Casey Anthony Moving To Costa Rica

When Casey Anthony's probation is finished in September she is planning on moving to Costa Rica. Apparently she has decided that no place in the US is safe for her and feels like she can lose herself in the Central American country. Casey had planned on never coming back when she left in September, but now has to go back to Florida on January 2 to answer questions in the defamation trial of the maid that Casey accused of kidnapping her child. Has it ever been determined that Casey knew who this maid was? Unless I read an article about the maid I can never remember her name so I'm not sure how she was defamed. As much as I loathe Casey Anthony, if she just picked a name out of thin air then I'm not sure how that defames someone. If she had picked Jane Smith, would they all be able to sue for defamation? The issue is that since she has to come back in January, now people who want to follow her back to Costa Rica will be able to do so. Apparently she has purchased a house on the beach through a corporation that was set up for her. Kill your kid and get a house on the beach.

  2. Lol, Vicki. It's too bad her daughter wasn't old enough to get out of the US. It wasn't safe for her either.

    Wasn't it a babysitter not a maid?

  3. Wasn't it Zenaida Gonzalez? Why do I even know this??

  4. @Vicki - my thoughts exactly!

  5. @Vicki, WORD!

If I recall correctly, somehow Casey read an application of some sort that Zenaida Gonzalez had filled out, from which she lifted identifying information to create a believable nanny for Caylee. Casey specified the actual names of Zenaida's 2 children, as well as the type and color of car she drove in conversations with friends, etc. She's suing on the premise that many people assumed she either kidnapped or killed Caylee Anthony which created havoc in her life.

  6. Vicki, I've had a horrible morning. Thanks for the chuckle!

  7. What angel said.

Casey based Zanny the Nanny on a real person, and that real person is suing.

  8. Zanny the nanny. I always got a kick out of that. How could the cops believe that for a second?
I know if I'd killed my kid, got caught, then in the most fortunate instance of my life was found not guilty, I'd get the fuck out of the country, too.

  9. Honestly, I can't blame the woman for wanting to sue... to have her name dragged into Casey's mess must have cost her some jobs (since she does take care of children for a living), not to mention the emotional impact of being dragged through it.

  10. Enty: "If she had picked Jane Smith, would they all be able to sue for defamation?"

Would that be a class action suit?

  11. Vicki, I was thinking something pretty similar as I read this, but you nailed it!

  12. Let her go to Costa Rica. Maybe someone can get a cheap hit out on her where they don't give a mess about US laws.

There is no amount of "suffering" that will ever be enough for Casey Anthony. Especially not when she's doing it from a beach house. Puh-leeze.

  13. let this bitch rot in costa rica. hate her so much, n i hope she never has more kids

  14. "Zanny the Nanny" was code for Caylee's babysitter, Xanax. When caught, Casey had to make up a 'Zanny' and this real person then suffered the consequences of being harassed and threatened.

  15. Vicki-thanks for the much needed laugh this morning! The thought of this bitch on a beach in Costa rica makes me sick.

  16. If the Nanny wins then at least some of Casey's precious $ will be gone, and that'll really hit her where she lives. She knows when her cash runs out, wherever the f*ck its coming from, she is a dead duck.

  17. This woman DID lose her job. She almost lost her home because of this bitch. And like Rose said, it's a damned shame Casey's poor little victim couldn't move to Costa Rica and escape her "mother."

    ReplyDelete
  18. Its too early for this bitch!

    ReplyDelete
  19. This lady was a real person who lost her job, was questioned and badgered by police, received death threats, people threatened her children, etc. etc. etc. Casey Anthony didn't just make up a name.
pretty callous today her life wasn't affected and that she doesn't deserve any recourse.

  20. Also, it's not fair Casey gets to spend the rest of her days living in paradise.

  21. Ok. I've never gotten the big deal about this woman. I know the basics and what not but I think the timing of all the press about this just doens't make it a huge deal to me. Just for some background, from the dates I'm finding her kid's death and the trial both happened at times when I was out of the country for several months each. When I got back this was all anyone was talking about and I just don't get it. Granted coming into the middle of something usually results in a lack of interest and having missed the build up to the case I never really bothered to get all of the facts, besides what I've read in comments and the occasional article I've read.

