatory press both contestants and judges receive is immense.
I understand Simon wants people to tune in for the OMG , what will they do next? factor ( no pun intended), but I think this just shows Demi's handlers really don't have her best interests at heart.
At least Britney will have her Fiancee around as I heard he's a producer of some kind.
So does this mean every contestant on the show will be provided with their own set of AutoTune software?
ReplyDeleteNo one over the age of 14 knows any of Demi's music.
ReplyDeleteNo one watches this show, and DL is not going to make people start.
Britney alone would have been great. Bring back Paula. Demi?!? Epic fail!
ReplyDeleteWow, these two together on one show? Holy Shit! They are going to be showing up late, disappearing during taping, destroying their wardrobes, fighting with each other, howling at the moon, etc., etc. The insurance for this train wreck must be through the roof!
ReplyDeleteI was scanning through radio stations and heard some ridiculously horrid song about a plastic bag blowing in the wind, is that a Demi song? It was on radio Disney and she was the only person I could think of.
ReplyDeleteAlso, what is X Factor? Is it just like American Idol?
this show will be a trainwreck waiting to happen. I WILL be watching just to see these two.
ReplyDeleteAnd Howard Stern will be a judge on "America’s Got Talent."

Does no one realize that this is probably not a good idea for these women? Demi is also touring this summer which sounds like an overdose waiting to happen. I hope this works out but something tells me it will only end bad.
ReplyDeletehmm....so the two new female judges on the X-Factor are two young girls that went through breakdowns and still seem pretty vulnerable. It will be interesting to see the dynamic and interaction at the judges table with Simon and these two. Simon became famous for his biting, snarky comments to contestants and fellow judges but he's going to have to tread very lightly with these two and I don't know how much fun that will be to watch. We'll see I guess....
ReplyDeleteSimon will eat those two alive!!! I still pray for Britney! She hasn't looked the same since her breakdown. Dead in the eyes, but I still love her!
ReplyDeleteMe too. I love her.
DeleteWhy doesn't he just hire The Cracken too and cash in a Trainwreck Trifecta?
ReplyDeleteAgreed with above, it's much too early to put either of these women on TV - too many personal demons.
ReplyDeleteI'll be waiting for the shitstorm though!
Hm, from the couple of songs I've heard, I thought Demi was a pretty decent singer? Certainly better than Britney.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a joke. 2 girls who have been in the business for 15 years and under, are going to have the future of many talented people in their hands. Maybe I like the untalented Brit Brit as a judge a bit more,...but Demi Lovato???? Oh please.
ReplyDeletethese two were picked to get attention and ratings for Simons suckass show. S1 ratings were BAD, because this is just one show in a glut of talent shows. Dems schedule appears it was made to fit around this show, there are no shows for the first auditions and she tour will be over for the fall live shows.
ReplyDeleteSo far Demz is holding her own and Brit did one walk off, It will be interesting to see how they handle themselves when the show really gets going, Demi and Brit will have to coach and mentor people. Dem has picked up some things in treatment, but she still needs vocal training herself.
