It has been awhile since I had a plug your own thing day on Your Turn so if you have something you want to sell or link to or talk about or share with the world, here is your chance.
Thanks Enty! I will throw a plug in for my store www.marinamarket.com
We opened 14 years ago and sell International foods & candy and lots of Beer in the PNW. :) Oh I forgot the best part I have 300+ kinds of Licorice and am going for the World Record!
So many people are having a hard time financially, and unfortunately, many are abandoning their dogs as a solution. Please consider adopting a dog or making a donation to your local rescue group. They do a great job in rescuing animals, paying to get them healthy and finding great homes for them.
Here's a rescue that could use your help - 4 Paws Sake
My sisters awesome handmade glass beads, kaleidoscopes and more. She's only been doing this for about 3 years and has a rather large following. Pretty amazing stuff.
@katja -- cool looking store! I play cribbage tournaments in your town every few months ; will stop by for my British food fix the next time I'm there!
I'm just curious what happened to all that talk a few weeks ago about Enty being a fake. There was an article from the NY Post (I think) and BG made a big deal about it but now that item is removed from their site. Has Enty commented on this at all?
Not mine, but I always like to tell people, especially ladies, about www.beautypedia.com for product reviews and www.cosmeticscop.com for excellent skin care products and articles. Stop wasting your money on eye cream. :)
BitterBlondin, Enty never commented on it except to imply on his FB and Twitter that it was an April Fool's joke. I think some people left this site because of that article, and I think quite a few decided to stay.
I don't think anyone who has been here for a while ever believed that Enty was a 400 lb loser living in his parent's basement. Just about everyone knew that persona was a running joke, along with the obviously photoshopped pictures. If that article had appeared somewhere other than the NY Post, I might care. I like this site just as much for the people who comment here anyway, so I'm not going anywhere.
I never participate in this but I will now. I'm blogging. It's about using knitting for therapy and weight loss. www.yarndiets.wordpress.com :) Not everyone's cuppa, but what the heck!
BUY RAW MILK AND DAIRY! SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL FARMS! Check out the Weston A. Price foundation and pick up some Sally Fallon books. They've been life changing for me personally.
Plan to start blogging or writing on various topics. Was told by a deceased relative, in a dream about how we can all prevent cancer.
Lost over 120lbs, will share easy extremely methods for dieting and exercise, these methods and techniques were found and formulated over many years of trial and error, by me and aren't found in any existing diet or exercise book, videos, or instructors.
Was told in dreams, about other aspects about the nature of reality. Many of the information, wasn't known to me. I was later able to verify the information to be true.
I'm still in the planning stages, about where and how to best to share these information.
If this is an interest to anyone, just email me at phoenix111777@gmail.com, and let me know you're interested. When I'm ready to share to this, I'll let you guys know via email.
I do travel planning, specializing in Disney Vacations. But I also book Carnival, Princess and Royal Caribbean Cruises. As well as Beaches/Sandals and Universal Studios vacations. I also offer booking and referral gifts! My services are 100% FREE to you (yes really), as I am paid through the travel companies. Contact me for a no obligation quote on your next vacation!
Thanks Enty! My husband hand crafts quality custom cat trees and we donate 5% of our profits to local animal rescues. If you're in the Los Angeles area and need a cat tree or scratching post for your cat, please check us out at www.cutpricecattrees.com We also have a Facebook page.
Katja - I spent quite some time drooling over your impressive list of Swedish food items. My local IKEA stopped selling a lot of the stuff I used to pick up from the food store. Lame. Anyway, do you ship to Canada? *L*
I'll gladly plug my sis-in-law's new Etsy shop: http://www.etsy.com/shop/tookaeyoo She makes adorable knitted hats for babies/toddlers and also great jewelry. Check it out!
Nowzad has until July to secure funding and find a new permanent home. Time is running out for them.
Nowzad is a dog/cat rescue that provides shelter and medical care for stray animals in Afghanistan. Why rescue in Afghanistan? These pets were rescued by members of the military. The cats and dogs helped the troops have a sense of normalcy and a feel of home while on deployment. The charity along with American Dog Rescue seeks to reunite the pets with their rescuers.
Nowzad also participates in a spay/neuter and release program with the feral companion animals in the region.
Check out their website and their videos on YouTube. No dog/cat left behind.
One of my favorite contemporary authors, Brian Keene had his novel Ghoul adapted into a movie. It premiers tonight at 8 on Chiller. Here's the trailer http://video.chillertv.com/v1386471
Another of his novels Dark Hollow, has just been greenlit. I have a feeling will be seeing as many of his stories made into movies as we have by Stephen King.
