Sarah Palin Co-Hosting Today Show

While one network brings out Kate Couric on their morning show this week, Today decided to have some revenge on their old morning host by having her go against Sarah Palin on Tuesday morning. In what is turning out to be a war for morning viewers, what better way than having Katie and Sarah go head to head. Today says that Sarah will show a side of her that she has never shown before when she co-hosts. Huh? How does someone do that? She has more sides? Plus, how o they know in advance she will do that? I think just promoting the appearance is probably enough to get people interested although I don't know if people will miss Katie in the morning. It is where she was beloved, albeit on a different network.

  1. Anything is better than Ann Curry, but I bet Matt is going to be a little bitch to Palin.

  2. April isn't even sweeps month. What are they going to do for May?

  3. Oh yeah, Matt will be horrid to Sarah. But u know what? This may be Palin's milieu-mindless patter about inane topics!
(I believe it is obvious I detest daytime tv, esp. "news shows" that aren't. )

  4. I was watching the Today Show this morning while I worked out... they talked to Sarah on the phone while she's traveling to New York. Matt has already gotten jabs in (as I expected) and Sarah Palin had no sense of humor about it (as I expected). I'm guessing that tomorrow, you'll be able to cut the tension with a knife.

  5. 1. Ratings.

    2. I think some kind of TV role (talk show host, reality TV, etc.) is her true destiny, as some people find her likeable and find her story compelling. (Not me.)

    3. Maybe she's trying to get 'lamestream media' exposure before staging some kind of stunt at the GOP convention.

  7. Matt's true love is Katie Couric. No one can convince me those two weren't getting it on. He use to blush when she teased him. I use think, "get a room." I KNOW one day they will confess to their affair in either his or her autobiography in the future, like Barbara Walters did.

Since Palin was such a little meanie to his sweetheart about the famous interview, I know Matt is going to go

  8. "Enty" is not an entertainment attorney; he does Wills and Probates:

  11. Did anyone watch Game Change on HBO?

  12. Did Matt ask her what magazines she reads? If he didn't I sure wish he would!

I think what threw Palin off when Couric asked her that was the whole concept of "reading," Idiot.

  13. @Jennifer H - When they had her on the phone, he asked what she was doing to prepare for tomorrow and specifically asked if she was "reading newspapers." She got all bitter and told him that wasn't the way to get off on the right foot.

  15. Sarah can't be any worse than Ann. I quit watching Today at the end of Meredith's time on the show--it's been a downhill slide since then so this is no surprise to me.

I quit my Today fixation when it quit being a news program.

  17. I don't know what audience they are trying to appeal to with this stunt but I wouldn't watch her on anything. Doesn't Fox have her shrewness on contract?

  18. ENTY is not a lawyer, but I think ENTY is an A or B list actor/actress.

  19. NBC promises they're going to show a side of Sarah that nobody has seen before. What side would that be? The smart one?

HATE that woman. And her daughter Biscuit too. Whine, whine, whine. Complain, complain, complain. It's all they do.

  20. "ENTY is not a lawyer, but I think ENTY is an A or B list actor/actress."

With all due respect, would an A- or B-list actor/actress REALLY have the time to maintain this site?! Highly doubtful.

  21. Oh, let Enty secretly be a B-list actress, and let these posts be something typed up inbetween her blowing her coke dealer and getting her toenails painted! That makes the site even more fun for me.

However, I doubt it. Seriously doubt it. Many of these posts do not seem as if they were written by someone who just got a pedicure.

  22. @Jason...we are in total agreement there, buddy!

  23. The only reason for Sarah Palin being on tomorrow is because Katie Couric is subbing all this week on ABC - it's about numbers, and keeping viewers at NBC, instead of them checking Katie out.

  24. I don't care for Katie Couric and Ann Curry is the WORST. I won't need to watch this. I'm sure every other media outlet and comedian will be covering it.

  25. Jason - "Biscuit" - Priceless!

Barton - Got a vision there - and loved it!!!

I don't watch any of the major morning shows - I prefer my local morning show. They usually have a pet from the local SPCA shelter. How can your day not start off right when you see a cute little puppy or kitty????