That being said, She was tried and found not guilty. Most of the evidence and accusations are insubstantial. Basing a judgement on someone's photo at a party isn't relevant. It makes them a bad parent but not a killer and if there was any real factual evidence and she got off on a technicality then that's one thing, coughOJcough. From my understanding though that isn't the case here. There was no real evidence and unless you want to admit that this woman is as great a killer as Ted Bundy or Charles Manson then you should probably think long and hard about how this actually fucking affects you, cause it doesn't.

She was tried and found not guilty and from what details I have read there wasn't much, other then proof that she was a bad mother, shown in that court case.

As for defamation Enty I'm kind of disappointed. Being a lawyer and calling someone a killer when they have been found not guilty is the definition of defamation. It's a good thing this is anonymous gossip otherwise someone would be quickly sued and disbarred.

This will be one time though that I'll make sure to check back later if someone can provide a link to more factual information about this case so I can be more informed. I would look myself but try and search Casey Anthony on Google and tell me how long it takes you to find actual information about the case.

As far as I'm concerned, right now, Casey Anthony was tried for the murder of her kid and found not guilty. Unless you have new evidence in the matter, she's innocent so lay off. She is nothing and will always be nothing. She has no potential. In 2 years the world will forget about her and she will live a meaningless life. Isn't that fairly worse then actual jail?

  22. sorry, I just choked, "when her probation ends in Sept.," I know people STILL on probation for growing med marijuana (even as stated by judge, that it was for med reasons), years, YEARS almost a decade after their bust.

    figures.

    ReplyDelete
  23. So...wait a minute, Enty. My corporate law is rusty here. She has a beach house bought for her through a corporation set up for her? So, IF she's held liable for defamation--no one would be able to touch the beach house unless they pierce the corporate veil somehow and prove it's a sham corporation? UGH. THIS BITCH.

  24. @uberbaldy, after her acquittal, various news opinion polls queried people from across the nation asking if they thought Casey did it or not, and the consensus was overwhelmingly that she did. And people were ANGRY, real angry about it.

I find it somewhat unusual that you put so much effort into criticizing Enty when you said yourself that you were out of the country and missed most of what went on.

  25. I guess the fact that she didnt report her dauhter's disapperance and then lied about this nanny kidnapping her isnt suspicious at all!?!?

    ReplyDelete
  26. She got the info when helping a friend apartment hunt - she took the info off an application she saw in the office, and later told the police that "Zanny" lived in apartment (forget the exact number) and even brought the cops there to search it before she admitted she made it up. She's a lying bitch and a murderer. Yes, I called her a murderer. Sue me.

    ReplyDelete
  27. It's not suspicious that she didn't report her daughter missing for, like a month. She was "looking for her on her own".

It's not weird that when Casey's mom found her car and called 911, she said it smelled like a dead body. It's not weird that their was computer searches on the computer for chloroform and other stuff. It's all perfectly innocent.

I'm too lazy to use google, because I just don't care what the evidence is. She is guilty.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Uberbaldy, she is as innocent as OJ...be glad you missed this circus, but just because she was found not guilty means nada!

    ReplyDelete
  29. The stupid bitch got the name from an apartment apps zinida filled out. I hope that casey anthonys get brutally raped and killed where ever she goes

    ReplyDelete
  30. I'm still confused that all these lies didn't warrant a guilty conviction. If you were innocent, the last thing you'd do was LIE about something.

Oh, this pisses me off so much. It has been my dream for more than a decade to eventually retire to a place on the beach in Belize. I know I probably will never be able to afford it, after a lifetime spent working for public institutions. To think that this murdering, lying whore will get to live the good beach bum life THAT SHOULD BE MINE chaps my ass. I hope she catches some tropical disease and dies from explosive diarrhea.

Uberbaldy, really, since you admit yourself that you don't know much about the case, were out of the country during most of it, and have done little research, how do you feel qualified to have an opinion on it? The evidence was not "insubstantial." The jury seemed to want evidence "beyond ANY doubt" rather than "any REASONABLE doubt" before they would convict her.

Also, please remember this was Florida. The chances of getting 12 sane, halfway intelligent people out of a random jury pool there are very, very low.

  32. I don't understand where she got all this money?

  34. All the depositions are out there, if you care to read them. Plenty of evidence was not presented. Her parents lied and lied and lied again - but were never prosecuted for telling their lies in court. Prosecutors admit they should have done this differently.

