Today's Blind Items - The Two Dads
Today I'm introducing you to dads. Both of whom are the parents of actresses. Both of them are about as bad as it gets when it comes to fathers. One has pretty much escaped, but the other, well, she is not so lucky.
The first dad has been in trouble with the law and has a daughter who was once a promising B list movie actress. At a young age he started grooming his daughter for stardom. He would always put her in front of the camera. He also gave her lots of special attention. Not the kind of attention a man should be giving his daughter. He would take her head shots and as she got older and entered her teens he also started taking more risque photos of her and that led to them having sex. He even got her pregnant once. He would not let her date and was reluctant to ever let her go to school. His hard work on his daughter's behalf paid off and she became successful. He could not handle the success though and the attention she started getting from guys. He made her live with him and continued to photograph her and also filmed them having sex. Her once promising career has now become a drug abused mess who will never truly get better until her father dies. He still sends her out for auditions but is there for everyone and has made himself and his daughter a pariah in the acting community.
The other dad actually got lucky and his daughter hit the big time. Not A list, but a big tween star. He also enjoyed special time with her, but it was not actual sex. He molested his daughter, and not just the star. He has other kids and now that his eldest is too big and has fought back he has set his eyes on his other kids. The talk that he wants more kids just sickens me.
OMG, is the first Michael and Lindsay? He doesn't still send her on auditions does he?

ReplyDeleteI think Ryan and Tatum are out for #1 b/c I doubt he still sends her out on auditions as she's in her 40's now and he was estranged from her for a while (the whole hitting on her at the funeral, not recognizing her thing). I think the Lohans miraculously are too, since Michael and Lindsay are often known to be in different places at the same time.

I think that was just a typo. I think it should have been " every one" not "everyone". In other words, he is there at every audition, thus creeping people out and ruining the audition since they know if they hire her they'll also be getting him.

Neither of the dads are probably famous, though, so I need to stop thinking dads and start thinking daughters.

#1 is definitely Thora Birch. Her dad has gotten her fired from several big roles due to his behavior (Roles in Dracula on stage and the movie Mansion Girls). It's a shame, because she has such talent....

Hollywood - and every place else needs child advocates. This is unacceptable! If people know about this, why weren't the police called? How many movie stars know about this stuff and stay silent? How many of them are we helping make rich by seeing their movies?
ReplyDeleteI don't understand this, it disgusts me to the point where I'm filled with rage, but it looks like most people choose to be silent witnesses to child rape and exploitation. I know - I grew up in a highly religious area where stuff like this was covered up all the time by the church authorities here - no one helped the victims when they could.
I'm to the point where I believe anyone who hurts a child or animal should be put down.
For all those who are shouting that Enty should turn this over to the police, remember this is GOSSIP. Last time I checked you cannot take gossip to a police precinct and start an investigation let alone prosecute anyone on hearsay. Also for all we know an investigation could have been pursued but folks paid off or, neither party chosing to cooperate/admit to offense, or a huge cover up has ensued. In all my years on this site I have never found Enty to be malicious or make a dime off of other's heartache, IMHO.

The casting couch is part and parcel of this. As many victims as there are, I wonder if people in Hollywood fail to distinguish between victimization and their own personal experience of submitting to the system.

It gets covered up, because people are afraid; kids are often brainwashed & convinced not to tell or something very bad will happen to them. Victims of abuse often can have a very hard time leaving the abuse, because they're made to feel worthless & unable to survive without the abuser. It's awful.

As far as the Cyrus family goes, Miley has one older/slightly younger brother by her dad - both moms were groupies that got preggers. Then Letitia and Billy Ray had the other 2. I've read articles about the common practices of parents passing their children around, having sex with their children as well as knocking them up as far back as the 60's. There's no doubt in my mind that it probably happened before then as well. There is just something evil about Hollywood.

