Stalker Of The Year?

Jessie J might have the stalker of the year winner. As you may know, the singer broke her leg last year after a fall. The Sun says that a teenage stalker of Jessie J wanted to be so exactly like the singer that the teen broke her own leg just to be more like Jessie. Seriously? How do you break your own leg? I know how you can do it, but at some point right before your leg is going to break, don't you say to yourself, "you know, this is ridiculous. I could probably achieve the same sort of result if I just wear a cast." Either that or find someone to emulate after they have had more than a few hits. You don't want to be the person in a bar 20 years from now who is telling stories about how you did everything Jessie J and people are asking who Jessie J was.

  1. I don't need to wait 20 years. Who is Jessie J?

  2. Anyone to go that far has some serious mental issues and needs a shrink fast.

  4. I don't know who Jessie J is, other than a pop singer, possibly British. I thought she was a porn star, but that's Jesse Jayne or James or something, right?

Regardless, that is some seriously mental behaviour on the part of the stalker. The physical pain coupled with the long and short term consequences are worth it, I'm sure. Not to mention the time and work essentially wasted by the medical professionals that had to attend to this person whom willfully & seriously injured themselves...I hope they shuttled the stalker directly to the hoo hoo house after treating them. Jeez, I can't even begin to imagine the thought process behind this and then the execution of the plan. This person is clearly a danger to themselves, and possibly others.

  5. She won't be the person in a bar twenty years from now, she'll be the person in a mental institution.

  6. The way the media lately makes everyone "stars", breaking your leg to be the next one isn't so crazy sounding.

  7. Love Jessie J - she is just starting to get a lot of recognition, after years of doing things like, she was the house entertainment for the last MTV music awards, I think, might have been the AMA's or Grammys. Anyway, when they were going to commercial, she was the one singing. They had her sitting in this throne type chair because she had just broken her leg. She was also the musical guest on SNL awhile back. She's a really good singer and seems to have working really hard in the biz. I think she is judging one of the x-factor type shows in the UK also.

  8. If you live in the US and DONT listen to pop music, this chick is still as confusing as when she was on the only mtv music awards I've ever seen (and with a broken leg) doing odd cover songs from a chair. She's pretty and can sing, but I don't get it. Okay princess, glad she worked hard and it's paying off. I guess it's a british thing.

  9. As bat shit crazy as this stalker chick is, she'll probably make it down to my neighborhood sometime in the next 20 years. We already have a homeless woman who grabs at and screams at people. And we have a man in a wheelchair who blocks intersections while screaming curse words if you don't give him money. This chick will have to find her niche in the hood.

  10. @nolachickee -- nice 'hood you got there. Sounds entertaining at best...

  11. @hunter - it's entertaining. Truth is, there's about five homeless people that stay in my hood. And you don't see them all of the time. It was much, much worse when I lived in NYC. I could count on someone harassing me every time I left my place. That was pre-Rudy Giuliani NYC, before he cleaned it up.

  12. What's really sad is that I've heard this kind of thing before! A few years ago a woman in the UK had her boyfriend break her leg so they could sue their landlord. They were planning to say their apartment wall fell in and broke her leg. She propped her leg on a brick and the guy jumped up and down on it until it broke! Both of them ended up getting arrested.

Now, obviously that was a crazy thing to do, but at least those people had a motive that makes some sense: getting $$$. This person's motive is, "I want to be like Jessie J". That's REALLY crazy.

  13. I like Jessie J. She has written several songs for other artist, maybe not the best example but she wrote "Party in the USA" for Miley Cyrus and other pop songs.