Isn't the jury still in hiding? Were their names ever released?

  35. As far as I'm concerned, this bitch deserves a nice beachfront property in Hades, with a lovely view of the river Styx.

  36. She lied througout the whole case; she never reported the little girl missing, lied to several people about the girls whereabouts for months; she was with a friend, the nanny took her and was untraceable, the girl was ill and therefore staying inside the house, that's why people didn't see her, etc etc;

she made up a job at Universal Studios (the cops didn't believe her and she was busted when they took her to her 'workplace'),

she took the time to research 'the nanny who did it', collecting information on her and then giving it to the cops, hurting a (proven) innocent womans life.

In her car there were traces found of chloroform, it was proven there had been a dead body transported in that car.

She planned this; it wasn't something in the heat of the moment.

The only problem is that there weren't any fingerprints/DNA found, so there was only indirect evidence. But every person in their right mind can see she is the one who did it, because of her strange behaviour. Too bad that's not enough to hold a case in court.

I've seen the crimescenephotos, this bitch has no heart. I hope she rots in hell and meets a Joran van der Sloot type of guy and she will sleep with the fishes. And I am sure people will track her down there and she will spend her whole life in fear, people will come after her.

  37. Too bad there isn't a real Dexter character to follow her to Costa Rica. Bitch is a murderer who deserves her comeuppance.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Yeah! Where is Dexter when we really need him? Right on!

    ReplyDelete
  39. Please, this all comes down to the fact that shoddy/lazy police work when no one listend to Roy Kronk and if they had found Caylee sooner they would of had all the DNA evidence they needed to fry the bitch.

Caylee was barely a skeleton when they found her. Of course they couldn't get any evidence from her. Such crap.

    ReplyDelete
  40. If any of you believe in true justice, she'll have her few years on the beach, but she'll be frying for eternity. Karma's a bitch.

    ReplyDelete
  41. y'all know a whole lot from reading a newspaper. opinion polls are not a jury.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Truer words @zelda, truer words...

After OJ's acquittal fiasco, I reassured myself that the country wouldn't forget this and assumed I'd never see anything like it again in my lifetime.

Casey's verdict was a stark reminder to never say never.

  43. White people love Costa Rica.

    ReplyDelete
  44. @uberbaldy, she was found Not Guilty in part because her slimeball attorney tossed out accusations against others that there was no basis for, no evidence presented to back up, and which the jury was admonished to NOT consider when deliberating. However, in the few juror interviews that were done, it's been stated that they did, indeed, consider and discuss those accusations.
Same slimeball attorney has stated that he felt it was his job to throw whatever he could at the wall to see if it stuck. Apparently, it did.

  45. Great, I have a friend going to Costa Rica for about six months, and a group of us were thinking about going to visit him - might have to re-think that visit...

    ReplyDelete
  46. and you just know Jose Baez will be down there with her. Fuck he probably arranged the WHOLE thing.

    we've all been had.

    ReplyDelete
  47. How did she get the money?? I thought everyone hated her.

    ReplyDelete
  48. "we've all been had" - that sums it up.

  49. This sounds like that chick from Canada who is living in the Caribbean now. She got a few years for murdering her sister and left the country---can't remember her name.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Costa Rico will not allow any convicted criminals to move to there until 10 years after conviction, so doubt this is true. Probably just a story put out there to throw people off her where abouts and future plans.

    ReplyDelete
  51. @njb
She's not a convicted crimial. She was aquited.

  52. I lived in Costa Rica for a while and was applying for residency and buying property, so I know a bit about their legals system....If you are not a citizen or resident, YOU personally cannot buy property. However, you can set up a corporation and hold title to the property as an agent of the corporation - president, VP, whichever. IN CR, you can stay there indefinitely (ie, live there) by leaving the country for 72 hours ( I think?) every 90 days. Which is how she gets around THAT rule. Everyone there will know her business and hate her; CRicans LOVE children and her cloud of doom will follow her there, and she will be a pariah. It's not like they are running around in grass skirts, They have just as much shitty TV as we do here - she just wants a fancy-ass place to go hang out at for a while until she gets chased away there.

  53. Orange County ought to sue her as well for the initial wild goose chase and complete waste of taxpayer dollars she put them through.