Please don't assume that everyone in the industry knows about these cases. Victims of abuse are often isolated and brainwashed not to tell anyone. Unless someone is witness to the actual sexual abuse, there can only ever be two people who can reveal the truth and that's the victim and the victimizer. We don't know who Enty's source is and how many degrees of separation exist from this source to the actual people involved in the abuse or person who may have witnessed it. Hollywood is a community representative of many other communities all over the world. There are good people and bad people, secrets and lies that people hold on to and those they try to expose. It's just as bad to accuse everyone in Hollywood to turning a blind eye as it is to make false assumptions about possible victims and convict their possible assailants when you're just guessing for (sick) entertainment's sake. A lot people in the entertainment industry, whether high profile or low profile, have never even met each other or worked together to be privy to this kind of information.

That should provide some much needed perspective for those wanting to condemn and judge everyone in entertainment who allegedly allow this to go on knowing full well what's happening b/c sexual abuse is so out in the open. It's one thing to know that it happens b/c it happens everywhere, it's something completely different to know who it's happening to and who's the abuser. But I guess it makes it so much easier to be able to feel superior by assuming we all just know but don't care. Whatever.

ReplyDeleteFYI, Police cannot act on second hand information, which is what this is (UNLESS Enty personally witnessed the events or had the info relayed directly to him by one of the victims).
ReplyDeleteNow if any of this is true, then there IS some first hand info somewhere. Those are the people who have to report it.
By making the info more public, it may help those with the direct knowledge to go ahead and report it.

ReplyDeleteThere are undercover agents all over the Internet trying to catch pedophiles so I hope that some kind of law enforcement bureau has been alerted about all these blinds involving molestation stories. I am sure LAPD has an email address that these links can be forwarded to. In this case, whoever the actress is, she is an adult so unless she turns her father in what could the police actually do?

@SelenaKyle yes that is the historic origin of the Illuminati (like the Freemasons) but conspiracy theorists have taken it to a whole different level.
ReplyDeleteNot disputing that a secret society that in all likelihood does still exist might have some inherent issues wrt public perceptions, but honestly many people who put forth current allegations wrt Illuminati may be suffering from mental illness. Seriously. Both bipolar type 1 and schizophrenia can make you extremely paranoid, and think you see/hear things that are not actually there (A Beautiful Mind is a perfect real life example). So honestly I believe a lot of the current Illuminati talk is generated by people who truly need to seek professional help, and that others glom on for the oh shit/rubbernecking effect. Also sociologists have written a lot of interesting stuff on conspiracy theories over history and why there is a "need" for them (to explain the unexplained, to give an "easy" answer when the real answer is very complex and not just "the CIA killed JFK", etc) and its interesting to note that they are not a 1st world problem but that within the US they have definitely taken off in the past few decades following JFK's death and Watergate, then were on the downtrend, then popped up again with a fervor following 9/11.
Ok back to the latest blind- I don't doubt ritual abuse occurs. I do doubt it occurs frequently (as in I don't think it goes on every day in every city). I don't doubt that some people in Hwood are sexually inclined to unconvential things and act on them (incest for example). I do doubt that it is somehow institutionalized into the entertainment business formally, I just think there may be some sick people who have too much power and act on their desires to the detriment of others.
And with all who don't want to know the answer to this blind and would much prefer a kindness one.
If all this Himmmm/abuse stuff isn't going somewhere I think CDAN may no longer be a site I regularly visit because I do feel its beginning to devolve on this topic into something I don't want to take part in.
I wonder what each of us would do if we had an encounter with Thora, Hayden, any that we suspect. Could we even make eye contact?

ReplyDeletePerhaps what Enty and some other blogs that are posting more of these horrible blinds are actually trying to do, is to raise awareness to help get these laws passed.
Unfortunately, the reality is that most of this is gossip. "Everyone knows" but that's not enough for law enforcement to do anything, and the people who are in a position to actually to do anything, WON'T - because... millions and millions and millions of dollars are at stake.
That's why scumball producers and directors are allowed to run free (as long as they don't get a any bad PR), and why they let stars and their families go wild until they utterly collapse. It's Show Business honey - not Show Art.
Until the laws change forces change and a little bit of protection, expecting someone "to call the cops" when their entire career is on the line, when they could be blacklisted... and is kind of naive.

You are on a celebrity gossip website, and this is celebrity gossip. It is ugly, but it's a reality not only in Hollywood but everywhere in the world.

Think this is Jamie Spears, molesting Jamie Lynn, previously molesting Britney. I've been lurking here for a while now, and it seems to me that Enty has a worrying fixation with underage actresses having sex and/or being abused by either their fathers or the people who should be caring for them.
ReplyDeleteSo it makes me wonder whether he makes a lot of this stuff up. Which begs the question of why he would do such a thing.
He also shows a distinct lack of understanding in how the entertainment business works. One of my friends is a chaperone for underage actors/actresses and is with them at all times during the filming process and when they're in lessons, so a lot of what Enty says can't possibly happen. There are too many safeguards on child actors. Obviously this can't save them from their parents, but it must curtail many of the excesses that Enty insists happens.

Unfortunately, they are also confused with another group who has purposely gave themselves the same name to confuse the people (these folks are not so benevolent). They also the same group coined with the name "the powers that be" or the "elite".
I can't 100% a conspiracy, but like I said truth is stranger than fiction.

ReplyDeleteThere is a difference about wanting to read about celeb gossip (who's dating who, who's doing drugs, etc) and wanting to read repeated stories of child abuse/rape/incest, regardless of the fact that the victims may be in entertainment. I do hope that if any of this abuse stuff is real something absolutely does happen-- so if it's actually true, then it should be addressed (and though a lawyer is bound by certain rules of confidentiality, bloggers and others who are aware of this first-hand not based on conjecture are not and should act). But the CDAN I like to read is not primarily focused on this-- unless is truly is going somewhere that will have an impact.
If this stuff isn't true, what sicko is making it up? It's disgusting! And why do they need to make these so horrible? They could easily write fake blinds about other stuff that's not do disturbing.

I agree with the others who say that Enty seems to be obsessed with this topic, and I DON'T think it's good that he/she prints these if he's/she's not going to do anything concrete about it. I come here to see what people are wearing and who's dating whom, not this stuff. I deal with this stuff day in and day out as a social work intern, and I don't want it in what should be my harmless gossip.

I too like reading gossip about adult celebs. But this speculation about underage actresses being abused is very iffy. In British law a rape victim is entitled to anonymity. The fact of these blinds being about famous people should not change that.
ReplyDeleteOne wonders how the actresses would feel if they read this page. If it's true, they're just being violated all over again. And if no one is reporting these offences it can only be for the sake of titillation. If it's all made up, then they're going to feel sickened, as many of us are.
And don't forget, that it's not just the actresses' lives that are being ruined. Their fathers and the lives of other men around them are also ruined by such speculation. If it's true, they may deserve it. But if none of this is true ... well it doesn't bear thinking about.

ReplyDeleteObviously, you find something worthwhile to read about on CDAN otherwise why lurk? I think your opinion is wrong about stuff being made up in that it could not possibly be true, when in fact it is probably more likely true and not fiction. Most of the blinds do not show a good side, positive side to being a celebrity or of Hollywood. Hollywood history in general can support that it is not always what you can see on the surface.
I think blinds like this are a step in the right direction as a way of getting people talking and wanting those who are guilty outed and sooner rather than later. I do feel very sorry for those who have had to endure such awful treatment and I think talking about it goes a long way to stopping it.

It's definitely Thora since he will not allow any legitimate agency represent her, he manages her solely so of course is the only one sending her on auditions. She needs to get a restraining order and needs help, she's borderline in a cult, and the cult leader is her dad. Remember the whole John Phillips/Mackenzie Phillips reveal? Mackenzie felt alone and didn't tell anyone about it and people regret not being there for her. Well if you have the means, someone needs to save this girl!
